Wednesday Meme Number Seven

Sure hope I got thing organize enough on the three meme or bloghops. And I decide to put the links on bottom of the post, and see how it works.

Now for this week hodge podge questions.

1. Security or freedom? Can you have both? Explain.
Both, when I was young I thought freedom meant that you could do any thing. Well the key word for me regarding "security" and "freedom" is "respect" which we seem to be lacking now in our divide country. Statement time...which is so sad.

2. If you could visit any historical American site what would it be? Why?
All of us played an important part in making America. Our first three words in our preamble "We the people" so if our ancestors been here a long time or short time they played an  important part how our country start and where it is going.
Even if we never read about our ancestor in American history they did play a part in developing our nation.
My second great grand dad Gilman delivered mail in Michigan in 1800's on horse back. I don't know if he picked up or delivered any important letters that might of change the crouse of history.

3. Free as a bird, free reign, be free of, free enterprise, free trip, walk away scot free, free for all...which 'free' phrase can best be applied to your life in recent days or weeks? Explain.
This is hard one I have a lot of freedom...I pretty much do what I please so I would have to use free reign, and important freedom for me would be "free choice", free thought" and "free expression"

4. Something in your frig that's red? Something in your house that's white? Something in your view that's blue?
The other day our neighbors came over and picked our strawberries and she made a pie out of them.
My last part of crochet rag rug will be white.
A crown I'm looking at has some blue ribbon.

5. July 27th is National New Jersey Day. Have you ever visited The Garden State? If so where did you go? Are there diners where you live? Have you tried Taylor Pork Roll? Do you like to play Monopoly? Salt water taffy-yay or nay? How do you feel about shopping at the mall? Springsteen, Sinatra, or Bon Jovi-you have to pick one.
I never been to New Jersey. As for these famous people you have listed I like all three. Let see salt water taffy not sure which is more fun having a pull or eating it.
As for shopping I don't like it at all. If I have to shop I would choice a thrift store.

Raise your hand if you know why these add-on questions are appropriate on National NJ Day.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Getting a little more walking in. Still under my 2nd quarter weight goal, and soon I will be working on my next five pounds.
One of my client got hours increased, so little more money in my pocket.

For my lunch I went down to the ball park across the bridge and ate there.

One thing I had was an avocado

Mange a small walk over to pond. Although I wish I had more time.

The other day I found this over on instgram, and I feel it good advice. We all can play part of making the world much better

Now I have a suggestion a question for hodge podge wednesday...If you were going to host a blog hop what would it be? Explain

Yesterday is my "Y" word. Hubby start to take off our side entrance to our home, yesterday.
It just started to rot. Once we replace this entrance our entry will be fixed.

For my wordless Wednesday photo...What is your thoughts.

  4. A balance between security and freedom are required. Complete freedom for everyone only leads to chaos, while total security leads to total oppression. The laws are there to place the boundaries withing which we enjoy our freedoms. That's the ideal situation. Unfortunately no society is ideal. Thanks for stopping by Driller's Place.

  13. Great post. I agree about the respect. I think if more people respected themselves, there wouldn't be so much hostility towards others they feel are different from them.

  17. 1) Can you have security and freedom? At the core is the freedom from or freedom for culture. In a freedom for culture security is impossible. The reason being the inherent wealth disparity. If people are hungry and angry there is no chance of security. The freedom from culture best typified by Northern Euro socialism brings extreme levels of both security and freedom within the constraints of a culture that places burdens on success. However there is no shortage of wealth in these countries.

    2) Historical site. I am torn between Dealey Plazza and Rosewell. More is to be understood from seeing the distances and angles of the Kennedy shooting so I guess it would win. The thing about Roewell is that the passage of time gives credance to the offical story. It was a classified project that became public. If UFO where real we would have so much video today that their would be no doubt.

    3) Free of worry. There is not much left to worry about all the bad things short of extinction level events have already happened. In this sense the future hold great potential for a better civilization.

    4) I have been to NJ, Hackensack. It felt like ants in a colony. Springsteen dwarfs the other two. Although Sinatra due to the homogenic nature of his time may have been the biggest relative star. Beneath the giant exxon sign that brings this fair city light. Dont forget about the Sopranos.

Questions about shopping raise the specter that the consumer society is a bad thing. In Finland they arguably do not have a consumer society.

    6) Its Canada Day holiday and I am horrified at the damage Donald Trump has done and is going to do to Canada. Like a child picking the wings off an insect just because he can do it, and nobody in his peer group will really be offended.

I am always Thinkingaboot toys CHockey and history.

Also an intermittent voice at Global Love think tank.
