In past blog I post about retiring and having some type of “Creative Studio” in our basement. But what is feasible. I once had SLIP CAST CERAMIC shop and I have all my molds, kilns, and such. It would be impossible to go full steam a head. Let look at facts. I can't and don't think it would be wise to rent or purchase a building in the area. Making payments or rent would be a struggle. Space in the basement would be limited of what could be done. And how many people could come in and be safe. In all honestly no more than 6 could be in at time., including my self. Confession time...I have my parasitism ways. So there a certain clientele I wouldn't want to be around. Plus this LINK might give you ideal. A decision don't need to be made at this moment. Can't do much until I retire. So this is making me mainly making me depress and angry. Time to put in safety deposit box for the time being.
This morning hubby and I watch the national news, and they had a story about DON"T SAY GAY. I can't come up with one thing that can't be discuss in civil tone. I grew up in family that we SUPPRESSED and or REPREES. Now I see a therapist. Keeping things in closet sooner of later things fall out. Opinion time....We would live in a better world if we had more open discussion though out our life's.
Still waiting to find out if our local art club is still a thing, or doesn't. I was wondering how art shows became.
When my niece and I went down to the art at Gonzaga Urban Art Center. I was wondering how they found the artist to take part in this showing. The curators OLIVIA EVANS and TRACY POINDEXTER CANTON they also had their piece in exhibit. I find it uncomfortable being my own curator. But I'm sure there plenty of artist out there who does a bit of it. If I didn't go to JUNDT and ask if there was any of student art work, I would of never learn about URBAN ART CENTER. But saying “Hey could you look at my work” is difficult for me. Even asking some employee in store is difficult for me. Put it in nut shell I have feeling of inadequacy in lot of things. That has put a stifle in my life.
Went to town to get some items, I was going to change my voter register back to a Republican. The county clerk had quite a line. IDAHO is a close primary when it comes to voting. Last I heard there no democrat running in my county or next one down. I sure don't want either one of these candidate making it to the general election. JANICE MCGEACHIN or AMMON BUNDY. Bundy drop out Republican party and now is running as independent candidate. Don't know much about the other candidate on Republican, compare to some of the people vote here, our current governor Brad Little is flaming liberal. Since I'm on candidate rant I might well link you to the letters my local reps that does down to Boise for me, which is SAGE DIXON and HEATHER SCOTT. There been a so called new political lines drawn in my state. I understand Heather will not be my rep. But not sure if Sage will be or not. Only democrat here get elect is usually from Boise area. So voting democraticc is a waste of time in primaries. As far as I'm concern Ammon and Janice is a lunatic. If your wondering about Idaho candidates, google them. In 2016 primary Idaho vote for Ted Cruz and our county carried him.
Clean some in bathroom. Still cold. Today Artist is HAYLEY BARKER who from the state of OREGON
Coffee is on and stay safe
We don't have democrat or republican primaries in our State, you can vote in either. That way we ensure that idiots are elected.
ReplyDeleteI hope the art helps your anxiety
ReplyDeleteI hope you can find a way to do your ceramics studio. It sounds like that would make you happy.
ReplyDeleteWe have elections soon too and I have no idea who to vote for. I never know anyway, but usually I can choose by the voting day.
ReplyDeleteI don’t understand how your voting system works. It sounds complicated to me. But I’m an outsider probably makes perfect sense to you.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a community center? Maybe you could look at running classes though that.
Sometimes, especially when someone asks if I can make them something, I consider running crochet classes Who knows maybe I will some day soon
Think you are right, things kept in the closet eventually fall out, always best to address issues and work them out. Hope your voting needs are met and that you can find a way to access or start up even a creative group.
ReplyDeleteGreat art. Hope you can get the anxiety under control- Have a great weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOMG, 78% voted for the megalomaniac! Girlfriend, you have to get away from such a toxic place.
ReplyDeleteI read about the Florida legislation in our own press here and it is outrageous, so bad even a number of republicans voted against it.
I like the last painting.
I hope you will decide on something that you will enjoy doing and keep you relaxed. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDelete...Bonners Ferry, Idaho doesn't sound like my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely get that basement squared away as an art /craft studio! We are looking to buy a house and I so want to do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteMy brother in Idaho says he has to switch to republican to vote, since there are no democratic candidates. He and his wife think Ammon Bundy is a lunatic, but wonders if he'll be elected simply because he's a lunatic and there are a lot of them out there.
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian watching American politics from afar, I am amazed at how often you vote there. It sounds complicated too. So important though.
ReplyDeleteI went though and tried so many different crafts to keep me busy but none of them really stuck. I hope you find something to keep you busy.
ReplyDeleteI take for granted the semi sane political climate here in New York …
ReplyDeleteA slip cast ceramic studio might do quite well. My mother loved ceramics and all her classes were always full. I liked the art today. Thank you for sharing.
