Five Minutes

Eating went well so far today. See I said "so far" still have dinner to go though.
Breakfast was our McVandenberg's. Lunch wasn't much yogurt and tapioca pudding. Took Carrie to her appointment at the pain clinic.
On the way back she got a few items at the dollar store. I got nothing.
 The drive back home is shared some crackers with tuna salad spread.
Her husband made some soup, which was good. Had a bowl about 1 cup full, four crackers crunched up. And a few with butter. Might of had few to many.

I had to call in for next month transit mileage. Carrie has two appointment to go to in Sandpoint. After I got done talking with them.
I want to stuff my face with bunch a sweets and down a bottle of wine.
Taking her to a pain clinic for a procedure using narcotics, and they want to know if she was going to drive her self home.
She out of it and it plain to see she wouldn't be safe on the road.
I did have my plan desert of creamy chocolate pie.

Dinner looks like an hamburger, oven fries, and collard greens.

Thought I would have time to drop off the stools for Quincy daughters.
This is there Christmas gift from Murphy and I.
My son Bart in law owns the company that makes them.

I always give the kids some type of Christmas Ornaments. In hope they might have there own collection when the left home.
As I went out and grab 3 ornaments brought them in and but two of them in the bag.
Had to go to the bath room, and couldn't fine the other one. How frustrating is that.
So had to go and get anther one.

This evening our local pagan group, Spairfitera. Will meet and we been going though the tarot cards.

Had plans to post about Murphy colonoscopy. But some time it will get posted.

Word Of Mouth

It use to be if you want to spread the word. Either negative or positive one would go with a someone to local coffee shop, and say something that you need to spread like wild fire.
Now it seem if need to spread the word about something one usual now does by social media.

I bought a few items though WISH for the up coming Granddaughter. I order two pocket diapers. Sure look a lot easier then using safety pins.
and a few other items

I did find the pattern to make pocket diapers. Still need to find if the parents likes this style and what there actual going to do.
I don't want to force my opinion about parenting. So I try to keep my mouth shut.
Now I need to figure and read up on the best fabric to use.

I did order one large item for the baby. I never had a baby swing, and so my Grand kid will have one.

Now for a little bit of current news on the home front. After work I stop by my friend Alice and thank her for the gifts, she got me.
Well fifteen minutes before I showed up found out the church across the street had quite a few custom and border patrol. I did see one custom car there.
Before I got there, stop in at a local thrift store to use there bathroom. Right in front sat a deputy watching.

Well this was our last meeting for year at our local T.O.P.S group, and we did the paper work to send into the national head quarters.
On the average each person lost 3.5 pounds this last year. One of our members start in January just under 210 pounds and her last weigh in was around 135 pounds.
A few others lost between 10 and 15 pounds this year.
For me, I lost 3.5 pounds this year. Although I was up a bit. Holidays could of been a lot worst.
Have to say one piece of candy today. Now I need to get back post what I eat.

It Been A While

Been doing some research to see what is being offer in cloth diapers these days. My daughter in law once mention she was considering using cloth diapers.
In my day they did have disposable diapers. But nothing like pocket ones I been seeing on the net. Mine was white, plus you had the safety pins and plastic pants.
Don't recall what they cost.
But there always been cheaper then disposable. Opinion time..Using cloth diapers are more environmental friendly.

    The main reason I used cloth diapers because it was more economical. But if I went any place with baby I took disposable ones.
Now they offer Eco friendly diapers.

All the gifts are delivered. Still waiting for one more. Kept my sweets in checked today. Weigh in and over the holidays I hope it no more then one pound gain.

Keep To The List

As many of you know I collect giraffes. Want to know something I don't have an giraffe ornament or a armadillo either.
Murphy got me these giraffes for Christmas.
I kept looking under the tree and I was starting to wonder if he forgot me, They was no gift for me. I would be happy if my husband got me a piece of bubble gum.
He took the time for me. That all I ask.
Came out Christmas morning and they were line up under the tree.

 Today I went to town to get a few items, and mail my time slip in. With the holiday and mail as such. My next payday is January 1st which is a holiday. But I have a hunch our pay check will come on Saturday or Monday.
It all spends the same.

Two of the thrift stores was open in Bonners Ferry. I stop in at the one far south end of Bonners Ferry.
Found a few baby items for my up coming grand child.
I even found a few other items. But next month in January like other months. The bills will start to come in.
Plus my internet is also due. I pay every 3 months, $177.
Also I told Bart and Molly I would get them a swing for the new baby. Never had one and oh I want one, when the boys was young.

Went into Safeway to get a few items. Had my list and all the Christmas items was knock down to half price, and found all sort of cool items I could get my up coming Granddaughter next Christmas.
She will be about nine months old.
But I stuck to my list.
During our white elephant gift exchange after noticing some of the "teetotalers" really doesn't have a chance in family gift exchange.
I'm not much of drinker either.
So next year we're bring some alcoholic beverage and I'm doing up anther rag rug.
But this time. I'm going keep my eyes open in the thrift stores more. Buying retail fabric is a little costly, for something that will be placed on the floor.
The colors basically brown, gold, green, and red. They will be other colors tangled about.

 

Kept to my list and my promises to my self. We have plenty of surgery goodies. I figure enough to take both us until Valentine day.
If I limited my self to one piece of sweet a day. Which I have so far I had a slice of pecan pie with a hot butter rum.
Now the test will be at work.

Why Should Christmas Be Perfect

Over the years as people, mostly children becomes older, Christmas change. When Faith and her husband Heinz move up. There was plenty of family to celebrate. Like all families and place things do change.
This year I believe the two younger boys was around ten or so.
They ended up with harmonicas from Murphy and I. Gil seemed to be thrilled about his gift. Actual sounds like he might have natural act for playing it.

 Actual I was a little dis pointed in our family white elephant gift exchange. Not saying all the gift brought was a bottle of booze. Opinion time...a little to much booze. Well I don't want to gripe very much about it. Because I brought two items of booze, one from Murphy and the other one from me. So next Christmas I'm only going buy one item of booze, and something non alcoholic.
As for our gifts we brought home was some glasses, which we didn't need. So they will be re-gifted or place in our yard sale.
The other one we got is a pint of blackberry brandy and some chocolate kisses. Actual I like about a shot glass of brandy in the cold evening months.

Not sure what is about this stage of life. Usual it seem like the Freshman and Sophomore high school students have this snotty attitude they carry about them.
My niece Quincy has one daughter who is Anna a freshman of course. Was told that she was to be home for the family celebration.
But for some reason the family couldn't under stand this, and took her children to Spokane and Anna. Actual if this family actual should of took Anna home before they left to Spokane.
Question time...Does anyone set bounds with there kids these day? I did set basic bounds for both of my sons.

For a holiday eating I believe I'm doing ok. Set a goal for sweet last night, five pieces and only had three.
This afternoon we're going back to Murphy sister place, and having prime rib roast. Actual I was hoping someone would get a beef roast. Well I know it's out of our price range.
No one ever said anything about me collecting a gift bag or a little bit of wrapping paper. But by some looks on there face they thought being possible green is a little nutso.

Bills, Who Doesn't Have A Few Of Them

Question time...What sort of respond is people expecting out of these statement? "I got bills" Like there special or something. And know one else has bills.
Gee maybe I should call my local communications company, and explain to them that "I got bills, such as the water company, and possible with fingers cross they will stop billing me.
Any how between my long distant, cell phone, and land line there the biggest consumer of my money.
Shame on them!
I shouldn't complain. Our utilities for the entire month of December came to $223.02.

Christmas shopping is done. Well I'm still waiting for a gift to show up. But it for some one who is a year younger then me.
Didn't go in hole for Christmas.

Found out my youngest son Bart and his wife Molly isn't coming up. I feel a little sad. It been a while since either one of my sons been home for any holidays.
We had a dumping of snow and more to come. So the roads possible not the greatest to drive on.
I actual wouldn't want them to drive on bad roads
At times, but not all the time.
I wonder if I was horrible mom. Neither one of my sons is hanging on my apron strings or living in our basement.
But the way Idaho politics is I see my son Opinion time...Refuges from North Idaho.

Maybe I did a little better when it comes to eating. Haven't yet had dinner. Looks like we're have Turkey LaKing. Plenty of salt with Kale for a veggie.
Breakfast was left over Pizza. Lunch did up a tuna fish sandwich.
My stomach was slightly bothering me. Murphy and I was in Super One and I had a twenty five cent ice cream cone, chocolate.
Got more water down then I usual do.

A Little More Balance

I didn't fall off the swing. Yesterday it seem to be a roller coaster ride. Morning woke up and my anxiety hit me like a lead something or other.
Then in evening hours I was horrible depress. Although not to stage of crying.
But woke this morning with a better attitude about life in general. But for some reason my calves of my leg was giving me a bit of trouble.

I thought Bart and Molly and with her parents was stopping. They got and we got a dumping of snow.
They were by Noxon Montana and decided to drive home, Spokane Valley that is.
The ideal they're was to drop off the exchange gifts I ordered some Stools for Quincy three daughters.
They were going to mail them.
Not necessary to. Simple reason there not little kids, her daughters are all in High School.
Still not sure if Bart and Molly coming up for Christmas or not. We extended an invitation for her parents.
But I don't expect them to risk driving up on bad roads.
I know a few times my parents wouldn't drive up from Spokane to a family gathering in North Idaho. Because of the roads.

I went over to my friend Alice. Murphy drop me off he was at the doctors. So we visited and it seems like this year we left things out of this Christmas.
I didn't do cards, only to those who was 80 and plus in age.
She didn't have a tree up.
She gave Murphy and I a gift, also Carrie's present.
 I always give her Grandchildren ornaments.
She was doing some baking and I have enough trouble avoiding sweets, didn't bake anything. But if I was going to bake anything it would be date or fig filled cookies.

Finley got the rest of one of our white elephant gift exchange a pound of PISTACHIO and while ago I bought a 4 pack of craft beers from HEART ROCK WINES.
Tomorrow, the 23rd I'm taking Liz into Bonners Ferry to finish some shopping before Christmas. I only got three gifts to get for couple of furry friends.
Liz little fusugly and the neighbor dog who always hanging around. And Carrie and Hershel Sweeties, she will get something to eat.
She not interested in Toys anymore.

Happy First Day Of Winter

This morning an anxiety kicked in. Haven't had one of these attacks for ages. It sure caught me off guard.
Not sure why it even hit. Well I'm a person who likes to plan or lease no what is going on. Well it been snowing for last few days.
So Carrie reschedule her MRI I believe is the 31st hope the roads are better. And the pain clinic they call an reschedule her for the 24th up in the morning, 9:20.

I can't figure what kind of life Carrie is having right now. She on so much pain pills, and I'm afraid she won't wake up sometime.
She in bed. Sure the pills take care of the pain. But what kind of life is being in bed all day, and the pills isn't helping the issue what causing the pain.

As for eating and exercise I've done right down "Crappy" I can't say I totally flunk out. But I can feel the weight I gain back.

Finish up my next year affordable care act insurance. With a subsidize I'm getting my self and plan for $85 a month. With a $5.000 deductible and after I met my deductible, still will cost me 30% and the insurance company will pick up 70%.
I know I won't even come close to making my deductible. I call it my two broken leg insurance. Any major medical. I will end up going bankrupted,
My husband Medicare has better coverage then what I have.

Fairly sure my son Bart and Molly won't be up for Christmas. Not sure if my sister in law Faith got hold of them or not.  But I'm not going to ask if she did. I real appreciate her giving them a call and giving them a personal invite.
So I figure a little let down neither one of my sons will be here for "Christmas" Sawyer will be in Los Angles his wife Betty has to work that day.
Not sure what Bart and Molly will be doing. But I don't expect them to drive up on bad roads. And it looks like it going to be snowing though Christmas.
But I don't like being dis-pointed. It makes me sad and depress.

I Knew I Put It Some Place

I tend to clutter, when it comes to paper. I toss everything in on the kitchen table, including bills. I even have a nice filing system. That if I use I wouldn't as likely loose items.
I was going to be wise and put my check register  in a safe place and remember that safe place. Guess I couldn't recall that safe place. So I ended looking high and low for it.
But I did get my paper clutter pretty much under control.
After all that work I still didn't find my check register.
As I was about ready to get a new one out, and there was my current check register. Went to my on line banking and got it caught up.

 Today I was hoping that Murphy and I could of went over to the BIG HORN LODGE in Montana by Noxon.
My son Bart went over there with his in law.
But the roads change our minds. It been snowing most of the day.
Well Murphy and I went over to his Sister Faith to see if she would have any trouble with me inviting Molly parents.
Bart called and I felt so jumbled how to invite someone to someone else place.
A little later in the day when Murphy and I was back home, Faith called and wonder how to get hold of Molly parents.
So she called them and offered a person invite.
She had her youngest Grandson Gil, Quincy youngest. They were going to decorated Christmas Cookies today.

Some time my Aunt Eve either cracks me up or irradiates me to no end. She called and I was at work want some addresses. Had to talk to Murphy.
Nothing there to crack me up or irradiate me.
Well she explain to Murphy she had an Christian Christmas tree in her yard. I never known the CHRISTMAS TREE was an Christian symbol.  But she had her tree all lighted up to irradiate those damn Muslims.
Number one I'm fairly sure no dam Muslims are living in our area. If they are there complete under ground and wouldn't see her tree.
And if those Muslims is Americanize as the next "Yankee Doodle" they'll put a tree and trim it. Believe me I seen "Jews" put a tree.

 As Murphy and I was driving to our winter celebration out in Paradise Valley. I would point at any house with a Santa or Snowman and say "Devil Worshipers" and explain to Murphy anyone who didn't have an nativity and thought anyone who didn't believe the complete story of the birth of Christ was doomed for all eternity. More later on my thoughts on eternity.
Well Murphy and I got there. And we visited a short time. Had a potluck meat. One lady brought some Chili and add bacon which was real good. we brought a Waldorf salad.
Liz explain the meaning of YULE and that soon the HOLLY AND OAK KING will be coming about.
The days will slow start to getting longer, but won't see much in the morning hours. It complete dark by 4 in the afternoon.
So after we ate the "Yule log" was set up. So all of us could write our well wishes and hopes for the up coming year, 2016.
Place it on the fire and we start our drumming.
The spirits was happy. As we was drumming no wind and the wind chimes was clanking together very lightly.
I just knew the "holiday spirit" was happy with our group.
So Liz little Grandson Sawyer was getting tired so we called it an evening.

Just Good Season

Most years I send out Christmas cards, but for some reason I can't get into it. I couldn't tell you what even my first cards look like. I was sending cards before I knew my husband.
My friend Alice's daughter Katie send out her first card. I need to Thank her for the card. People looks at people different depending on lot of factors.
I wonder how many people even recalls what there first set of Christmas cards even look like.
Me, can't recall what I bought Murphy for Christmas. I know I got him some P'J bottoms which was on sale for $8.00 and there other part of his gift I total don't recall what I got him. I know the cost was about $20.
I will mange to send out some cards, and going to send it to people over 80's

Today I mange to place the cards on the front door. They been set on our kitchen table with other papers, including bills.

Look like Sunday I'm going to force my self to clear off the table and send out cards and pay the bills. Have the money in checking account.

Mange to wrap a few more gifts up and stuck them under the tree.

Add some snow people among my cards, breaks the cards up. Looks a little more festival. 

In a short time our pagan group, SPAIRFITERA will be having there "Yule" amd "Winter" celebration.

Never know how many will show up, Murphy and I will bring a WALDORF SALAD

Since it potluck planning to eat only five items. Had a slice of mince pie. I recall people making it with vension, and I like it. Recall people saying "Yuk" about it. I wasn't a loud to use "Yuk" at the table. 

I was taught manners and be civil at the table.

Nothing Regular Maybe My Bath Room Habits Are

   I did real good not one sweet snack today and even looked at some discounted Candy. I love those discounted items, and some time I even buy them. Not because there good for me, because there on sell.
I finish up the box of hot cereal and no one in our house hold liked it, except me. Add a little raisins and almonds to it.
Lunch was pack, work day. Turkey sandwich and banana.
Dinner anther Turkey sandwich.
Yes, I had two hot buttered rums

Murphy and I mange ok on our little bit of income. He gets $669 a month, before he turn 65 his check was $773 a month. Take about $104 for his Medicare.
Actual we could live on that if nothing went wrong. Like now he could replace the battery in our pick up.
So I take home about $850 on my part time job.
Very few programs or some would call "government hand out" we can actual get. Energy is one we get.
The day I took my paper work for this season of Energy Assistants, which was a good two or three weeks ago. Found out that the funding was cut.
Well today I walk in with Carrie and she got some food from there salvage program. Found out from the lady who runs our local COMMUNITY ACTION CENTER that they got funding for 10 people in our area.
So this round we're first on the list.
As I was doing the paper work. Looked over and notice that there was box of blankets and a couple of space heaters.
So I ask about them. She said they were for people to use who needed them.
I thought of Liz out in "Deep Creek" area.
So when I went to Regis place she was there. And I told her about the space heaters. So I drove her over there. She got a space heater and two nice blankets.
Found out that her P.S.R (Psychosocial Rehabittation Worker)thought it would benefit her if she had in home care giver.
She mention it also to LaWalla.
So LaWalla called me this evening, and both of us could use the extra income.
I also told La Walla about the space heaters and blanket at the Community Action Center.

First time this year our roads was slick. Ended up with about six inches of snow.
Since I was at Community Action Center, which is part of the food bank. I grab a few items some Kale, Oranges, Apples, tangerine, and MINCE PIE. Never had it with Mutton before. But had with deer (venison) or elk.

I get great joy when I can lift someone else up.

Start With and End With

It been kind of those lay back days. As for my eating I have to say I had better and I had worst days. Well I might as well get my spanking over with.
I had a so so Pina colada. It would be much better with crush ice and crush pineapples.
Breakfast consist of two strips of bacon. 2 eggs, and 2 slice of toast.
Lunch grill cheese sandwich, and bowl of tomato soup. Well tried a new type of cheese "white cheddar" couldn't tell any different between white and yellow
Dinner is Turkey. When the different organization was giving out Turkey for the needy in our community.
My friend LaWalla sign up for a Turkey and she totally a healthy nut. So we're eating her Turkey.
Adding Sweet potatoes and salad

For the younger boys I got them "Harmonics" as I'm wrapping them. I'm snickering to my self "Won't the parents love these"
For the kids gifts I always put an ornament on there gift. In hope someone keeps them for there tree when they have there own.
Decking out for holidays can be some what costly. Confession time...quite a bit of my ornaments comes from Thrift stores.

Tried my hand of making gift bags. Didn't put handles on it. But I see I need to tuck the top half corner in differently.
Not sure what kind of creature it is. But Brutus the dog will get it for Christmas. It only cost fifty nine cent at the thrift store. And know it will be tore up in no time.
Planning to make a few more bags.

The top of the tree I like to put my new ornaments. Every year I pick up some different. This year I got a birds in cage, rocking horse, and set of milk jugs in a wire container. 

Since Murphy and I got a grand child coming we need to start getting PICKLE ORNAMENT to hang on the tree, and take off the cap and place a little bit of money in it.

Some Time I Don't Understand Us Humans

Before I finish up choosing and health coverage though YOUR IDAHO HEALTH this year I paid just under $30 a month. Now I'm going to paying $83.79 a month with an $5.500 deducible. With very little coverage.
In the state of Idaho if you can't find coverage less then 8% of your gross income you don't need to apply for health coverage.
The new cost of insurance will be about 9% of my income. But still if I every had a major illness or accident I still at this point in my life. I would end up going bankrupt or be out in the streets.
I'm still for Socialize Medicine. Not looking for a hand out. Confession time...I don't hold much truth or faith in private insurance I believe if I have any major claims I will have to get lawyer to get what is rightful mine.

Before I went to see about insurance. I mange to get in a walk and took my camera. Not sure why I took a photo of the row boat.
Well found out Murphette found a place or seem to. One of the ladies at the clinic took her in. The only thing Murphette is responsible is to pay the power on the place.
Hopeful this works out. Nothing against her. She was wondering if Murphette would pay the electrical.
She isn't a dishonest person but she makes horrible choices and seem not to learn from them. I told her the worst thing one actual could do is enable her.

A liitle much I got two birds one is a Robin and the other a Baltimore Orioles clip on ornaments, has sound to both of them.
Well after hearing the news about what I'll be paying for health coverage. I was a little up set. Going to change our budget a bit for the up coming year.
Usual at the bakery in Super One they have a few samples. Well I grab a little extra then usual, but still kept it in checked.
Breakfast I had some left over ham from T.O.P.S brunch so Murphy made McVandenberg. Lunch was warmed up spaghetti and pears.
Dinner was pork chop a small bake potato.

 Remember I work with crazy people. And some time people attracts drama in there life. or they believe they need it.
Regis and Liz who are inlaws actual have a close relationship. Nothing sexual about it
At times Regis will go and visit his Liz at her place at deep creek.
Her ex boy friend Earl was told to stay complete away and thought he was out of town or even the state.
Monday morning he was peaking in the windows of her cabin. Not sure how long he was peaking in the window.
Well a little later on what I under stand. Regis step out and there stood Earl saying "I'm back" and Regis said "One moment" and step in place and locked the door.
Called the sheriff office and they send out quite a few deputies and dogs looking for him.
They did find him shortly before nine in the morning. and haul him off to jail.

I guess if you got money you sure play by a different set of rules, he posted bail.
If I had to rate there mental illness on scale 1 to 10. Since Regis been in therapy for ages I would put him at 7. Liz at a 8 and the reason for this is stress level she been at. Now for her ex Earl a 10 a total nut case.
Refuse to do anything about his mental illness. Hell he parks his vehicle on train tracks and other crazy crap.
The scary part is that he can actual have a gun.

  Well I did make my first gift bag. I believe I'll put Brutus Carrie and Hershel pooch present in it. His came from a local thrift store.
