ReplyDeleteNice to see you again. I believe those are the Selkirk Mountains behind you, it sure sounds windy there today. I'm a Baby Boomer too and I agree our lives weren't as perfect as some like to say or think. I don't know why so many people find it hard to give themselves credit for things they've done. I make a to-do list and tick things off and if it is something I've been putting off that finally gets done I do a little dance in the kitchen and say Yay me! little things like that. It's nice to look back on a day and be proud of how many things get ticked off the list. I don't have a list right now, but I know what needs doing, I've been putting off vacuuming far too long. I don't bother with bullet journals and calorie counting, I just make sure I have protein with each meal and smaller portions than I used to, also as little sugar as possible, so no sweet treats anymore. I lost the first 5 kilos, about 10 pounds, fairly quickly and I've kept it off, so now it's time to start on the next 5 kilos. We don't get our bills monthly, we get them quarterly, so they're always a surprise to those who don't mark the expected date on their calendar.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good cup of coffee to start a vlog!! Straight petunias to show a perfect home? I find this logic interesting. Nothing wrong with giving yourself more credit, we should all do it more often. Everyday passed is a day achieved, paying bills is another boring but necessary task done. GOOD on you 💪 👍

I don't know anyone that had a perfect childhood. Yours sounds "interesting". I did too, haha. Having the outside perfect to hide the inside chaos is pretty common and funny too. I know so many perfect looking outside dwellings but also too much about the struggles inside.
