It been said that a national sale tax would hurt the poor. I’ve been reading about the national sale tax ideal. Ok everyone has the ideal of what percentage to charge.
I would say charge 5 percent on everything except food and medicine. This tax money should go as follow 2 ½ % goes to education and 2 ½ % goes to health care I don’t believe get rid of the federal income taxes. Later on I’ll blogg about how I think the federal income taxes should be.
Just think how much taxes aren’t collect via Internet sale.
I found some links and I know Canada has a federal sale tax. Last time I bought anything in British Columbia I paid 14% and part of it stayed in BC and part of it went to their national government.
