Coffee With The Gals

For ages a group of ladies been meeting at UNDER THE SUN My favor coffee and shop in Bonners Ferry.
But somehow I keep forgetting they meet the last Friday every month. At this time Under The Sun is doing cleaning and inventory. So they weren't open
So there was a note saying “Ladies Coffee at Badge Den” and it was hooked with bright orange clothes pins.
It been a while since I been at BADGER DEN Every so often Murphy and I would have there biscuits and gravy.
Coffee was $1.50 there. Most places around here you figure coffee starts at $2.00 a cup.
Let see when I was there. Counting my self they were six lady but I left at 11 so I could get to work. If someone else showed up I wouldn't know about it.
Pretty light conversation we talk about snakes and mice. I know not much of lady topic.

I went to work. Carrie was at her doctor and the value thing in your throat when you eat. That open and close. Isn't working right.
So she needs to see a specialist of some type. They figure the trouble is from gastric by pass surgery. She isn't the only one I know who haven't had trouble from it.
Not sure who picked up Carrie bill. She is on SSD and don't get SSI so it tells me she worked and paid in to the system. I don't know how long she been on disability.
I know anther person Enis who had gastric by pass surgery. Which the state of Washington Medicaid picked up. I don't know if she tried loosing weight by changing her health habits or not.
It been a while since I seen her and at that time. I would have to say her nutrition wasn't top of the line.
Opinion time...It was way for a doctor to line his or her pockets with tax payer money.

Before all this happen. I took my car up to Bear Mechanic up North my engine light came on. They hooked up to there machine. The reading has to do with a value to with emissions. I don't recall the name of the valve but a new one cost $400.
So the guy said it won't hurt to drive it. The only thing it wouldn't pass inspection down in California. So he was going to see if he could find a use one.

I got home first and I couldn't figure what was taking Murphy so long. He stop at our local food bank and ask for a box of food.
We don't need a box food. We're fine, not booming big time. But we're fine. For some reason he thinks the world economy is going to just fall apart.
He did it. Nothing I can do about it.
I been told that when they do a food box up it for two weeks worth of food. Your aloud to get food box three time a year. But they have scavenging or pantry that you can go in weekly and get odds and ends. What people donate or pulled from back because of date has expired.

Tomorrow or I should the following day, starts Letter of the month and here is post from YESTERDAY

Fog Lift and Letters Are Coming

I was wondering if the day would clear off and we could see blue sky in far northern part of Idaho panhandle.
Yesterday morning we had freezing fog. As I was driving home from Sandpoint it had a cleared off and blue skies were all over the place.

More SKY

Question time... Do you remember those old pen pals. That you found in back of magazine. Next month which is February and it is LETTER OF THE MONTH  It simple you mail someone other then bills. For the entire month you sent a card or letter to someone. If you receive a card or letter. You reply back.
I do send cards and letter the old fashion way. It so nice to get a card or letter in the mail box. It makes it worth the walk to the mail box worth wild.

More Done Then Yesterday.

My hair is horrible shape. Limp and no body. I know you men complain about your limp dick. Well I'm complaining about my limp hair.
So it been a while since I did good raise of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR Plus I stink.

Murphy and I worked on cleaning out the basement. We got one corner done or lease not as messy looking.
I had Murphy look at the stuff I had place on the desk.

I just went though this box but still need to go though it again. Found some legal paper for when Bart car got wreak when he was in high school.
One of his brothers friend barrow Bart car and hit a deer. So Bart took him to court to collect. It been a while and he never paid.
I need to get hold of a Bart about the judgment.
I doubt Bart will every collect. But Bart has stubbornness about him. He just might just re-new the judgment because.

I been sending out two cards and letters every day this week. Yesterday I got a letter from Denver.
So I been adding a little more glitz to my letter. I been drawing on paper. These are two my latest one going to Indiana and the other to Colorado.

I haven't yet been out walking. I still fill a bit congested in the bronchial. But I did go on the tread mill today.

I Didn't Slobber On Anyone

First time back to work today. I did all right a little coughing. I just caught them up with lighter house keeping, dishes, wipe the counters, wash the toilet, swept the floor, fold the clothes that was in the dyer.
And had some coffee with them. I made it.
I did a a few errands. One was to stop in at Post Office in Bonners Ferry to pick up a sheet of 20 stamps. I collect stamps with people on them. So I try to purchase stamps with people on them. But of course I'm thrilled when a postage stamp have a a person on it.
So this time I got the “Chef Celebrity” stamps.
Also I picked up and red padded envelope. The only place in Bonners Ferry that cares something like that would be Huckleberry variety store. But they were low on most of there envelope.

But I also mange to go over to Huckleberry and get a few items. My main reason was to get my “Pay it Forward” usual first part of the year on face book ...There something like this....(copy and paste) I'm looking for 5 people to send a little something to at random. At unknown time I will be sending you a little something.
So I picked up a few items for my cousin Edna who lives down by Courd'Alene. I purchase some gray color finger nail polish, stickers for the nails, package banana flavor candy and fishing lure.
Then for my self I got some peppermint hard candy. I was going to put in some cough drops in my pocket but I forgot them. Just in case I start hacking away. Then I got a blank card.

After work I drove up past the three mile junction. Was heading up to the BAMBOO ROOM CRAFTS  I was going to purchase some stickers and paper. But they were close.
Before I went home I did stop in at the Seventh Day Adventist thrift store and got some blank cards. They charge .39¢ each.

Not Up To Swabbing The Deck

A lease I didn't wake up so congested this morning. Had a good breakfast of egg, potatoes, and link sausage.

I don't like to crow to loud there is a 97% chance I'll be back to work this morning. Not coughing all that much.
Even mange to a few small chores. A load of colors, swept and vacuumed although I didn't move anything.

I put away my letters I receive from my pen pals during 2014...a few high lights of other people life...”In April set of my cousin travel to Idaho and South Dakota to meet each other family”...”.A friend of mine talks about purchasing tarps to cover her car “.....”A friend send me a card from Bakersfield at saying the weather been in upper 60's and lower 70's around Thanksgiving”
I stuck my letters in the steamer trunk .Confession time...which needs to be sort and organize.
Haven't done zero with any type of keeping track of money go in or out . As far as budget to live on we have $397 to live on until Friday which is my pay pay.
We do actual have more. If I write a check or use the debt card. Let say I purchase something for $12.50 I take out $13.00. Then for deposit of let say 201.54 goes into the account. I record it as $201 even.
Doing it this way I haven't balanced a check since my late teen or early twenty. Which I only did one time.
I was talking to group of people and told them I only balance one check in my entire life. That was in late 70's or early 80's. One lady ask me if I had religious experience then.
Which I didn't

B.S Not The Usual Meaning

Feeling a lot better. Sunday afternoon I'll be going into Bonners Ferry to catch up my paper work. I still have my coughing spells every so often.
But been doing a little more each time. Dishes, made the bed, and general pick up. I still feel congested in bronchial tubes.
Roast pork, bake potato, and green beans for dinner.

At Time Things Need To Come Into Your Neighborhood

Living in Bonners Ferry area. Things don't move all that much and there is a group of people who wants no change in our community.
I will be the first to confession time...I don't want to loose our small town feel.
At time things need to change. Our young people are leaving to work other places. I don't know anyone comon labor in our community even makes $15 an hour.

People are shocked around here I make $12 an hour.

WINCO is looking to put in a new store. I think either Bonners Ferry or Sandpoint would be good location. Although Sandpoint has a larger population base.
One needs to consider the money from Montana. I don't see any at all in Montana. Which would bring people from TROY and LIBBY
Also there the Canadians who comes down from CRESTON and CRANBROOK to shop. There no WinCo in Canada.

At different time new business tried to come in and for different reason never made to our local community.
I never understood this. JOHN BIRCH didn't want any federal grant money to improve our community . I thought there main thing was to stop communism.
And the opposite of communism is capitalism.
At one time in our past, local John Birch put a stop for letting no new business into our area.

At different time at different local events I've heard the John Birch use term "SOCIALISM"quite freely.

Although I'm not sure how WinCo is funded when coming into a new communtiy. But here is a link to there FACEBOOK   page and were the heart is put in your town if you want a WinCo.

Minor Yuk

I got the minor case of the crud. I believe I rest up I should be ok. The flu is going around are area. But I believe I got a case of the bronchitis. Although I had a lot worst before.
So plenty of hot water. Statement time...I'm not a fan of cold water.

Today I got 3 letters in mail today from pen pal. Just think three letters one from Belleville Michigan, Hogoton Kansas, and Woodland California.

I took my camera and was going to do a short walk on the southside of Bonners Ferry. But I forgot to put in media card.
Some days are just like that.

I went to my T.O.P.S meeting and weigh in. Only one person in our group didn't loose weight. I lost one pound.

Thinking of Statement Using Six Vowels.

Before I went to work. I stop in at Super One to purchase something for our local food drive. For Human Right Day they park bus at each of our grocery store here in Bonners Ferry. There is three grocery stores in our town.
Well the goal is to fill up the three buses of food. It will be donate to our local food bank. Statement time...I find it sad that people have to use a food bank and we're one of the richest country in world.

So I picked a few items and gave them $3.00 cash.

A little after 12:30 in afternoon I stop in at Carrie, her and I was heading to Sandpoint to see her doctor for pain.
Usual this doctor is right on time. I figure she would have been in 10 to 20 minutes to have her meds up dated.
She was in for little over and hour. To find out they poke about. They are going to give her a shot toward the end of the month.

After her appointment we stop in three stores. Her in two and me in one of them. She purchase her husband Hershel a pipe. She want some hard candy which is at the dollar store, right next to the pipe place.
I ran into Yokes market to get a few items. They had tomatoes on sale for .98¢ a pound. I picked up three of them.

Tuesday I will be going to my weigh in at T.O.P.S and hope they got quite a bit of food in all three buses.

To Much Change Doesn't Go Over

Our local human right community which is between 3 to 5 members. Once a year we put an program to celebrate and promote Human rights.
So we tried something different this year. To put on an "Art Show" in year pass we had more of structure program.
The only thing we carried over from celebration from years past was the entertainment. There were two different pairs of people singing and playing there music instruments.
But then usual we have some essay done be the local school children. Which are read by them and a quest speaker.
This year the essay wasn't read or no quest speaker. This year we did a more laid back show. Actual there was quite a few artist who came and display there pieces.
Statement...our community isn't progress and any thing new or changes. People seem not to be very excepting of them.
what should been done is have the first hour and open house let people look and visit. Then the last hour have the essay read and guest speaker. Which would be more formal showing.
Maybe flip side would of been better. Formal show and then a lay back art show. Who know I just need to remember that our community isn't all that progressive.

Now I Need to Fill In the Blanks.

The only thing I need to do on South end of Bonners Ferry is to “Fill in the Blanks” . If your wondering what I mean.
I walked all the city street that is connected with highway 95. But there a few street that doesn't hook up directional with the highway.

Which I hope to soon finish up.

Yesterday I walk though the upper class trailer park. There right on the city line. Most of the trailer are newer double wides. Plus all of them have nice big yards. No junky place there. I notice 2 place are listed for sale.
There were some empty places. Not sure but with snow on ground you can see if a vehicle is coming and going.
With no sale or rent sign my first thought would be. “There snow birds” and headed south.

One thing they do have a nice view of the kootenai valley. Looking at Selkirk mountain range.

I haven't yet figure out but according to my pedometer. I took 5,455 steps which is not quite two and half mile. This site will let you HOW MANY STEPS EQUAL A MILE I don't wear my pedometer all the time.
But also I'm trying to learn how to use MAP PEDOMETER   but having trouble. I might try to find and easier one. Or give up on entirely.
Well if I walk two and half miles from my home. I would be out on highway 95 and I would guess almost down the bottom of what people call Peterson Hill.

Photo Hunt (Shelter)

There been unjust prejudices on how residents are picked for the Jenni Lane apartments here in BONNERS FERRY Idaho.
The Jenni Lane apartments are subsidize though HUD These are for low income families. That they pay a third of there income for there rent. Also there is deduction per head for each member of a household. In the rent which also includes utilities.
There some other small requirement to be able to get in these apt. Like you can't be a threat or danger to any human. Your income resource can't be over 2,000 and your first vehicle doesn't account against the resource limit The reason for this is “A person needs one decent rig to get to the place of employment” but a second rig counts against your resource.
But the Jenni Lane has refuse people occupancy do to having out standing debt. My friend LaWalla couldn't get in there because she has out standing medical bills.
Then my other friend Murphette couldn't be come a resident there. She also had a out standing loan and payments was up to date on.
As soon as both people had there back bills free and clear then they could move into the Jenni Lane apartments.
I have heard other cases about people who income was low enough and wasn't a threat to others. They claim they couldn't get into Jenni Lane to do “money troubles” Opinion time...In plain term this a form of prejudices for SHELTER for the low income and poor people

Next week theme for photo hunt will be FAN

Out On Far End Of Bonners Ferry.

The weather actual was pretty good. Which I thought it would be a good day to try to finish walking on the south end of Bonners Ferry.
I believe across the high way 95 is about two shorter street in the city of Bonners Ferry. All last year I walk most all the street on south end of Bonners Ferry.
There a few side ones that I didn't get to. But still plan to at a later date.

Confession time..I almost forgot about Sky Watch. I was hoping for more specular clouds. It was an over cast all day. A lease it wasn't snowing or raining on my walk. I don't like slush. I hope some of you can take gander at some other SKY pictures

Yesterday I ate vegetarian all day. No meat! If your wondering if we're coming a full time vegetarian. Simple way of putting it “No”
But personal I would like to do it one or two days a week.
I only seen one person who looked health as vegetation. Who is my friend LaWalla. Most of them I've seen are heavier then me and their flesh tone tend to be grayish.
Not healthy looking at all.
Us as human we have  Incisors, canines, premolars, molars, and Third molars. Take a look at our TEETH So in entire picture of the world we are OMNIVORE But I'm not sure what is the best for our digestion system. For the size we are, we have a long digestion system.
There most be a reason for this.
Well last night dinner I did up some lentils and add veggies like onion, celery, can of tomatoes, carrots grate it that is, hot and sweet peppers. Oh I almost forgot the slice zucchini.
But for a little extra protein I cooked an egg in it. For carb there was rice in it.
I tried to have a middle eastern flair so for seasoning Cayenne pepper, turmeric, cardamon, and salt which I need to watch. I tend to hold water.

Little Bit With Life.

Life haven't been to unjust with us. Usual it never is. Murphy has general cold. It will run it course. This week I got two package.
I got a pedometer called  GO TIME but I'm having trouble sitting it back to zero. According to BE HEALTHY NOW 2,000 step is about a mile.
What I would like to find a map to keep track of were I've walked. I know the same site I got my “go time” has one for route 66.
I just found the google MAP had one for people using Pedometer. But haven't had a chance to use it. But I been putting my steps on the calendar in kitchen. I just wear my pedometer when I go out for a walk or one tread mill.

I got box from CURRENT I order some Christmas card for next year. Two roll of wrapping paper at .99¢ each. One of the roll I can use other then Christmas.
Some curling ribbon and snow man magnets. Which I thought of putting up among the cards I get. I tape the cards we receive on front door and it is metal. Last little bit of wrapping paper I got was snowmen on it.
Current is big company and I usual ask if they can toss in something for free. I had company either toss in something or take a little bit off.
Current didn't. Still was under $20.

Murphy went into the doctor to get some CIALIS The doctor was all worried that he snick into town. By telling me a lie. Murphy isn't that stupid to lie to me.
Well he got a coupon for 3 free ones, 20 mg and doctor told him to cut it in half. The doctor told him to shop around if he want or need to continue on them. Prices will very from place to place.
I don't see him using them right off he was a cold.
He gain 5 pounds of fat during the holidays. His middle is showing it. For me I don't put it around the middle much it goes on my rump, thighs, and legs.

See my life is pretty uneventful and I rather keep it that way.

Numbers Didn't Move

Usual in the evening I type out for my blog post and have it come up at four in the morning my time, pacific time that is.
So as I'm typing this post out I'm watching HOGAN HERO

Well I took Carrie out to the Hope House out by Moyie Springs. It's a place they give our free items. Mostly clothing. She got a few items.
This is way it work first time your aloud five complete set of clothing. Then I believe you can get two additional set of clothing each month.
Then you can also get 3 items such as paper towel, shampoo, dish soap, tooth brush, toilet paper, and I believe you get the ideal.
She got 2 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels. And of course some clothing sets.

I weight in at our local T.O.P.S meeting and the scale didn't move. So I maintain.

Some Things In Life I do Care

Slip and went off of my blogging. Some how I got confuse on what day of the week it was. So it looks like I won't be blogging every day for entire year.
In life I figure if something goes 80% or better. It been smooth sailing in life.
First thing yesterday morning I took my client Carrie over to our local hospital, here in Bonners Ferry to have an X-Ray on her upper digestion system.
Food seam to get stuck in her throat. So they gave her some stuff to drink and took picture as it went down.
Well there is blockage and it look like it due to her GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY I've known her and one other person who had. Later on they have trouble from it.
The other person was internal bleeding. Plus what I've seen one needs to have quite bit of discipline to following a diet to get enough nutrition.
Confession time...I'm over weight but not enough to have the surgery and it actual scares me. ...Opinion time...I know one of these people that state of Washington picked up the tab and it is way to doctor to line his pocket with tax payer money.
Instead of the state paying for surgery. The states would be better off paying for a weight lost program teaching them to have better all around health and be accountable.

I had chance to try a new way of making STROGANOFF Well if your into trivia it was name after PAUL STROGANOV a Russian diplomat during the 19th century.
After work I stop in at Safeway and got a few items. I try not use the self check out stand. I believe it way for company to cut back on labor cost.
I always check out the discount bins I got four items this time around. Then my Safeway card save me $1.75.
Safeway is the only store here that uses cards.
My new Go TIME Pedometer came today. So I tried it and it seem to be right on. I have tried different ones and when you rode in a vehicle hit any type of bump it would show you been out walking.
I put on snow grips on my shoes and walk to the second power pole, so I took 1,452 steps.
Well mid-morning I have my weigh in at T.O.P.S and haven't weight in for last two weeks. My goal was to loose ¾ of pound a week. So keeping with my goal I should lost 1 and ½ pounds. Which would put me at 219.25.

I Sure Didn't fly out Spokane International Airport.

Murphy and I was heading down to Medford Oregon to visit with Sawyer and our daughter in law Betty.
See we can fly on horizon air lines if one of them is on the air plane. Or we pay 10%. The reason is Betty is a fight attend for Horizon which is some how connect with Alaskan airlines.
But we do fly stand by.
Sawyer was ready to fly up and pick up us up he was on plane and a paying customer should up. So he had to get off.
Then the following morning the airport was fog in. So who every had booked and paid earlier flights got rolled over and they get priority before the stand by.

Well I'll try later down the road.
Now I'm slowly going though some boxes in our basement. I stuck it on the desk so Murphy could look and see if he want to keep any thing.
I don't see why or what would we every do with the stuff.
When we was in Spokane we had a chance to visit a few people down there. Like my mother in law, Faith who I drove around, Our Nephew Sam and his wife Amy.
Phyllis my mother in law isn't happy there. She misses Bonners Ferry. But if her daughter Nakaya wasn't an issue she could move back here.
Her daughter took advantage of her in so many ways. Her last stunt she tried to force her mom to sign some paper that she wasn't able to take care of her own affairs. Even before that she tried to get her mom to take something like mortgage. Those things that let senior stay in there own place. These haven't been her only game she tried.
Opinion time...Phyllis is terrorized of her daughter.
Faith seem to be doing ok and is adjusting quite well to her new place. She been going to her exercise class for balance.
Also went to a I guess it was a town hall meeting. I guess her only complaint there isn't much liberal there so she desires conversation on current happenings.
Last stop was at Sam and Amy. Instead of going to there home. We went to there place of business they got on growing marijuana in the state of Washington.
But there some issues with it. Like pricing it still cheaper to get from the black market. I believe it start at $15 a gram and goes on up.
We stayed a Bart and Dianne slept on there comfy couch.

Semi Covered

Since I can recall there been a DAIRY DEPOT and Dubbs on the west end of Sandpoint heading toward Priest River.
Well yesterday I took my client Carrie to her doctor as she was seeing her doctor. I went for a walk around the block. Strange or not I was walking down Michigan a short street, my dad came from Michigan. The town of Jackson and he grew up around POKAGON Then I saw across the highway was the Dairy Depot. The building style change over time. But even when I was a kid when I came up to North Idaho from Spokane. We stop in at the Dairy Depot way back then.
As one can see it the SKY wasn't clear in North Idaho.

One thing about walking in that part of Sandpoint that one dealt with snow mounts which was made with snow equipment.
Then of the sloop on roads.
But that area I was walking in seem to be small commercial area with a few homes mixed about.
As she was in having her procedure or seeing her doctor. I usual take walk, possible run errands, read, write letter to my pen pals, and or crochet.
Well today I wrote to two of my pen pal when in Kentucky and the other in Germany. I had a little time to read my book I got from Library in Bonners Ferry. A LANTERN IN HER HAND which is about pioneer family from DUBUQUE IOWA which my mom maternal grandmother (Great Grandmother) also came from. Her name was Anna Munch and born the same day as President Lincoln last birthday.
These couple is just starting there new life right after the civil war.
Heading to the southeast corner of NEBRASKA  and the state was just came part of the union. Still talking about having the state capital call Lincoln after the slain President.
My father in law came from this part of the state.
The story moves at a nice pace. When I'm reading a story this is important to me.

Odd thing my mom came from Nebraska but the other corner of the state. I use to ask her if she was born in a cover wagon.

Never Mind The Hamilton.

I find joy giving a person a hand up. So for an entire year, every year I would put ten spot in envelope and send it a random address. Sorry I don't recall the year. It doesn't matter.
So I gave out $500 or so. I'm clueless what any of these people did with there gift. My reasoning was simple. To put a simple smile on there face.

This year I'll be doing something different and hope for same result. A simple smile. This year my local charities will be the “Hope House” which is a place they give mainly out free clothing to the needy. But they give out other items.
Not much in food line. I understand they can make up a bag of food for two days for a family. There main thing is non food. Such as toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, toothpaste, brushes and etc.
So today I took out some band aids and donate.
I bought seven boxes. Plus I got four and plan to keep them to give to put in my children stockings for Holidays.
Yes I'm getting an early start on “Christmas”
Like my Christmas gift they were also bought at local mom and pop business.

I'm going though the alphabet,  this pay period was letter “B” and I bought Band-aids. Which went to the “Hope House” Next pay period I'm thinking of getting either some coffee and or cleanser, taking it to our local food bank. They don't seem to have much support.
So every month I'll be take a little something to the Hope House or local food bank.

Now could everyone do me a favor and vote for my son and his wife dog “Boo”. She is in contest trying to get on cover of Modern Dog Magazine. Please vote for BOO

It Not Going To Put a Cramp In My Life Style.

During the night of Jan 5th I woke to new snow, we got about 12 inches. We had about 9 inches before that.
So everything is slow.
The mail using runs around noon here. Murphy shovel out path ways around the place. After work I shovel out our mailbox.

Not expecting anything important in mail. Every so often the mail people will stick a note in everyone box. Telling what is your responsibility with your box.
One thing I haven't yet figure out how our county, Boundary. Manage there plowing. I live on a dead end road. Not the main county drag.
This morning right off they plowed out our part of county road. I drove out this morning heading to work.
When I got pass my Aunt Eve place taking a right heading toward the highway. Nothing was done the last part of the road.
The only thing I can figure the person who was driving the snow plow didn't like someone on that road.
The people I work for is from Kentucky. Live a lot place though out United States. I didn't expect them to remove any snow. Well they did moved a spot for there little dog to do there business.
So I shovel out around there mini van and a path out to there trash can.

No Need To the Stress Brain.

I knew they would be a question, that I would have enough light to video tape in our basement. I thought I would take around a light with me. So I tried two different flashlights. Neither one had the results I needed.
So I thought of getting the a trouble light will give me enough light. But it in the shop/garage. Plus it doesn't have bulb. I know that doesn't sound bad. But guess what we don't have any bulbs in house. I already put on my list of items to get.
'm considering putting in some tracking lights. Although I'm not sure which type I need. I mainly need light so people can see the project there working on. Nothing fancy or costly.
I got this wall side done. Either items went to the trash or thrift store. Actual they weren't much that will be going in a yard sale. But I will go back though it at a later date.
Personal I would like to put the desk in a yard sale. My parents got this desk when I was in Junior High School. But Murphy thinks we should keep it. Well if we keep it. It not staying there. Simple because I want to shift the wood pile there.
It the desk stay I have two places it can go.

Now it time to go across the way and sort though the boxes.
