Glenda Doreen
         McCalmant (September 25,
         1940 - November 15, 2013)
Glenda Doreen McCalmant passed away on November 15, 2013 at
the Boundary Community Hospital after a short battle with
cancer. Memorial services are to be held on Wednesday,
November 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church
in Bonners Ferry, Idaho with a private family inurnment
service at Grand View Cemetery also in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Glenda
was the sixth of eight children born to Leslie Earl Frans
and Elva Sabina Hodgson Frans on Sept. 25, 1940 in Sandpoint
, Idaho. As a young child, she lived on Highland Flats in
Naples, Idaho and attended 1st and 2nd grade there. After a
house fire the family moved to Bonners Ferry where she
attended the Northside School, Valley View School, and
graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1959.

Glenda
met her husband XXX in her later teens and married him on
December 6, 1958. They celebrated almost 55 years of
         marriage together.

During
the first few years of their marriage, they lived in town
and then bought a home in District 2. Through years of hard
work, XXX and Glenda turned an old homestead into a real
home- a source of pride and joy in which each new project
led to the next. It was here at this house that Glenda and
         XXX raised their 4 children.

Even
though Glenda enjoyed being a homemaker, she also worked
outside the home, serving 29 years as a librarian at the
Boundary County Library. Her work at the library always
provided entertaining stories of people she would meet
there. She also developed many lasting friendships with her
co-workers. Even after she retired you could catch her
volunteering, just because she enjoyed being there.

One
of Glenda`s greatest passions was singing. She sang in high
school choir and continued singing in her church choir at
Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member for over 50
years. Another group she sang in was Wild Mountain Thyme
which gave her opportunities for oversea travels and being
under the directorship of renowned musicians such as Bobby
McFerren. She was also a member of the Bonners Ferry
Community Choir, never missing a Christmas performance in 40
years. Additional pursuits included reading, enjoying her
pets, and watching Star Trek with family.

Glenda
had also enjoyed being part of the community theater, doing
parts large or small and especially participating in
musicals. She also shared her voice by singing at many
funerals and weddings. Glenda and XXX also fulfilled their
life-long dream of a trip to England which they shared with
         some family members.

Glenda
is survived by her husband XXX at home, her son XXX of
Bonners Ferry, daughters XXX (XXX) of Post Falls, Id., XXX
(XXX) of Bonners Ferry and XXX (XXX) of Bonners Ferry.

She
also is survived by her treasured grandchildren XXX (XXX),
XXX XXX (XXX), XXX M, XXX, XXX and great-grand daughter XXX.
Other survivors include 2 sisters and 3 brothers and
         numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenda
will be missed greatly by her family and many friends. We
can hardly imagine life without her boisterous laugh and
         worlds-greatest hugs.

Memorials
may be made to given in her memory to the Boundary County
         Library.

Family and friends are

Sherri passed away also. She was
married to my cousin Doyle who she divorce and Doyle passed away
first. Both of them remarried before they passed on. Sherri remarried
Murphy step cousin... Sharon (Sherri) Anne (West) Miller, age 66
passed away peacefully on Friday morning, Nov 29th. Sherri was born
December 8th, 1946 in Spokane, Washington to XXX and Mary Lee West.
She attended primary school in Colbert, WA and Priest River, ID. She
graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1965. Sherri is survived
by her husband, XXX, brothers XXX and XXX, her 3 children, XXX, XXX,
and XXX as well as 2 step children, XXX and XXX. Sherri has 7
grandchildren whom she adored as well as her precious nieces and
nephews.
Sherri worked for many years as a waitress, most notably at
Chic-n-chop Restaurant, as well as the mail carrier for Naples. In
later years she worked for the Boundary County School District as
Study Hall Monitor at the middle school level in addition to various
aide positions, her favorite being at Riverside HS. She loved working
with the kids and watching them progress into fine, young adults.
In her leisure time, Sherri enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking,
horseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, bowling, riding roller
coasters, and anything that involved her grandkids. One of Sherri’s
last projects was to finish two beautiful afghans for individuals at
the Cancer Center in Renton, WA where she they took such good care of
her during her many chemo treatments.
Sherri was a kid at heart! She never missed a chance to ride the
roller coasters at Silverwood with her “kids” from the schools or
her grandkids! She will be remembered for her fun side as well as for
the courage she showed during her long, 12 year battle with cancer.
She was mom to so many more than just the three kids she gave birth
to which she was reminded of in her final weeks with us here in this
world. Her list of friends and family extends beyond any list we can
create, but you all know who you are and how she loved you. We all
have peace in knowing that she is with Jesus waiting for us to join
her.
The memorial service for Sherri, will be held at the Mountain
Springs Church in Bonners Ferry, Id on Saturday, Dec 7th at 2PM.
There will also be a luncheon following at the Free Methodist Church.
Family and friends are invited to sign Sherri’s book at

care of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
