Cousin Della, at times she makes me laugh. Not as if she funny. Don't get me wrong she does have since of humor. But her and her conspiracy theories. I sure it's on both sides. But I think and feel it runs more heavily in others. One of those gene things. This morning I was strolling though facebook and she posted. That she thought her husband Basil might have Covid. Not sure about him, but she thought they have chips in the vaccine. And that how the government will keep track of us. Statement time...If any top notch government interesting in me. There just desperate. Than also Della said she won't let them stick anything up his nose. I've known a few “nut cases” they think Government is deliberately spreading the virus when they do the swab. I'm guessing she one of them.

It been a while since I check our local numbers. Look like there 6 new cases of covid. One boo boo I think the home test kit did. And I know not everyone will do it. But I think there should have been site on line or phone number that you could register if your negative or positive.
Work was routine. When I sign out from Regis on our so called electronic phone apps. There was message that the company book keeper resign. I know she was quite frustrate with this entire EVV. It has it down falls. Like a lease once week for some reason we can't sign in or out. Either it cell towers and company they contract with isn't working out.
It depends on which program under in home/personal care giver might have. Is how they get paid. I'm straight pay. But there are workers when there doing cleaning get one wage and anther one doing personal care get anther wage. If a person takes a client to a official medical appointment as there in office. Some caregiver won't get paid. There people who need assistance when they see the doctor. Such as Regis, he tells every doctor something else. And has trouble with reality. I can see and understand why book keeper left. Couple of time I talk her she cussed about EVV program.
If they didn't change the social security age requirements and cut benefit back. I would of left home care. If I retire right now I would get between $700 and $800 a month. If I wait until I'm closer to 64 I would end up between. $850 and $950 a month. The only reason we could live on that we don't have high living cost. If retire at 62, I would end up getting cut about 30% of my social security. Even retiring at 64 I will take cut about 20%. If work to full retirement, age 67. I would get something $1,165 to $1,265. My body and mind won't handle it.
But one thing I wouldn't fight for my job. If for some reason I was to be dismisses. I would resign. There such shortage of caregiver.

ReplyDeleteSo sad that your cousin is out there. It blows my mind that people still just don't get it. Honestly, the right wing news media and politicians on that side have done so much damage with their brain washing. You'd never know we are an educated society. He just came home from work and is positive, meaning he exposed everyone he works with. Sigh...Sorry to hear things at work are difficult. I'm 71 and worked til I was 67 even though for me, I could have retired earlier. Maybe the thing to do is continue to work, but change your job to something less stressful and less physical? My hubby is still working and has no plans of retirement.

Those conspiracy theories are pretty funny sometimes but scary too, people believe the strangest things.
