I Don't Mind

Next month I'll be posting the weather report. But with the bi-polar weather we been having. Our garden planting been force into being bi-polar also
Out of kindness I help Murphette out. Took her daughter Annie up to the laundry mat. Then ran Murphette around.
Her daughter Edna and step son Abel is graduating from high school.
For a high school graduate I give a card with $7.00 and dish towel. Once they leave the nest they'll have plenty of dishes to do.
Now Murphette picked up a grooming kit for her children. Couple of decks of cards for Abel birthday.
Which was bought at Huckleberry variety store.
Then we had couple of stop also one was Safeway and Super One to grab food, diapers, and pkg of camel lights....Statement time...sure glad I never took up smoking cigarettes. I believe the cost was something like $5.25 a pack.
Stop in at zip a local burger joint and got fish chip special (buy one and get one free) then we went over to liberty gas station and got some cigarettes tube and tobacco.

It seem lately we been hit with odd things that one should or less want to give some type of gift. Like above the two high school graduation.
Then my son Bart friend Loren is getting marry in mid June. My son is the best man. We did get an invite but we're not going. To much going out to take a trip over to Astoria Oregon.
So I send them a card and twenty bucks.
Loren in the Navy and sometime first part of next year he is being deployed to Japan.

Tomorrow which will be Saturday I'll be attending Betty bridal shower. I got her a pie pan and add a couple of recipes with the card. One I haven't made for a while a "Summer Pie"
Then this one. Sawyer likes lemon bars.
LEMON BARS
for the crust
1 ½ cups of sifted all- purpose flour
½ cup sifted confectioners sugar
¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter or margarine, at room temperature
For the filling
2 cups granulated sugar
¼ cup sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 large eggs
1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoon lemon rind
2 tablespoon sifted confection sugar

  1. To make the crust: Preheat the oven to 350 ° F and butter a 13”X 9”X 2” baking pan. In a medium sized bowl, mix flour with the confection sugar, then work in the butter with your fingers until a dough forms. Press in the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes
  2. Meanwhile, make a the filling: Onto a piece of wax paper, sift the granulated sugar, flour, and baking powder. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the eggs until thick, then blend in the sugar mixture, the lemon juice, and ind. Spread over the hot crust and immediately return to the oven. Bake 25 minutes or longer or until it sets
  3. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then dust with the 2 tablespoon of confectioners sugar and cut into 2 X 1 ½ inch bars. With a spatula, transfer to racks to cool. Store the cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week; do not freeze. Make 3 dozen cookies.
  4. Prep time 20 minutes....Cooking time 35 minutes...Cooling time 10 minutes

Before I go to the bridal shower which is two in afternoon I'm stopping over at Cyrus and Finny. She said she would run me over to Fred Myers, to get a gift. The following Saturday I'm invited to a baby shower. My friend Alice daughter Nicole is expecting not sure of the due date but she is showing.
The only thing I know they do have a name picked out, Ida.
Finny would like me go and visit her mom Edith who has some type of dementia. Not so bad that she would know who I am.

The garden is coming a long. We had cold snap during the month of May. Today Murphy planted carrots, Swiss Chard and Bee Balm.
Add larger steaks to our tomatoes.
There some more planting. Still need to put in peppers, corn, beets, all the vine type of crops.
I would guess when I get back we should start having radishes.
A few days ago I bought my self a columbine, yellow in color. I've tried quite a few times to get going and some how it dies on me.
Anther one I have trouble keeping it a live is primroses.
For flowers mainly I want to work on my “good will” flower bed. The other flower bed are getting fill up nicely.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Copper- Texture)

I don't see my self doing next weekend photo hunt. Theme for June 1st hunt is Quaggy and or Red
I'll be attending a bridal shower for Betty who will be marring my son Sawyer in July. I feel slightly bad since I suggest the word “Quaggy” for a theme.
I know all of you would understand that I might not play next time around.

I haven't done much with texture when it comes to ceramics, there all sort of application one can apply doing ceramics.
This one here I took an acyclic metallic copper paint.
Under the acyclic is paper towel...place paper against bisque not neatly unto the piece and start to apply acrylic over paper, letting the paper to become wrinkled and creased .
I find that metallic or pearl acrylics work the best. Each kind of paper (tissue, newspapers, brown sacks, typing paper and etc) will give it a different texture and look.

Wonder why some people lift there hands up during fundamentalist evangelical (evil-genitality)
church service. Are they thinking “Ah Ha” all mighty is going to lift them up into heaven...Confession time..A famous preacher said the world was going to end. So I went out side lift my hands to sky to see what was going to happen..”Nothing happen”

Next weekend photo hunt theme is Copper  and or Special texture

Weekend Photo Hunt (lazy-unusual perspective)

Some member on my mother side, including my own mother looks at reading as a form of laziness. Which brings on poverty.
What I understand their mother my grandma read a lot and things didn't get done like they should of. Even my husband has some of the same attitude as my mom did about reading, his mom read a lot also.
I do read but I like a variety of activities. I don't want to get any part of my life in a big rut. Or be some narrow minded that I won't learn.
Right now I'm reading Pearl Buck novel “The Good Earth”
Confession time...I shouldn't be talking to loud...I could spend less time on the computer...Statement time...I wish they had a better internet connection out in the boonies.
When out looking for firewood one want to look for dead trees. They are times when one will think they spot a dead tree, stand among the living. They think the tree is dead and they walk up the hill side and can't fine the tree that they saw from the road. Then they find it and look it over and make sure it dead.
Start up the chain saw go though all the work of getting it out. Then notice it's only 98.3% dead. Which really doesn't happen all that often. Now there been a lot of unusual perspective out cutting fire wood.
We never went up check out these trees to see if they were good and dead.

Next weekend photo hunt themes are glass  and or show hands

It Sure Won't Hurt Any Thing.

Our youngest son Bart is now renting a studio apartment from his cousin Sam and Amy. He had to give back his dog Carson to the shelter. Carson was being to hard on the cat..sort of relationship like a mouse and cat.
I find it sad, but I understand the reason he gave him back to shelter.

Last few day I been fighting with depression and anxiety. I've been diagnose with minor epistemic depression and anxiety. Not sure what actual brought it on. I could speculate for a very long time. It won't do any good.
Sooner or later my mood will change.

The other day Murphy and I took a drive up Myrtle creek just to sort of get out of the place. Ended up grabbing a little bit of wood.
What we would like to fine is some moral but it's been dry.

I over heard a conversation at a building supply store. About painting rocks red and putting them in the strawberry patch before the season beings.
I guess the theory is that the bird for while will show up and think the red rock are berries. In there bird language will single the other one to stay away.
Not sure if it will work or not. I know birds aren't color blind.

Seem like everyone needs to fence in there garden to keep the deer out. But we need a new spot to plant the potatoes.
We wonder what we were going to do to keep the deer out. They adapted very well as one needs change there ideal to keep them away.
So I got some those wind things that one sticks in the ground. I know by now they don't keep anything away but I like them.
So Murphy nail a vacuum cleaner bag to the power line pole in our yard. So far no deer foot print or poop around the garden.
If any of you out in blog land isn't a gardener the kitty cat and the puppy dog fur is a deterrent to keep the deer away.

The other day Murphy and I went to Sandpoint to get some things we need for the place. But before I got to Wal mart I went into Penny's. Murphy had to exchange a pair of shoes that didn't fit right.
But I want to pick up pair of pillow cases to embroidery on. I couldn't fine anything for under $20. I guess I'm really out step with the times.
I've need pads for my wet jet. Now I'm sorry I bought them. Anther idem that went up in price. But while ago I saw you can take cloth diapers, cut or fold them down to fit and sew some Velcro but I couldn't fine any cloth diapers. Instead I use some old ragbag towels and sewed them up to fit. The only thing now I need to get is Velcro.
This way once either Murphy or I mop the floor the rag can be put in the washed and reused. The mop pads for the wet jet is about .50¢ each now.

I”ll leave everything as it is but it so strange that I feel a little blue.

Editor Note...I heard the shelter found a home for Carson....such a friendly dog

Weekend End Photo Hunt (Upside Down-Under)

Either way you look at something right side up or up side down...It still looks good either way

I went on line to our local job service in Boundary County. Out of 13 jobs I looked at 9 of them paid under $10.00 an hour. 4 of them paid over $10.00 an hour. Lot of those jobs under $10.00 an hour were under 30 hours a week. The highest paid on list was a medical technologist at $27.10 which one would need a bachelors. Then the lowest paid listing is a waiter at $3.65 an hour for 25 hours a week...The average pay would be $11.60 an hour. Some may say that being under paid for labor.

Next weekend photo hunt will be lazy  and or unusual perspective

Weather Report for April 2013 and Other Reports

April 2013...Warmest day was on the 26th at 74.6 (23.6)... Coldest day was on the 14th at 21.7(-5.7)...Average high for April was 57.4 (14.1)...Average low for April 31.8 (-0.1)...Rain 2.50 (6.3)...planted kenabec red potatoes.

Toward end of each month I like to go and take trip in blog world; visit some different blogs..In April I went and visit these blog.

Some how I must had a brief encounter with old age and forgot to get the url of the two other blogs I visit.

Like most month the bills get paid. This month we had to pay our rig insurance. Which covers three rigs, $397.00 but I'll get back a $100 from Bart.
The deal was as long as the boys were in college until age of 24 we would pick up the tab. Bart isn't going to school.
But he got fifty bucks knock off...we're buy a smaller propane barbeque for $30. Also for his birthday which was the 25th I was going to send him $20.
All in all we knocked off $50 of what he owed us.
So our next rig insurance will be due in October.

I know I'm a little late for international pagan coming out day I feel I can't freely express my spiritual beliefs. I have often and on my little blog.
But I'm real careful what I say around others.
Question time... how one does one come out closet of there faith... that they don't evangelist (evil geniality) their faith on others...Or listen to how there the only ones going to be in heaven who been born again in blood of Jesus.
Not sure if there coven or a place were pagan can practice there beliefs in my area. I know there some in the Courd' Alene, about 75 miles, and Spokane about 100 miles.
