Don't remember when last time I sat and watch to two dvds. One was movie “All quite on Western Front” and one about Yayoi Kusama. I was trying to figure why she choose a mental ward to be her home. She been in one since 1977. She says she fells safe there. I understand about feeling “safe” there been time I couldn't express my self, because it wasn't safe.
Lot of things. Not sure how many things. But there things bother me about my life. Which I don't remember, not totally. One thing for sure I know none of our life is perfect. I was taught I was this horrible child and no other child was as horrible as I was. I've wish for sibling so I didn't feel like I was compare to the entire world.
Been thinking about retirement. I mention about getting involved in local art and quilting club. But I like to be involved in one more thing when I retire. Two other places I thought was pearl theater or the local museum. But now I'm thinking about trying to bring the ideal of HUMAN LIBRARY. Actual you don't check out person, each of you share your personal story. But what notice these events seems to be in larger city. But it an ideal. Not sure if it will be come anything. Since there plenty to do around the place, maybe 2 activities will enough for me.
I decided to share my cognitive ability. I had to say I'm not sure where mine is at. I'm starting to feel and think my cognitive ability leans more to ones environment.
Going to my sister in law for Easter. So before we leave I will stop by and read quite a few of my blogs on Sunday morning.

Have a Happy Easter and good time with your Sister-In-Law for the Holidays my Friend!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise you don't have siblings. I like the art piece that looks like different colour bamboos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! Valerie
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you all
ReplyDeleteYes we all have baggage from our past. We all just try to survive one day at a time
I hope you can keep surviving yours
Happy Easter, Peppy. I hope you find the activities which will make your retirement enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Wishes to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Abusive parents create a lifetime of troubles. From what I understand, a sibling might not have been the buffer you'd think. Sometimes parents single out one child.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, sorry you were treated badly as a child.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your childhood, I had sibblings, it didn't make it any better - just more responsibility for me. I'm glad you can look back and see that what was wrong was not your fault though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, hope you had a good day at your sisters. I've heard about human books; not sure I would feel I have anything to share about my life; but think it would be interesting to talk to people who've immigrated about their experiences. With all the reading/listening I've done of late with WWII books, the idea of human books really comes alive. When the Nazi's burned booked and closed libraries, people found a way to keep culture alive by memorizing books to verbally tell others about (specifically in the camps I've read). Looking forward to retirement has to be exciting for you.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
I hope you had a nice Easter.
ReplyDeleteHuman Library sounds interesting. I understand what it is like to have a crappy childhood. It stays with you. Hope you had a great Easter visit.
ReplyDeleteI was alone at Easter, just visited Rick and brought him an Easter basket. You will see when you are retired you have less time then while you were working !
ReplyDeleteI have trouble getting through a single show on Netflix. ;-) Have trouble sitting still.
