Today Is Sunday, June 22, 2025: This Is What Happened.

A fairly short post. Prices are going up. I never understand why they need a religious state, any where. Also been updating some of my family history.

Coffee is on.

  1. ...Paul Harvey, said economics is quite simple, "the price of wheat go up, the price of bread goes up, the price of wheat goes down, the price of bread goes up!"

  2. I don't understand the religious at all. They should keep their religion to themselves. (Many do. I'm talking about the ones that want to make it state religion.)

  3. Democracies have a clear separation of church and state, do they not?
This principle states that the government must not establish any particular religion, and that individuals should have the freedom to practise any or no religion, without government interference.

  6. Hi Poppy -- first, thanks for coming by. And I'm glancing down your blog -- love your art (next post) and Father's Day pic. And yes, I hear you about the concept of a religious state/country. Prices are intense. I'd love to hear more about your family history journey.

  7. Religious states appear to be a thing around much of the world. They haven’t brought much peace…

  13. Rising prices are always frustrating, and the question about a religious state really makes you stop and think. Family history updates and coffee a good way to ground yourself amidst it all.

  14. Religion should be personal and should very limited in the public place. Once upon a time, when there were very few people and they were all congregated in communities cut off from one another, religion in the public space made sense. Not today.
Religion is a platform for individuals to figure their way around in life. It's a platform on which each individual's faith and beliefs rest.
