Weekend Photo Hunt (Coffee or Tea-Zoom)

Those who read my blog might figure out I'm a big coffee drinker. At the end of each posting I end it with “coffee is on”

Well I also like a cup of hot tea and one of my favor is “Earl Grey”

Right now Randy been zooming on his tractor in the field across the street. Not sure if he is planting or fertilizing.

One can see he is sure stirring up dust.

Ho Hum An A Soft Tune.

Nothing or hardly every thing happen that draws in “drama” in our life. No this posting isn't on any type of drama.

Generally speaking my life is pretty dam “uneventful”

 

I been getting out walking a little more. Down below from us they did some logging on the edge of a forest. Notice a faller bunchier machine is sitting down under BPA power line. If your wonder what a faller bunchier is...It's a piece of machine that does four things..Fall a tree, limbs one, cut logs into the proper length, and stacks them.

An it only takes one operator to run the equipment. 

 

I have to say I did pretty good in what I've been eating but Saturday my hubby and I went on sweet binge. Oh things happen.

I been working on walking to a church out to my area. I'm now at the seventh power line pole. Every time I go and walk in my neighborhood, I go up to the next pole.

Roughly round trip I'm doing about mile of walking. 

 

It still pretty snippy when it comes to the weather. Not anything big is in bloom in my flowerbeds. I have some grape hyacinth blooming now, about 3 inches tall.

I also got some other small hyacinth which are yellow. Same height but there called banana.

Move and transplanted two lavender bushes.

We haven't put anything out this season. But we started a few more items like yellow pear tomatoes and asian sweet peppers.

Bought are seed potatoes. Look like we're going to grow red ones only, minnesota and kennbec.

Did get last shelf clean out of the third roll in the barn/shed. Found some pots and pans took some steal wool to.

Both us decided on the stuff we need or wanted to get rid wasn't worth taking to thrift store.

The items in this box went back out to the shed/barn.

One more roll to go though.

Weekend Photo Hunt (In The Park-Withers)

Our little town don't have an official park. But people take there children to our local fairground and let them play on the playground equipment

  Our wood pile in the basement was withering away, actual it was gone but I had to go out to the shed/barn and haul a few pieces in.

Next weekend photo hunt will be  coffee or tea and or Zoom

One May Not Choose To Live As One Does

It's my call in all honesty I need and want this to be my last post. Come right down to it I don't like any ill feeling toward anyone.

Confession time....I'm almost as pissed off at my Aunt Eve as I once with my brother in-law Earl.

I'm not going into the details about Earl it happen so many years ago. Eve and Earl pretty much did the same stunt but for different reasons.

Now for my Aunt Eve. I believe that she see us as “indigent” right down and out. Which is farther from the truth.

In the kindness of her heart she offered Murphy a job at $8.00 an hour; weeding and she said it was “under the table” then after the fact she want Murphy social security number; so she could properly send us a 1099 and get her self a tax break. So we can handle our own taxes. She was assuming we didn't file because we're part of the 47%.

One time she ask me if the company I do home care though “took any deductions” and I said “No and I pay them so I can get my bonus” I know may Aunt heard me say “I claim it” because she replied “you do” with a surprising sound in her voice, but some how it never sunk the part about my bonus didn't hit home.

Maybe the lady a little bit hyper and has trouble on what other says and it real doesn't sink in.

Opinion time...I believe she though we didn't pay taxes and send us a 1099 would do no warm to us....Confession time...If it wasn't for the home care company bonus, the 1099 wouldn't be an issue.

She should of said “ the job pays $8.00 and we will be send out a 1099” A lease I wouldn't of lost my respect for her.

Statement time...I don't think Murphy would of done it for $8.00 if he knew he was going to receive a 1099....Confession time...I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't of...Opinion time...If someone going to pay someone under the table and use a 1099 they ought to start the wage at $9.05 an hour.

See Murphy and I don't believe in heavily supporting Imperialism Capitalism  not saying at all we aren't consumers, if we said “We aren't consumer, I would be lying”

We don't choice high life consumption but more of a simple life. But that doesn't mean we want to be exploit. 

It's gardening time for us and yet we're not in the full swing of things. But I have started some seeds. We got some Stupice and Early Girl Tomatoes. Two types of peppers mixture of hot peppers and Jimmy Nardello which is a sweet frying pepper.

Talon Onions, leeks and, artichokes.

Then for herbs we started some hyssop (anise) and Siam Basil.

The Easter Hyacinth is early this year. Last year it bloom around the 20^th of April. Last year I split

an bulbs order with Qunella which I planted last fall (2012)

It seem like everyday something new is bursting though the soil. Some what excited to see what I've planted look like

Now some of my tulips are starting show buds on them. Still it going to be while until they show any color.

I notice I have one small fritillia in bloom.

I split up one of my lavender out of the herb bed. Put two chunks of lavender in royal sunshine flowerbed.

Murphy dug up a tree and move it to the south side of our home. Don't worry I helped.

 

Murphette is pretty much move in her place. Still things need to be put away which is a pain. I've hardly move in my life.

Counting the hospital move when I was born. I've moved 10 times I believe so on average I move every five and third years.

 

I finely got the box of ceramic sorted and organize. Which means I can move on to anther shelf. But it look like right off the bat, I'll need Murphy help moving two of his box so I can get back to the boxes in the back.

As I was going though the ceramic box I ran into an old news letter I use to put out. Confession time ….I do miss doing ceramic.

We went and visit Qunella up on Katka Mountain. This here is the start of the road as one would turn off the county road

 

Still one can't drive into her place. Beginning the first of the week (April 14 to 20th) she getting four loads of gravel

Like a gardener I like to some what compare how thing are coming along in her garden.

It look like she a little head of me but not that much. I still want to get a piece of her yellow rose. She promise me some of her larger fritillia which I'll put under my front window.

Weekeend Photo Hunt (Scrumptious and where do you sit watching Television)

Sometime simple dishes are more scrumptious then fancy ones. I like to cut up an avocado and tomatoes and add a little ranch dressing. But if I feel a little daring I might add a few other items to it.

Instead of ranch dressing I may use blue or feta cheese dressing.

 

I'm not much of TV watcher but if I watch TV, I set here. Murphy is more of TV watcher then me. Lot of the time I will read or embroidery. Daisy usual set at the other end of the couch.

In my last post

Bill ask me “Why are you still filing taxes? “ In the easy way of answering I need some type of proof that we file taxes so I can get my profit share from the company.

This home care company don't take out any type of tax federal or state. Plus I pay in on my own social security.

Anther reason I file because my Aunt Eve told both Murphy and I, when she hire him to work out in the tree farm it was going to be under the table  Turn around and send us a 1099.

I'm total pissed at her for lying to us.

I'm going to leave it alone until I know more or feel like posting on it.

Now for the rest of an up date.

I been reading From-Ghetto to-Death-Camp ...a memoir of privilege and luck. By Anatol Chari & Timothy Braatz.

I'm not a big fan of most holocaust story. It not right for any group of people to be exterminated for what every reason.

But every story I've read about the Jewish people during WWII all of them are just filth rich, which I just don't buy. Haven't read a story about a poor Jew.

A least this book offers wide variance of wealth and smarts.

Now back to Murphette for a few lines. She in her new place. Which is one of her ex Clovis. He told her she can stay there until the place sold.
The only thing she needs to do is pay up the back property taxes and keep them current. Also be responsible for her own personal keep on the place.
I do hope things improve for her. But in general I think life will be a struggle for her. She doesn't see or hear her self.

Got some seed started and lot of items are up. We bought a plant heating pad and been please with it. Only thing haven't camp up at all is my Jimmy Nardello Peppers, mixture of hot peppers, and artichokes.

I sort out anther section on the barn/shed shelves and need to have Murphy go though the items Which I believe need to be taken out of here. He got veto power same as I do.

So I can put the stuff I want to keep back.

One thing I need to go though my ceramic supplies box also. There stuff music boxes, lamp parts, paint brushes, crush glass and etc.

Why Say Anything It Just Won't Do Any Good

I thought I would give you an update on the going on around here, before now. The dandelions are out so it means that soon we will be gathering Morel Mushroom.

Murphy went and got him a hair cut and looked a bit for them.

My first cousin Amira by marriage is in a coma. She has brain cancer and battle with different cancer for quite a few years.

It makes me wonder how they handle chemicals could possible be a part of the cause why she has cancer.

They live next door and move up to Fairbanks Alaska. They had a hot tub in there home and when you walk in the smell form the hot tub hit you like a lead balloon.

Plus they kept other chemical around in there home.

We store our chemical out in the shed/barn not in the house.

Hopeful she doesn't last long it will be better for friends and family if she just pass over.

Murphette is getting hit along with some other I know. Not sure who and how many will be sequester. My friend LaWalla lost her housing voucher.

Not to worried about LaWalla if so she can toss up a tent and live out the woods.

In my last post I told that Murphette will be getting $16.00  a month in stamps.

 She keep asking her self how they expect her to live on $760 a month.

I know it not much but I know people who get less.

I made a few small suggestion to make her money go father. I bet I'm just barking in the wind.

In there new home there planing to but in Wi fi and usual it runs under $40 for unlimited in city limits of Bonners Ferry . Plus satellite television which I'm clueless on the amount is charge for that.

It not just her I see so many of these people on low income and it doesn't matter where the money comes from...they all have satellite and shit like that. Then bitch how they expect us to live on the money they give us.

I like to keep our bills down to bare bones. Minus food, insurance, taxes, and oh crap is under $200 a month.

Her moving is coming right along. Confession time..In someways I feel sorry for these people then on the other hand I don't.

I'm heading into Sandpoint to pick up my bonus. Hopeful they will hand the entire check over but in pass they held it to prove that we filed our taxes.

We're far from being a millionaire and our taxes our done like one. For 2012 adjusted income was $6,421.

From the state of Idaho we get back $198.00 and $2.00 from the federal. It cost us $200 to have account do the taxes.

A lease I'm not in the boat as my friend Alice she need to pay in $600.

Now back to the bonus look on my Schedule K-1, 1065 I'll be getting $651.

The bonus is going on our property taxes.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Peace and Tranquility-Quirky)

I find peace and tranquility working in the garden. I don't know what it is but I love to rub my hands though the dirt.

 

Now this seem like a quirky way of getting to a fire. Actual firemen ran the hose to the fire. I wonder if they every save in thing in the past

Well it looks like Murphette is going to be soon settle in her new home. Her daughter Annie and son in law Dave left Texas Thursday evening and should be in Courd'Alene around Midnight on Saturday.

Murphette will be seeing her first Grandchild Earl. She been crotchet a blanket for him. I still have my baby blanket.

So there is a strong possible that Murphette will be in her place on the Northside ny next week. Her ex Clovis is let her stay in the place

But I wonder how well it going to all work out. Both of her younger daughters and there hubby will be living there, with their husband. Editor Note...Her youngest daughter Edna is living with a guy.

I know years ago family here live in multi family units. But once social security start that pretty much eliminate that.

Both Murphy and I had great grandparents that live with one of there children.

But with economic reason it seam to be happen more and more now.

One thing I can't imagine even back then everyone in those multi family unit always live in peace and harmony.

Murphette been rent a room from us, $200 a month. I wrote out rental agreement so she could keep her benefits. Which is SSI, medicaid, and food-stamps.

Her income is between $750 and $800. I just can't recall the exact amount. But now there allowing her $16.00 worth food stamps now (Snap program)

She stay with us last summer and paid nothing for rent and received $30 a month in food stamps. Like everyone else she got a raise, 2012 her income was $750. 

But what I fine more disgusting that Niles works at Energy Log place and they only pay him $11.00 an hour. Murphy was working in the sawmill in the early to mid 80's and was making a little bit over $10.00 an hour. That's dangerous work and Murphy end up messing up his back.

Plus at the time Murphy worked at mill the worker had full health insurance coverage. Niles doesn't have any medical insurance though the place he works.

Sawmill work is dangerous. 

 

We're going to sign a petition to legalize medical marijuana  in the state of Idaho. Last figure I heard that the farm bureau put two hundred thousand to block it.

I find most people who are real against legalize marijuana in any form are most likely 40 or so years ago would be against the right for the African American to have the right to vote.

Weather Report (March 2013) and Other Reports

March 2013...Warmest day was on the 29^th at 64.0 (17.7)...Coldest day was on the 24 at (-8.0)...Average high for March was 47.1 (8.3)...Average low for March was 26.1 (-3.2)...Rain gauge broke...Notice at the end of March from my view from my home. The sun looks like it coming up North of the towers on Black Mountain.

Planted some squils and snowdrop...Crocus and windflower bloom...

My goal was to have $100 left in check account after all the bills are paid and end up with a little over $300. Next (April) after all said in done I want $450 in checking.
