Maybe Some Day I Will Figure Out What I Want To Be

I was watching a show on television and telling you need to be happy in your job. I can't honestly say I have always been happy with my jobs. Confession time...I been right down miserable on some jobs. Even drove home in tears. Actual it was so bad I even self medicated my self.
It was simple I had to pay rent or something.
Pick a career that you will be happy. Statement time...how about making a living and paying the bills.
Well I would rather be doing ceramics. I can make more doing in home care. Or least the money would be a lot more stable.
I look at ceramic as hobby cottage line of income. Up and down, but since it in my home the over
head would be cut way back.

Wasn't even sure they still made TANG. One thing I liked is Russian tea. My mom made it. Not sure what happen to her recipes for it.
"Thank all of the Aha(ess) for it and google"\
1 cup of unsweetened instant tea
1 1/2 Cup of Sugar
1/2 cup of lemonade mix
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of clove.
and mix to gather. 1 to 2 tablespoon of russian tea in cup of hot water.

Food and my eating has been under control. Well with a plan slip up. Which I will mention at the beginning of next paragraph.
Breakfast a strip and half of bacon. and piece of french toast. With a tablespoon of both peanut butter and syrup.
Lunch was cold piece of pork rib and left over salad that I got from Safeway deli.
Dinner to night spaghetti using spaghetti squash as the noodles and green salad with a tablespoon of ranch dressing.

Murphy and I went over to his sister faith place for a visit. She was working on some Jewelry that she planning to take down to a local craft show at our fairgrounds.
I told her I want to try to crochet with beads. So she gave me some. I'm clueless even how to even start.
But sometime I'll give it a try.
But I have my crochet dish cloth to finish up.

Murphy and I re arranged our birch pile today. Even the ends up a bit.  Not sure when he will start to cut in firewood length.

Sometime before the heat of summer. There was logging up on snow creek. Which we can see from our front yard.
They start to burn the slash piles.
Above the burning you can see snow.

Coffee is on

  1. Bless you, Peppy, for "keeping it real", as the kids say. Like you, my career goal has always been to find enough work to earn enough money to pay the bills. Whenever there has been enough to buy what I want, over and above what I need, I've considered myself a success. But perhaps those who keep urging others to "find a job that makes you happy" are people who can't find fun in being home petting cats, baking bread or (like Sue) using all the crayons in a really BIG box of crayons to color in their new coloring book. (Yes, I want one for Christmas, please.)

  2. It often depends on the boss, I've had a few jobs I loved going to. Seems like ceramics would be a hard way to make decent money, not that I'm an expert in that field.

  3. I wasn't aware Tang was still available either!

Your recipe for tea looks interesting and I will give it a try.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on growing up.
I like to think of it as adding wisdom to my purpose :)
    Cheers Peppy!

  4. Bill...At this time my clients and there nuts, but they have a heart of gold. I never see my supervisors.
I look at ceramic as a hobby business. Since I have a full completed basement it would be fairly easy to start one, and all the equipment to do ceramic studio
I would continue working for one client and do ceramics. My other choice do it when I'm retired.

  5. 30 years ago i liked my job because we didn't have to work very hard and could drink at lunch but before i retired every second of people's time was monitored and it didn't take long to for them to get rid of people they didn't like. things have definitely got tougher.

  6. I guess I am one of the lucky ones that I really do enjoy my job. I know that's not the case for everyone.
