Drama Break!!! For about two weeks. As I left you all hanging on the soap opera of Liz and Regis. Let do quick review of who these two people are. They're the ones I'm a personal care giver for.
They consider them self brother and sister. But there not blood related. At one time Regis was married to Liz sister. So they were in-laws at one time.
Regis has schizophrenia and Liz is bi polar. Both had some pretty hard trauma though there life. So they know each other for years.
It doesn't matter who the male is or what sort of relationship Liz may have with him. Regis has a melt down.
The day Liz ex came back. Regis was over Liz place. They slept apart. So once Regis saw Liz ex. He started to have a melt down, asking for pills and other drugs.
Not sure what he exact did there, and it hard to tell. But soon he has calling everyone to come and get him. Liz was worried he was going to start knocking on her neighbor doors. He text me around 7 in morning to come and get him. At that time I was clueless what was going on. His friend Breton came and got him.
So for about last two weeks he been doing more off wall things. Cutting him self and about every evening there a welfare check from the police. One of neighbor told me he walk out side with out any clothes on. “Yelling” for me. Of course the police came.
I had plan to take off Tuesday and Wednesday, he want to meet up with his friend Gelya this Saturday, In Spokane. Which I don't mine. But on Wednesday he start to text and call me about his remote. Plus about his friend Breton phone number. On either I couldn't do anything about it at that time.
So I came home and was about ready to set down for dinner. The phone rang and it was our local hospital. They ask if I could coming and get him. Regis cut him self again. He was texting weird text to his therapist and she called to police and ambulance. Well both of department came. As the police was there he load up his BONG with marijuana and start to smoke it. So they took his marijuna and bong from him.
Plain and simple it illegal in Idaho. I think most law enforcement here turn blind eye, but lighting up marjuna and smoking it blatantly in front of two police officer, is something else. They could of bust him and toss him in jail.
So Laim is gone for around two weeks. And is coming back. I know when Regis find out Liam gone he will be one happy camper. But soon as he shows back up it never ending drama. It doesn't matter who the guy Liz see or whatever. He has a melt down. I seen six of them and it involves a guy.
If I had money I would leave town in about two weeks.
Anther cold day.

ReplyDeleteRegis head is really in a mess isn't it? It must be so hard for him and for you. Does Liz show any concern about him at all? Does she worry when he goes "off the rails?"

ReplyDeleteYou are paid to do a job, within certain hours and that should be it. But I do understand that you care however it was not your job to pick him up from the hospital and that was an attempt at buck passing.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it is time for Regis to be placed in an institution as he really shouldn't be alone. He is past assisted living status. He needs 24/7.
