I've been trying to figure out why I can't pull any photo off my xD card. And couple of comment suggest it might be my xD so I took my card down to our local photo place, "Photo Plus"
So I plug in my card and it worked fine. I didn't just plug it in. I had two photos printed and it cost me forty cents.
Question time...Have you every post a something and thought I should blog about that? Mine right now would be about people getting a free ride or mooching.
I thought it was my multi reader and I even went and got a new one. When I put it in a port there will be red light that lights up. Absolutely nothing.
I'm hoping after coffee I will get a chance to take my lap in to my niece.
The lap top isn't worth taking it to a shop. Actual it runs fine other then the photo issue. It only worth on high end, $80.
Murphy replace part of the guts to the toilet. Then I went to work. Saturday is pay day. I can take care of the finical end of life.
I was going to post how I stay with in my calorie count for last few days. That would be a flat lie. But I did make a plan to try a Smore frappuccino at Starbucks. I've pretty much stay with in my calorie count. Planning meals has help.
Confession time....If I didn't have the frappuccino I would be slightly under my 1847. My choice of having a frappuccino wasn't by emotions.
Finish up the red part of Liz crochet rag rug. Next section of rug will be white. Looks like I will have to find more white fabric. Usual sheets from thrift store is best way to get the fabric for crochet rag rug.
Last year we had such issue with flea on all of our furry family members. This year we got handle on things.
Just spray both cat Ziggy and Abner. And first part of June treated Daisy with drops. So far so good.
Coffee is on
My last laptop wouldn't read my camera, that's one of the reasons I got this one.
ReplyDeleteFleas - boy, have we got fleas this year. The winter was just not cold enough ...
This lap top did load photos just fine...at one time.
DeleteOK, so not the card, not the card reader... It's probably the USB port, then. Have you tried using the USB port for other things?
ReplyDeleteMy speakers wqrk fine in all the USB port
DeleteWell at least you know now the card isn't the problem. And you've tried it in all usb ports on the computer, so maybe there is something wrong with all of them or maybe something else has failed in the programming. Like Liz A says, do other things work in your usb ports?
ReplyDeleteI've given up on trying fancy coffees, too many of the flavours upset my digestion.
Does your computer have a card slot where you can insert the card without using a reader? Mine has one, but I never remember where it is until I turn it all off and turn the machine upside down to look for it. I just leave my card in my camera and use the usb cord that connects the camera to the laptop and download my photos that way.
ReplyDeleteFleas, ugh. I hope they stay away.
ReplyDeleteLook like this year we have them under control
DeleteFirst I've ever heard of a "multi-reader". Interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if I heard or not...I just can't get photo up
DeleteI don't use a laptop. I take pics with my phone or tablet and then post from there. Much easier
ReplyDeleteI hope you work it out and it's a cheap fix for you
I just have a flip phone...
DeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteAHHA - I too had thought you had an on-board dedicated SD card slot, as most laptops do (for some years now)... as I recall you had tried other USB ports and that everything else in those ports is still operational, then clearly the multireader itself is at fault - when you say you used the card to print photos, presumably it was through the readers at the store and not with your own multireader - that would be the next thing to check - if they will permit you to use it. ... this is engineering at its trickiest, tracking faults!!! If your camera came with a USB transfer cable, as others have commented, that would be another way to access, but depending on age and model this may require additional software... here's hoping. YAM xx
I'm thinking it now some promblem with drivers...
DeleteAny sort of frappuccino is worth going over the calorie count! Like your blog.
ReplyDeleteI don't do frappuccino all that often.
DeleteWell at least the card is ok! When my last holiday was nearly over I "lost" my card :-(
ReplyDeleteOh I wish it was the card or the reader. Still not sure what the issue is.
DeleteGood that you've finally figured out what was going on with the photos to computer shebang! Re Starbucks: I've not been in one in years but every time I pass by one, I see that the place is packed -- so, obviously, they don't need my patronage!
ReplyDeleteI don't do starbuck all that often
DeleteI love frappuccino's. Oh I do love them so much. But I don't get one very often. I'm diabetic and trying to stay on this low carb diet is slowly killing me. lol
ReplyDeleteWe all have something that we can't resist Dora, for me it's coffee with condensed milk.. so bad 😀

ReplyDeleteSorry you are still having some computer problems.
ReplyDeleteAt least you can type up blog posts without photo's, but it is annoying.
All the best Jan
