Even with news on my son. Tumor and cancer treatment has came a long ways. I'm not sure if you believe in fate or luck.
But my son Bart back a while ended up in the emergency room, and they found his tumor. A lease he never had a seizure or any thing like that...Opinion time...A lease the glass is over half full.
One again Thank you for keeping Bart in your heart.
Today Murphy and I put up the trilles for the garden. Planted some pole beans, and put out a few tomatoes, so they can crawl up the trilles.
Water the garden and the strawberries.
I been drinking KOMBUCHA weekly. At first I didn't know what to think of it. But it grows on you. I'm drink a ginger flavor one.
Still doing fitday and I'm trying to keep my daily calorie intake around 1857. And no eating after seven in the evening.
I got one of the locker hook rug done, except doing the outer edge trim, right now I've been working on. Well when I thread my yarn needles I have to think if I'm coming though on correct angle.
I belive I will cut strips for my next up coming rag rug which will be for me. And Sawyer and Betty locker hook rug. I still need to find some purple fabric.
The other day in the mail I got a KEEP SAKE QUILTING catalog. To me it a wish book and little pricy.
But I'm considering ordering two quilt pattern but I need to find the cost of shipping and such.
I know the balloon one I'm not sure if I'm ready. I see shapes fairly well but this one I just don't see how it goes together. And it part of Drunkard Quilt Pattern. Not sure if this method I will use. I'll look at some other on how to do it

I also like the "Letters From home quilt pattern. Which looks a lot easier to do. But I still need to put on the binding on my quilt I stated.
Looks like a the sun gone down behind the mountain so Dasiy and I are off for a walk.
Coffee is on
Kombucha is a bit of a trend on this side of the world too. I haven't yet gotten in to it, but they say it's good for digestion.
ReplyDeleteI should try making it...
DeleteI love looking at pictures of quilts and I get books on quilting sometimes from the library, but I know I can't do it, I just don't have that patience. Some people are crafty, some people aren't. I'd rather read about something than actually do it.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't work I would have all time to do all these fun things. But then we wouldn't be able to do anything except set home. And stair at walls
DeleteI live reading about all of your projects. I have no talent for that sort of thing.
ReplyDeleteA suggestion for Bart. The American Cancer Society usually has great programs to support patients and their families. Even if he doesn't need anything, but wants to talk to someone who's been through the same thing he's going through, they can help.
Very good news about your son. If you waited for the sun to go down behind a hill, it must mean it is quite warm.
ReplyDeleteIt's been starting to get warm
DeleteHope Bart is recovering well. That "Letters from home" quilt is absolutely stunning. Love it! We do have a few people here making them for sale but they are all mighty expensive.
ReplyDeleteI recall quiltes be made from scapes and I even recall patterns being under a dollar.
DeleteAll the best to your son. Hope he will make a full recovery and stay healthy for a long long time
ReplyDeleteI have a few quilt tops that I need to finish. Life is just so busy now quilts are so nice to snuggle under when it's cold Thanks for the visits.
I still have to put a binding on one
DeleteGood wishes to your son! I like the first pattern.
ReplyDeleteGinger kombucha is my daily addiction, too. It's far less expensive to make your own. Fermentation is my way of life, as I ferment just about everything. Even condiments because the commercial ones have far too much sugar for me. In fact I have a jar of home-made ketchup sitting on my counter right now, about ready to go in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteThis is the traditiional weekend to plant our gardens in this zone. I'm so far behind this year because of my broken hand and it will show in my garden. I always plant pole beans too.
Very good news about your son. I wish him well.
I'm ginger fan also
DeleteKombucha does appear to be very popular.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of both the balloon quilt and the letters from home.
Sending my continued good thoughts and prayers for Bart.
Take care of yourself too.
All the best Jan
There sure a lot cool looking quilts.
DeleteWonderful news concerning you son. We have some tomatoes and strawberries growing in our community garden plot and both are doing well. Can't wait for fresh tomatoes, I love their taste, they actually have flavor not like the ones you get in a supermarket.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment on my blog. Have a wonderful week!

Looks like we'll have quite a few strawberries by the blooms
DeleteBest of luck for Bart.
ReplyDeleteI saw the most beautiful quilt that told a family history today.
I've seen a few story quilt and they had a lot of time in them.
ReplyDeleteThe yarn catalog is like that for me--kind of a wish book.
ReplyDeleteYou have so much more patience than me Dora, I never was very good with a sewing machine 😀 Hope you had a good walk!
