I had no plan to blog today but I was briefly over at The Secret Life of the American Working Witch.

Actual one time I blog everyday and I would say for last couple of years I haven't blogged on a regular bases...Confession time...I actual enjoying doing my blog even I don't get many comments.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Dodgy-Travel)

I had to get out an older dictionary and look up the word Dodgy for part of this week photo hunt. It would be a good base for a sci-fi movie or a book. With twist of espionage in it.

But how to use it in sentence I couldn't come up with a thing.

  At time I travel by foot and shadow sometime follows behind or side me. But this time it was a head of me.

I got though the week. Took Quenella to her eye appointment and it look like her cataracts are ready to come off.

I would say they were first notice about 2 years ago and was waiting until she turn 65 so medicare would kick in.

I know she gets a little above $1,000 a month with her social security check.

Opinion time...It pretty unfair someone has to wait because they can't afford medical treatment.

I finish up the week at Joel and Candy. I heard from Candy why the other girl walked out. I real didn't want to know.

I've done home care long enough, believe me it's not an easy job such bullshit and I complete understand why someone would walk off the job.

Took a little bit of time in the late afternoon when I got off work. Dug up some quack grass in hodgepodge flowerbed and other things that don't belong in there.

dug out the bulbs and sat them on the front steps. There some plants I want to move to a different spot in the hodgepodge flowerbed but I'm not sure the best route to go.

 

At the end of each month I like to set out and read some different blogs other then what I have listed on the right side of my blog. Which I call my “Coffee Drinkers”

This time I visit and comment blogs over at patheos a bunch of different religious blogs. They don't necessarily talk about hard core fire and brimstone faith.

Party and have fun during this year Samhain blog celebration. It look like 5 witches are doing something exciting for this month of spooky things.

Kaput...What Else Could Be Said.

We're still stabbing at things around here.

I don't what gave Murphy the ideal to remove the shower off of our bedroom. The shower been kuput for quite while now.

We scantly talk a little bit about redoing the bathroom. We both agree the bathroom needs to be redone. But the question is what and how.

But in mean time there other fish to be fried around the place.

Got to more box packed up of Murphette stuff. I would guess there 3 or less boxes of stuff remaining. Opinion time....Some of her stuff is just broken piece of crap...personal I think a bit of it should have been haul to the dump.

I haven't been tossing any of her stuff out. Confession time...Ok a few piece which was broken I tossed. An old magazine and couple of broken picture frame.

Murphy and I got all the potatoes dug up and stored. We hasn't quite sure how we should store them. With out putting any money into it.

So we or should say he dug a hole in part of the barn/shed. Put an old holey tarp in bottom of it and dump in potatoes.

Threw an old sheet over the top. Then put about 2 ½ inches of Styrofoam insulation. Then one can see we used an old bed comfort.

Can up 10 pints of tomatoes.

Once again I filled in for most of the week. Early in week Alice called me to fine out how often I could go out to Candy and Joel place over by Montana. Well I have time to go over on Friday morning I know she was disappointed that I couldn't give any more hours but once again I too have a full plate but under control.

Her daughter Nicole and I feel the same way about home care. don't care for it at all Not sure why or what she dislikes Confession time..I feel like I'm just helping these people dig there graves...lot of time I feel like I'm enabling them...but it sat up that way.

Not sure what going on with Ellie. I post in a past blog what her cost would be and my ideal

Once in while I drive Qunelle some places she only drive locally and in the day light hours. She has cataracts and needs to see the eye doctor in Sandpoint.

Question time...what is it with me and some people?

 

I have Bart dog “Carson” who is mostly greyhound. Actual he is pretty good nature guy. Not the brightest bulb and little bit on bullheaded side.

If your wondering why I got Carson. Bart went to Portland to see his girl friend Edna.

I been scratching away at some ceramic pieces. Usual I end up doing ornaments. 

 

I been trying to get my small kiln filled up. At the thrift stores I will pick up ceramic pieces that is done in acrylics re-fire the paint off and re-due them.

But the main thing is that it been cleaned correctly

I've even scored on bisque which hasn't been painted.

I don't know if you notice the edge or not there is a complete bottom of greenware waiting to be fired.

I want to get more done on the shed/barn well I can't say it went completely kuput. I got rid of an steel type of pan and an old scale my parents use for the berry patch. Plus the week isn't over yet but the remain week I could say the kuput might as well be down for the count.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Automoblie-Escape)

I have to say I'm not much into automobile as long as they get me to my point of destination and back home...I'm happy. 

  This is a picture of our recreation area for our county inmate. Not sure how many people our local jail will hold. It was built in the mid 70's.

But when it was built it was said to be escape proof. But they're been tells not sure if it true or not. But one guy did a penny crime to get arrest. His main reason to get arrested so he could prove the jail wasn't escape proof.

Sort of Like and Not.

At times I actual think I should be doing a lot more done then what I do....Scarey thought....But like always we do get some stuff done.

Slowly I been picking away at the shop/garage. Murphette left not many items in our shop/garage nothing big so I'm packing things a little tighter and taking it to her storage unit....which I really don't mine doing.

But she left her false teeth stuff and some stuff I know she would enjoy receiving. One of her books and a light bed spread.

The package cost me about $15.00 to send down to Bakersfield.

Plus I send $5.00 so I could get an key made for her daughters storage unit. I don't care how she handles it, she can get a copy down there or send me her key and I'll make a copy.

I had a key one time but I could swear I stuck in a holder in the dash board.

I don't want to put the blame on anyone but her daughter Annie and son in law Dave was with me when the key come up missing.

It does matter it just needs to be replace.

Both Quenella and I would like to finish up getting there stuff out of our place before the snow flies.

Quenella has Murphette daughter Doris belonging at her place.

I bet I'm even sounding like a hypocrite one moment I don't mine helping but I don't want  her items out of the garage/shop.

I was wanting to get back to cleaning more on the shop/barn. But last 2 days of the work week I filled in for Alice and then for her daughter Nicole, clients.

Plus Ellie want me to stop by and I will be going pass her place and she said she needs a few things.

 

But one thing I did was give away the old scale my parents had for their commercial berry business.

We gave it to Fynn who has a produce business.

It made more room in the barn/shed.

After that we went over to Murphy sister Faith gave her some produce from our garden. She ended up giving us some apples, on the small side and a few worm holes which can be taken care of easy enough.

One of Faith neighbor across the street has a tree of Italian prunes and we got some.

 

Went and pick up some banana on sale at super one sale, Saturday the 15th morning they had bananas for .38¢ a pound picked up some to dry.

It takes about 4 bananas for tray and I did 3 trays that I spiced up the bananas. The spices I used was clove, allspice and nutmeg.

As other things we been putting up. Freezing all sort of peppers, froze a little bit of fennel bulb and root.

Then there is the flower bed. I got the royal sunshine flowerbed trim back like it should have been. Dug up some bulbs and move them in where they should of went the first place.

I ordered some bulbs. Usual around here they come the end of September or the first part of October.

One thing I notice but didn't notice when I send in order for some flowering alliums they don't send them to Idaho.
I guess I'll have to see what happens.

The other flower bed Hodge Podge flowerbed Murphy trim up the roses. Then I clean out between the flowers and the foundation.

So now I need to lay something between the roses and the foundation of the place. We have some bricks behind the barn/shed not sure I really want to use it for permeable solution.

Then it look like there quite a bit to preserve here now.

Weekend Photo Hunt (glass-hairy)

When this week theme of glass came up, it made me hungry for custard. So I got out my little glass custard (flan) dishes.

Made some up and add some fresh picked blackberries to them.

Baked Custard....

4 eggs

¾ cup of milk

sugar to taste

Mix 3 ingredients well...pour into custard dishes..should be enough for 4 of them.

Preheat oven to 350° spray your custard cups with “pam” or something like that. Fill custard cups 2/3 full add fruit if desired.

Put some water in pan.., a oblong cake works nicely...place custard dish into pan of water..place into preheat oven and bake for about an 1 hour or until knife inserted come out clean.

Remove custard cups from pan of water cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for about 3 hours.

 

I wasn't sure if I was going to get this shot of “Daisy” hairy little belly. She will lay beside Murphy and let him rub her little hairy belly...total enjoys it.

Next weekend photo hunt theme will be automobile and or escape

  Recently we been putting up all sort of stuff. Murphy and I use this mill to make a juice...quite messy...but it was good with beer..one could say “red beer”

We got 7 quarts of tomatoes can up.

I filled in for Alice with her client on Thursday. That day she takes Libby to a school in Sandpoint for mental challenged people. Then she was heading over to Newport to deliver some preserves.

We and when I say we it's me and the hubby Murphy. Friday morning we went and did some repair work on our chimney. I was total shock he new anything about masonry work.

I stay below and was the go to girl..so I ran around and fetch different tools...Plus giving him moral support..Confession time...At time I'm not very good at giving moral support..Opinion time..Murphy gets frustrated easy...Statement time...I have know trouble telling him to put a sock in it. But from ground level looks like he did a good job.

Murphy did announce that we would soon need to re-due the chimney. But it's ok for this wood burning season. At times I wonder if it worth it. Natural Gas is so cheap....Murphy and I like going and getting firewood....but I notice that fuel for our rigs is at $3.89 a gallon....fire wood getting isn't getting any cheaper either.

 

No One won the scarecrow I was giving away..that's how the ball balances. But I did get the old world Santa done. I'll probably list it on Esty...not sure what price I want for it...Two things I don't know if I bought it in greenware or bisque and can't remember the price I paid for it. I know I don't own a ceramic mold for that piece.

But towards end of November or first part of December I'll be giving away 4 ornaments.

Life Can Be Forever On Merry Go Round

Some time I know life would be a lot easier if I gave less caring for others. I'm still trying to get Ellie line up with home care.

I know cut backs to the program to help the poor is pretty bad...usual it something from health and welfare. So getting proper help for someone can be some what difficult.

But I'm wondering what kind of game and who's playing. She could be an alcoholic and don't want to buy her Co-pay....Let just say for math her income is $1,400 a month..actual it a little bit over.

Medicaid want her to pay $350. She got assign 15 hours weekly. In a month she gets 60 hours a month. My monthly work check from this job will be $660 and her part is the $350....So it comes down she will be paying me about $5.80 an hour. The state making up the rest.

As a short time ago I brought up the alcoholic bit but she has trouble with her electrolytes. I wonder if her brain don't quite function like it should.

Actual 15 hours is quite a bit of time with anyone client. She could mange with 3 or 4 hours every other week but I'm afraid she want to pay a few dollars an hour. In my mind 8 hours a month I want $80..so $10 an hour dollars...See she says I use to clean homes for $2 and $3 an hour...”back when I had my cafe I charge for a delux burger is $2.50...I believe that was in the 90's...now they cost $4.50.

But I sat my self a dead line of the 15^th of October and the roller coaster is going to be smooth out or I'm unplugging it. 

Well one of our niece Gissele and the odds are fairly high is bad mouthing me though her facebook page.

She has no trouble posting an opposing opinion. Statement time..If someone has an opposing opinion to any of her posting she throws an immature fit.

Her politics are quite ultra conservative and pro military.

I'm sure my reply to her posting about our first lady...pissed her off...I simple pointed out that Laura Bush and all first lady...spend plenty on vacation or clothing....Then I sign in computer style..your “Liberal Aunt”.

I bet she using all sort of adjectives such as pinko, communism, socialist pig, liberal bitch, a happy lover, anti American, anti capitalist, and etc.

If she just un-friend me. I wouldn't think to much about it...I'm not thinking to much about it...This will probably be the only time I'll have to post anything about Murphy niece behavior... It isn't first time I open my mouth and pissed off someone.

But she also un-friend her cousin Sawyer and Bart my sons. It gives me more reason to believe she is talking shit about me. I can't see her bad mouthing and talking shit about me and leaving Bart and Sawyer on her facebook friend.

I have to give the girl credit she isn't dumb..narrow minded “yes.”...She could have had the upper hand...What she should of done if she really want to bad mouth me...was to put her posting as a select friends (leave the 3 of us out) call me all the things I post above...even use few swear words...never took any of us off her facebook friend list...So she could have been a total bitch,,,instead she a semi bitch.

Come right down to it Gissele is a bully and most of them are cowards.

Now I thought my mother side worship and had such a love for money. It actual all about love of work. Most of them would be glad to work for a few pennies toss to them and be thankful.

I believe my Aunt Eve doesn't think it's right that Murphy or I aren't so gung hole to make that all might dollar and even be treat like shit.

Bring up union to her...well my dad was member of the teamster union with the railroad and I grew up in middle class family for that time.

If your wondering why I'm posting this I know I have family and non family who are peeper in my blog. They'll be reading this...for what reason they don't comment...It's like someone reading your diary and you know their reading it...loose lip sink ships...nothing secret these days.

I was totally surprise that the grade school would still aloud tether balls on the play ground. When I was younger I enjoy playing the sport of Tetherball on the play ground during reassess

Some time I get stuck figure out how to paint one of my ceramic pieces.

To Give a Helping Hand Out

 I'm glad have the opportunity to help Murphette out. She want to go down to Bakersfield and I let her stay at our place so she could save up her money to move.

She left Spokane about 10 in the morning on Tuesday the 4^th of September and arrived in Bakersfield on Wednesday the 5^th, about 8 that evening.

Statement time...I don't understand why someone would go to an ex....usual there is a reason why some one is an ex....Confession time....I'm glad to have my home back with my hubby Murphy.

Slow I been trying to get Ellie income straighten out with Health and Welfare. I'm not quite sure what to think...If she wants me to come and work penny on the dollar.

She does need the help and I'm starting to think her brain is all messed up from her electrolyte being whacked out or its pickled from alcohol

But for pennies I would be better off staying home and mess with ceramics.

As Murphette left of course she didn't haul everything down and left some food. So I divide it up between my friend Alice and I.

Murphette ate different then we do. But what we could use is for a quick lunch. See that ate a lot of per-package foods.

Friday the Lutheran Church is having a food give away.

If your wondering why I'm going...Statement time....I find most things about having a job totally disgusting....That one reason I live choose to live frugal....our last month monthly utilities didn't even come to $150....and if employer acts up I can just walk off.

Confession time...When I go and do home care I feel like I'm helping these people dig there grave.

I shouldn't let it bothers me if the people I take care want to make poor choices in their life...such as having a shitty diet...smoke like chimney and I'm including marijuana and nicotine....drink like a fish and I'm sure not counting water.

Confession time...I find it totally disgusting when the Medicaid nurse comes out to interview the people who is applying to get help in there home and nothing is done about there crappy choices in there lifestyle.

When it comes right down to the fact a lot people are in there condition because they made poor choices.

Please don't get me wrong I have no trouble people having a dish of something good like “ice cream” but chowing down a quart or more of ice cream in one sitting.

Or even sitting and sipping a cold beer.

Confession time...I even do it....but not to this extend.

 

I went back to working on my ceramic. Casting a few smaller items. At this time the garage/shop needs a little bit of cleanup.

I'm painting at this time and old world Santa and some ornaments to hang on your yule tree.

Weather Report for August 2012 and Other Stuff.

The warmest day was August 4^th 92.8 (33.7)

The coldest day was August 29 & 30 24.8 (-4)

The average high for the month was 84.8 (29.3)

The average low for the month was 31.7 (-0.1)

Rainfall for the month was .25 (0.6)

 

I did finish my walk to end of the field. There were some stuff back in the woods in corner like a deer stand.

A hay baler but with a large engine hooked to it.

But this silver item. I'm not sure what it is.

I kept better track what we spend except for fuel for the rigs

August bill looks like this

Northern lights which is our electricity $60.93

Phone bill $20.77

Water bill $41.00

Avista which is our gas $5.11

Lab work $19.96

So the total spend for the month $147. 77

Now for the food I kind of broke it down a little but I there could be some debate what is whole, foolish food, and prepared foods.

Whole foods came to $255.92

Foolish foods came to $67.08

Prepared foods came to $45.03

Non Foods came to $72.02

So the total spend for the month $440.05

So all of this was for 3 people 1 dog and 3 cats. But if you just want to break it down to just people the cost per meal was $1.57...3 meals a day.

Confession time...the foolish part was mainly at Starbucks.

Last thing I start to paint and pour up some of my ceramics.

YOU Use Safety Nets

Austerity is a popular word there using in this year election. But the word austerity is being used in part with the economy. Which simple means “reduced availability of luxuries and consumer goods, esp when brought about by government policy”

A lot of times I've been hearing during the election is cutting taxes and funding for different programs, which is our safety nets for all of us.

With all the talk I haven't yet heard of many cuts or reduction in luxuries items.

Reduction in program that target the ones with lower incomes isn't necessary fair way of austerity.

The ones I'm most concern those who are with out adequate means. Which our safety nets need to be in place and completely intact.

They should have adequate funding. Adequate funding does or doesn't mean to increase or decrease budget for our safety nets.

At present time some of our safety nets are set up to trap one into poverty.

Actual it time to look how our safety nets are actual manged. Are safety nets shouldn't be sat up to entrap someone into pauperization.
