Photo Hunt (Written)

Years ago in early 80's I took a hand writing analysis class. I thought it would be a good match to this week theme for the photo hunt.

I was looking though the note book and it been a while. I recall when a person makes there capital letters at the beginning in a print form on a paper there usual a love of reading.

But there settle clues in a person hand writing will give info on this person.

Recently I filled out form from our local library about “Lets talk about it” I took a picture of the back side so one could get base ideal what my hand writing looks like.

Look at the g's notice most of them are larger loop. The lower loop on my l's are larger then the top ones, my I's dots aren't above the i's and let see what other clues I can find about one self. On ending words I tend to loop back toward the left not always back over the entire word http://tnchick.com/
This year we went over to my sister in law Faith for Thanksgiving and this year it was a smaller gathering. This year there where 14 of us.

Faith Youngest daughter Gissele and her husband Terry came in from Kalispell Mountana which I believe is around 140 miles east of Bonners Ferry.

But none came up from Courd'Alene and Spokane area. Expect our son Bart came in

Before I move on I brought a green salad if you notice I put paper towels in. I keep saying I need to get a salad spinner but I line salad bowl with paper towel to take up the moister

I been doing some small changes in my diet. Nothing fancy but small. I'm cutting back on the coffee. . Well my goal is to majorly cut back on the caffeine. It's a good thing I'm not a soda pop drinker every week I have cut off line when it come to caffeine right now I don't have any caffeine after 3 pm and starting November 29 cut off time is 2:30 in the afternoon. Then the following week the cut off line will be 2 in the afternoon etc and so forth and goal will be down to less then 3 cups a day.

I'm looking into eating more raw foods. I'm not sure where I want to go with this but I believe raw foods one gets most bang for the dollar when it come to nutrition

In my last post http://peppylady.blogspot.com/2010/11/no-boots-to-lace-up.html starting at the second paragraph I gave some thoughts on food stamp program.

I like to add a little more thought on food stamps. During the major holiday when extra food is being served. To me this would be Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Give those a little more food benefit to there quest cards. Let say $30 more to the household and $10 a person and credit there account about a week before.

Statement time...Purchasing extra food for these people during holidays can be a strain on those who income is very limited

No Boots To Lace Up

My world or I should say the stage of events that may or may not come. You know like those spirits in Charles Dickson “Christmas Carol”
We just had election and we have basically a two party system in United States the Republican which is leans towards a more of conservative ideals and democrats which there ideals or more liberal.
At this time neither of the two party don't want to work together.
In our resent election the lower house was taken over by the Republican known as the party of “no”  Opinion time...I don't see the Republican saying no to any big corporation or banks.
Just to the safety net programs

Lets not just poke the fire and see if we can get the fire going. Throw some fuel of fire  Opinion time...I don't believe the people who needs aid should be handed it with out  no countability or responsibility Murphy had the ideal of people who drew food stamps should be able to sent in there receipts and get some type of rebate back for buying food with nutritional value other then soda, chips, and prepackage foods.
Statement time...No wonder some of the lower income has so many health trouble

I don't know Idaho is the only state uses a card a plastic card like a credit or debit looking card. Here in Idaho there called quest cards. Every month they get a charge up like a gift card to purchase food and part of them also get charged up like anther section which one can purchase non food items. I believe it set up to buy soaps, paper products and things that people needs in there home.
Opinion time ...I see nothing wrong with a treat. Every kid need a birthday cake for their birthdays. but when the this money is cash out to purchase alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets, and other non sectional items but the tax payer is flipping the bill.
Give each person $30 a month for non sectional items. Then give them voucher checks for toilet paper a dozen month should be plenty for each in the home, 6 rolls or paper towels, 12 oz dish washing soap a month and etc.

I haven't heard anyone make the the statement” I like paying taxes” but let face fact those countries that have a little or no income tax there usual ran by some dictatorship or have caste system.
Opinion time...If we're not careful and there to much of tax cut we could end having a caste system Simplify our taxes would be a major step, “Sorry tax prepares” but I would increase the personal deduction up to $30,000 a person and $45,000 for married couples, and those who are over 60 years old let them deducted and extra $5,000. Then no more deduction one would have to pay a flat tax of 17% and 3% but the 3% this tax you will have a choice where this money goes to which department.
Corp and business taxes now. There not a true definition between big and small business. So there taxes should also be simplier.
Business should have exploitation fines and laws if the upper or managerial types is making 20 times more then there average worker one should find 5x what they pay there employee wages up to a million dollars. Now for the taxes. The only thing should be deducted is wages and if the employer pays his employees a middle class wage which I believe should be $40,000 a year or $20 an hour and as far I'm concern these business should have and extra $80,000 to deducted from there taxes.
Then what is left after all this they should pay 20% of the profits to taxes.
I believe they should not be aloud to deducted things like entertainment, deprecation on there equipment, postage, mileage and etc.
Those who takes there business off shore should be tax at and 80% flat tax rate and those who refuse to make quality items and safe (look at China and other over seas market the uses of such material as lead) should be fine at $100 per item. Those cargo ships can hold a lot of Elmo. “Sorry Sesame Street nothing against you personally

If we don't become more involved with spirit of caring, fairness, responsibility, countability, and charitable. Which I have no trouble letting our tax dollar go to these. Call me a socialist if you want. Let the spirit of selfishness and greed linger we could be in for some ruff time

photo hunt (Juicy)

This hunt was fairly easy. This week theme was juicy so I went down with Donna to Sandpoint to do some shopping. In Bonners Ferry we only have two stores http://www.harvestfoodsnw.com/ and http://www.safeway.com/ which both will empty your pockets in no time.
So we when any chance I get I go to http://www.super1food.net/ and shop.

We were looking for oranges and couldn't find any and I know the produce manger. A advantage of living in small town.
For some reason the shipment of orange wasn't going to be in till the next day. So he had these pulled off of the shelf and let us have them for forty nine cent a pound.
So when one bite into the orange it's juicy and sweet.

photo hunt (itchy)

I often wonder how http://tnchick.com/ every come up with each weeks hunt. This week theme is itchy First thing came to my mind was itchy wool sweater.

But putting a little more thought into. I came up with a spruce tree. They're sure itchy and scratchy. Once again, picture was taken as I was walking Rex at ball park - doggie park. “No I don't live there” it sure seems like a lot of my picture for the hunt been taken at park.

I had to look on the internet on how many types of Spruce they're. Well I found out there 7 different types of spruce and I thought there would be more. As my hubby works with tree and he thought there would be 400 of them.

I told him the number what I found out in my research. He could see why so few because they live in colder environment.

I know some birds and different animals like to build nest in there to raise there young's. It thick and dark and hard for others to get to them. Plus it sticky and itchy also.

I don't recall doing this or not. I know people who uses spruce for there Christmas tree mostly if their children tend to be on wild side or un tame little varmints.

A few pokes with the needles they have second thoughts of touching the tree. But one would have to wear gloves to trim the tree.

Weather Report (Oct 2010)

October 5th was the warmest day 64.0 (17.7)

October 17th and 19th was the coldest day 24.8 (4.0)

The average high for the October was 55.0 (12.7)

The average low for the October was 34.3 (1.2)

Rainfall 3 ½ (8.8)

first light frost on the 13th of October

Saw first snow on Mountain the 24th of October.

It seem like we have trouble with our pets and want to protect them from bullies. Murphy got a young deer a buck. So Daisy got the neck to chew on which really doesn't help BO or Do (Doggy Order) well a pack of large dogs came and bit her and took it her deer neck from her.

I wasn't there but she yelp and was very upset.

As soon as Murphy open the door those dogs ran off with her meat.

Now when any touch her I believe is her left shoulder she lets out a yelp in pain.

Right now my old client Callie got her dog Rosie. See Callie always want to get married and have a family. But her living arrangement was to stressful on Rosie so her mom got the dog now.

There living a household of 10 people and some bigger dogs.

Yesterday I went or I should say I took my client Murphette and her two daughters in to Sandpoint. To do some shopping. Statement time...I shook my head on there shopping habits and at times I see why poor people stay poor it really bothers me to watch them purchase food. No wonder they have health issues.

Even as heavy as Donna is she in better health then Murphette. Donna diet is more then 80% good choices and less then 20% crap. Murphette is just flip of the coin compare to my client Donna.

We help celebrate Nayday Birthday he is youngest of Quincy and Murphy sister Faith youngest grandson. Actual his birthday was on the 5th and he turn 5.

One could tell he was the youngest of larger mount of siblings. He has one older brother and three older sister.

Yes there was quite a few youngster there, couldn't give a number of guest. But he had pumpkin pinata and he got up set when he had to let other kids have a turn breaking the pinata.

But in general I think he did pretty good. Got a lot of neat toys we got him a punching bag. Plus he enjoy all of his company much a busy five year old does Anyhow Safeway was the only bakery in town. When they first open their cakes was just plain gross a grease ball but the last I had was good

Since I never did any Halloween decoration. I got out one Thanksgiving decoration a Him and her Turkey and sat it on our TV

photo hunt (Alive)

I have to say the best thing or one of the best things about my job is my clients pets. Well it's not part of the job description but I take Rex for a walk. Most of the time we head to the ball park but also known as a dog park.
I like to walk around edge of the park to see if anything alive. In summer time when the days are warmer I'll see all sort of life.
Usual in heat of summer sun there will be turtle sunny them self.
But as the days are shorter and the sun don't have a chance to heat up the earth in the Northern hemisphere things haven't been as lively around the old pond.
But I know better then that things are alive. Even if it little cells starts to form a new life.
So this week theme for photo hunt is Alive If interest in hunt please visit the hostess Tn Chick

Today Is Wednesday, April 17, 2024: This Is What Happened

There was very little going on today. I went to the library to get a printout. We don't own a printer, and I'm afraid I would have ...
