There two shows I like to watch was the The Red Skelton Show and The Lucy Show When I was younger I had a bed time but on Monday which these two shows was on.
I had to have my teeth brushed and my jimmies on. I would wrap up in a blanket and my mom would make me some hot chocolate and stayed up and watch these shows and laugh.
I like to share some lines from “Red Skelton or some of his quotes
Well, I guess you might say that Freddie the Freeloader is a little bit of you, and a little bit of me, a little bit of all of us, you know.
He’s found out what love means. He knows the value of time. He knows that time is a glutton. We say we don’t have time to do this or do that. There’s plenty of time. The trick is to apply it. The greatest disease in the world today is procrastination.
“I only come to life when there are people watching."
Now something for the Lucy fans
"I think knowing what you cannot do is more important than knowing what you can do. In fact, that's good taste."
"I'm happy that I have brought laughter because I have been shown by many the value of it in so many lives, in so many ways."
Fabulous...I loved [and still do] Red Skelton. He was just the best!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy joke is posted; come on over if you can. It's guaranteed to be 'outside the box' this week. "The Yolk's on You!"
I used to love to watch Red Skelton and Lucy … but haven’t seen them in years. I just don’t watch much TV at all these days, but thanks for the laughter and the memories ;--)
ReplyDeleteI’ve got HoTs posts on two of my blogs this week … just because. Say What? and A Donkey's Tale.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh how I enjoyed watching these two video clips, I don't remember ever seeing those episodes before! I loved Red Skelton and Lucille Ball and I remember being allowed to stay up a bit later to watch them as well:-) Just recently I bought a video set of Red Skelton's shows and he still cracks me up!! xox
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I liked the Lucille Ball clip better than the Red Skelton one. Lucy was really clever and funny.
ReplyDeleteAn answer to the age old question of 'What goes Ha Ha Kerplopp?' is up at my livejournal.
