Multifaceted Not Culture

First of all I was going to attempt try to explain my mood. I guess one could call it multifaceted. So I guess I'll give you a brief going on for today.
It was a pretty simple day of running Qunella around her main appointment was with the chiropractic. Then she stop in at the local eye doctor and fill her prescription for her glasses. Then what every else it was pretty routine.

Then I came home and Murphy been putting more fill around the foundation of the house. We took a walk and briefly look over the garden spot. Sort of made minor plans what we want to do in each of them.
Hodgepodge flowerbed actual I only see planting some Hollyhock, not sure if it going to be started indoors or straight in the ground. Faith has some phlox that she need thin out.
Unless I get some free items I won't be doing much to that flower bed.
The Royal Sunshine flowerbed which I have in purple and yellow flowers at this time the only thing is to put in some annuals.
The herb bed. Now I know they're will be dill, fennel, anise, catnip, basil (slam queen) thyme (German Winter), a few vegetable and flowers you can eat.
Then last summer I start anther flower bed below the power line which I want to put in peonies.
Well I think we're just going to add on to the front of our vegetable garden fence for our orchard; 20 feet.
I got a call that our seed order came in.

Not sure if this will all happen or not. This March the Boundary County Democrat is holding there spring pot luck. Let say those who lean to the right tend to get elected.
No one who is left leaning will run for office here. It waste of time and money.
I would like to take a trip to Spokane to see the boys and check out the Unitarian Universal church in Spokane. I can't decided if going the 8-9 (Our Hunger for Beauty — Our Hunger for Justice

Pat McCormick, Guest Speaker

On March 10, our guest speaker in the pulpit will be Pat McCormick. Pat has taught Christian Ethics at Gonzaga for nearly 20 years and speaks extensively on how God calls all believers to make peace, practice justice and tend to creation. His most recent book, “God’s Beauty: A Call to Justice” explores how the beauty of the just community, the neighbor, and the world call us out of ourselves and into community.)

Or going in on the 22-23 You’re Never too Young:
Teenagers Who Made History.
But who knows what going on. Maybe I should check out Easter Service. Food great but I just don't take the entire thing of Jesus dying on cross.
Well who know how March will come out.

Coffee is on.

One Might Need A Wee Bit Of Swig

After work today I had to run a few errands. One of the place I need to stop was our local Post Office in Bonners Ferry.
Living in a small town usual everyone knows everyone and friendly to boot.
My business in post office was quite simple. But the gentlemen who isn't quite all there. It seem know one get up set with Casper.
Everyone in our community could tell you a something about Casper and the odds are it going to be true.
He kept talking to the lady at front window of post office. You see Casper wouldn't have any trouble asking if he could have his stamps for free.
I can see how Casper would be annoying to most people usual not many people are in big rush around here.
Well finely it was my turn to take care of my business. We both simple smiled at each other and I said could you please weigh this box.
I now run the piece I'm going to sell though etsy so I can get a rough ideal what shipping cost will be. Right now I just listed an leprechaun a great piece for up coming Saint Patrick Day.

Across The Street

I'm from a family of mixture of faiths. My Grandmother “Olive” attend the local First Baptist Church on the South Hill.
Across the street is Saint Anne Catholic Church. Which the majority of my husband family is or was.
Now back to my Grandmother Olive. She always had a snide remark about the Catholics. But the strange thing her mother side “Muench”quite a few of them our Catholics. There is a Cardinal Muench which is some kin. I heard stories that he “embezzled” the church.

I been getting in more walking and no eating after dinner. If I eat after dinner it just plain popcorn. When I walk on Tuesday I walk in different area and take a picture.
I've been starting to loose a little weight. So last Tuesday I walk right before my T.O.P.S meeting in that neighborhood and took a picture.

We're only ordering a few seed from a catalog this year. We're going to order with Mariam and he going order out of .territorial seed
Jimmy Nardello Peppers, Stupice Tomatoes, some herbs which are Slam Queen Basil, German Winter Thyme, Cat Nip and Summer Savory.
Also picked out some Talon Onion.
Rest of seeds we're using up from last few years and buying what we need from the local store.

This year big garden project is putting up a orchard fence. But the trouble is we can't decide where to put it.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Pet Portrait-Upper)

At this time we have one dog a blue-healer “Daisy” and two Cats “Ziggy” and “Rosie”. I thought this would be nice portrait of Rosie.
I been watching Downton Abbey on public television. But it made me think of today theme of Upper and lower crust society.
I've never thought one need to be in an upper crust to have nice things. There is a big difference between low income and poverty. The main thing is how one presents them self.

Next Weekend Photo Hunt theme will be Action Shot  and or  Steele

Weekend Photo Hunt (Food-Minisule)

Last Tuesday the 12th I turn 53. So Murphy bought some special food for us to eat. As one can see he picked up a crab and a fudge chocolate cake.

We surly don't live in filthy and Murphette doesn't either. I won't say I'm spotless homemaker. What I gather from Murphette when she was in Bakersfield the people who she knew down there lived in filthy condition. There are cockroaches all over there apartment.
Before she came up she wash; shook out everything and sat traps in car she rented. But some how the little cockroaches hopped in and travel up to North Idaho.
So Murphy and I been cleaning every-little miniscule of crap in the corners , under every nook and cranny.

Next weekend Photo Hunt will be pet portrait  and or upper

Toss Line Of Life Out

Things seem to be sailing along at pretty smooth rate around here. So Murphy and I decide to head to Kootenai river and try our luck at fishing.
I don't know if one of those fishing calendar can predict good fishing or not. So we went to what some consider the ghetto of Bonners Ferry and hike over the dike.
All friendly people.
I don't know when the dike went among the Kootenai but the last big flood was in 1948 or 49. Last Spring it got pretty high and the farming district up North had some flooded.
Not sure what the cement tower is but I would guess it some type of pumping station from way back.

Can't say we picked a good spot for fishing seem our line snag quite a bit. Best way to explain our fishing luck...”we got skunked”... One would be looking up stream toward Montana. General running of Kootani is out of Canada into Montana, swing westward into Idaho and back up North into Canada dumps into the Kootani lake the west arm of the lake goes into the Columbia river.
In Canada it spelled “Kootany”

Notice my in-law bed and breakfast place. It old school house. It been a while since I been on that part of the river and the North-side area sure looks different.

This morning I looking West towards Selkirk mountain range and fog hang in at deep creek.

I listed a little chicken for sale on etsy. I was going to sell an elephant but Murphette want it. Plus there was a minor error to it. I got the bisque at a thrift store partly painted. Who every was doing it did a good job. But someone name was on it and other then that it finished up beautifully.

Coffee is on.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Landscape-Promise)

Both of us look forward to landscaping around the place. At this time there only two spot uncover of snow.
On the south side of our home which is my salad and herb garden.
Also my hodgepodge flower bed is uncovered.
So those our two beds we can landscape first.
The shot is of the hodgepodge flower bed.
I made a promise to my self. That I wouldn't start any major project mainly cleaning until I got this shed/barn gone though. Plus organized.
This is the box of stuff that I'll be donating to thrift store.

Next weekend photo-hunt theme will be food and or minisule

Last summer Murphy went and worked on my Aunt Eve tree farm. Hired him at eight dollar cash; one would think it would be under the table.
Middle of the season they put him as a contract worker. So we could handle the higher percentage of taxes to our income.
To the best of my figuring we will pay some where in range of 35 to 45 percentage tax wise, surprise they even pay 20% of there income in taxes.
So last evening (2/6/13) called up and wanted his social security number. So we could pay in the higher tax rate and they could use us as tax dodge.
My Aunt wonder why people don't want to work. Statement time.....It's Bull Shit like this that employers pull.
Murphy didn't hand over his number.

One thing I have to say not many on my mom side; hold grudges! This should pass.

Out where I live it was dial up for a internet connection. Wi Fi just arrived. I stop in at our local Verizon office to get the scoop on it.
There offering 4G lte at this time the equipment fee is free with a 2 year activation ….10GB “allowance” is $60 a month.
Then they also offer a data only plans and 10 GB is same price....but the equipment fee which I don't quite understand.
But after reading the small print. I have to say I'm not sure if this is such a good deal or not.

Weekend Photo Hunt (daub-looking out of your window)

I very rarely measure when I cook. Confession time....The reason I don't measure I don't like doing dishes. I didn't say I didn't do dishes.
One thing I like to do is put a daub of cool whip on my pudding and mix it together.
I actual had anther picture to post. One thing of living in North Idaho your surround with beauty of nature.
Friday morning I was sitting on the couch having my morning coffee; watching the morning news. Look out our front window among the bare tree branches. The moon was in it half stage but still had powerful luminescence before sitting in the western horizon.

Next weekend photo hunt theme will be Landscape or Promise

Midwinter arrive! It look more like winter then spring around this place. Imbolc  is celebration of mid winter.
But actual there a few sign of spring. The flower bed below our front window is showing bulbs barely poking though the soil. The field which was plowed late last fall; one can see more and more dirt lauds popping up though the snow.
Finely the ice around here on the roads is slowly slipping away.
But in the town of Bonners Ferry one can walk freely and not worried about falling.

Not sure how we're going to celebrate Imbolc. What every I decided it going to be pretty light; nothing big. Sort of thinking purchasing some pistachio nuts and doing up a smoothie for a ground hog celebration.

I got my self a fishing liaison $24.75. I haven't done any fishing for ages. Actual I real haven't done any fishing since I became a mom. I would go fishing with the boys when the were young.
Mid February on the Kootani river the large spawning fish will be running. I believe by then the moon will be dark.

Murphy is finely understanding about in-home care and it's bull shit. Well he sure isn't being so pushy about home care.

I don't thinking I've said anything about Murphette heading out of Bakersfield. She coming back to North Idaho.

One last thing. I know one person who just got high speed internet out in my neck of woods. Then I heard of anther one who also got it.
So I'm looking into it.

Coffee is on.

Today Is Wednesday, April 24, 2024: This Is What Happened.

I give this door up to two years. Murphy and I so, called, put a band-aid on it. It is an off-size door between a linen and an interior d...
