It hot! I'm clues how the the spinner thing got up in tree.
Short day at work. I text Liz therapist and ask him if he could put in window air condition. I know Liz wouldn't ask. I did tell her I text Dave about putting in air condition. He said he would. This afternoon I stop in at Regis and he doesn't have an air condition and had plenty of chance to have one put in. No cost to him. So I was for only and hour today. I will go to his place in morning. He has appointment at library to have someone help him with transfer his photo from his old phone to his new phone.
Just put up our first read in. This up coming Thursday August 4 in the evening. It like a sit in. I did order one professional made sign....”WE SUPPORT OUR LIBRARY BOARD” and also order couple of custom made buttons...”ALL BOOK MATTER” and “LIBRARIES ARE FOR EVERYONE”
I hope some other comes up with other events. I'm willing to organize two more read in. One in the morning and on a Saturday. I figure to make home made sign saying “DICTORSHIP WANTS TO BAN BOOKS” and the other sign I want to say something about “Intellectual Freedom” Here is a ARTICLE about our library. Question time...have you been to a protest?...I only been to one.
Coffee is on and stay safe
The air conditioner is a life saver these days!
ReplyDeletecute spinner
ReplyDeleteI’m loving your read in idea. The folks who ban books are never on the right side of history.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get plenty of people at the next read-in.
ReplyDeleteI hope the air conditioner will be fitted soon because the heat is unbearable. Today, it is not so hot here. Hope it will rain in the afternoon as forecasted. Why would anyone wants to ban books?
ReplyDeleteI don't know where my comment ended up! I can't see it.
ReplyDelete...it's HOT here too!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading my 30th book for the year.
ReplyDeleteFrustrating when someone can get an air conditioner and won't. I wonder what hoops Regis is resisting (or having trouble navigating) that's keeping him from having one.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're able to get him that air conditioner. Banning books is just plain stupid, if yo don't like a book don't read it.
ReplyDeleteSome older folks are always cold. My father never turned his up. Even though he lived in Florida. Staying at their place was difficult. Too hot & stuffy. Who is trying to ban books in your community? I don't understand that.
