Photo Hunt (Technogy)

I had a little trouble with this photo theme. I want something different to post. So I came up with a light switch I never knew much about the history of light switch I know they real don’t change all that much in years.
I found a blogger who post a little bit of history on the light switch

Both of the boys was up for Thanksgiving. We all ate over at my sister in law faith place.
They were 23 of us. Plus 5 dogs.
So they following day from Thanksgiving we start to put up the outside lights. Murphy thought it would be a great ideal to steak up a tree in the front and decorate it.
But I have a way better ideal to make a tree with strings of lights and hula-hoop.
I don’t believe it should be hard to do. I know hula-hoop isn’t all that costly. Not sure what the lights will run.
My Uncle Lowell use to do a strings of lights and made a Christmas tree. It could be seen for a long ways. Money is tight this year so I’m not sure if we can afford it or not. Soon Murphy will be out of unemployment. So I’m not sure if we can afford the lights or it would be a wise thing to buy.

It"s Done and More To Do

This weekend I have been sort of fighting down in the dumps. Friday my friend Quenelle and I went over to the Spokane area.
Well after we visit my friend Finny and her hubby we went thrift store shopping. The Valley Village I have to say I wasn’t all that impressed.
I have to say a local thrift store is better and priced better. But still I ended up getting some books that will go in my youth winter box. Each kid will get a book plus two other gifts.
I got Donna a sled decoration she can hang on her door this holiday season.
My son Bart drove us around and we stop at some Thrift stores in Post Falls they where a lot better.
I got some E-Z Strokes and I paid quarter for each jar.
I got a few other things to.

I look for my sons a vacuum cleaner but couldn’t find one and at our local thrift store I got one for just under $10.
Now I need to find anther one for my other son.

I finely got Santa in the tub done and I have to say I prefer the other one.
Now I want to cast some mugs, which I will add to the winter box. Plus buy three scratch lottery tickets and then it should be done.
I need to inventory the kids winter box.

So today which would be Sunday/ Murphy and I went to his sister Faith place to see if what we need to bring for Thanksgiving.
She wants me to bring a toss green salad.
I’ll make some other stuff to but not sure what yet.
We are bringing our friend Quenelle over. This is her first holiday alone since Michael pass away.
Plus I need to mix up some clay so I can cast some ceramic pieces and our drill isn’t big enough to mix the dry ole clay slip.
I’m not planning to cast a bunch of things so I don’t need the big tank going.
So I’m using there big Milwaukee drill

Last bit of news I made peanut brittle first time this year. Because it was snowing can’t think of better reason

There Only So Much

My client/friend got her food stamps cut back I believe it was $90. Her stepson moved out of the home.
Her (I know not legal) Husband Mason wants her to lie about that his son is still living there.
I ensured her she did the right thing and when people aren’t honest it will come and bit them on the ass. I believe in Karma.
So I suggest that I could go down to our local food bank and get there salvaging program 2 to 4 times a month.
I believe one only can pick up a food box 3 or 4 times a year here.
I told her about meals on wheels for senior and the disable, which they will deliver meals to your home. But I’m having trouble finding any thing about it.
Plus she trying to get in low in come (HUD) apartment and her credit has some issues. I ask her if she really didn’t want to deal with it. She said she really didn’t want to. I pointed out that Mason got a notice about his property tax that he got a notice that he needs to have. I don’t recall how much by Dec 20th. But if he doesn’t pay it then their tacking three hundred dollars on it and everything needs to be paid off by March sometime.
Then it will be auction off on step of our local courthouse.
I told her I know it stressful but waiting to last minutes it going to make it worse.
Statement time…Mason had plenty of opportunity to pay the back taxes and choose not to do it.

I’m a lucky wife. Murphy has been doing majority of the housework at our home.
So for tonight dinner he had in oven roast beef heart and mash potatoes.
Then he made a salad.

So tomorrow I’ll be heading down to the Spokane Valley to see my friend Finny which we been friends for years clear back in the 60s.
But I need to call my youngest son Bart up and see if he needs any firewood. Then I’ll know which vehicle to take.
See my friend Quenelle is going to ride down with me. The pickup only holds two people and my car hold four. But it doesn’t hold wood.
But I recall the area Finny lives in being called Greenacres
The funny thing everytime I would go into Greenacres I believe everyone start to sing the theme song from the TV show Greenacres

Green acres is the place to be
Farm living is the life for me
Land spreading out,
so far and wide
Keep Manhattan,
just give me that countryside.

New York
is where I'd rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling, I love you,
but give me Park Avenue

The Chores
The Stores
Fresh air
Times Square
You are my wife. Goodbye city life.
Green Acres, we are there!

Heads or Tail (Autumn Memory)

Heads Or Tails

I haven’t played or been part of heads or tails for a long time plus it fun.
I thought I should give it a try. This week theme is Autumn Memory
Next week theme looks like it will be “soft

When I was little girl. The part of fall I was scared of was the wind. But now I enjoy the wind. Which means taking out something and bring in change.
It seems like autumn starts the day after day labor day when one adventure back to school.
We all got to see what one got in new clothes to start the school year.
To meet our new teachers and see our new books, so we can see what we may learn.

I enjoyed riding my horses during a fall breeze which always seamed to make the horses spunky and spirited.
They would hop and prance around.

Fall means change in one eating of hot drink such as hot tea, hot apple cider, hot coca and some hot soups or stew.
I like a bowl of hot chili with corn bread

One thing I still like about fall is watching leaves change color and falling so graceful from the trees.
At this time some of the trees are naked and bare. I see a few leaves hanging on my thread for dear life

The Day Before I Go To Work

Well I got my dishtowel embroidery. It sure took me long enough and it wasn’t really all that much to it.
This towel will be add to my “winter box”

I even took a little time and did some painting on my scarecrow. I’m sort of pushing my self to finish up the two projects I got going.
I complete the patches and pockets.
But for some reason I can’t find the color I did the jacket in.
Once the jacket is painted.
Then the highlighting, antiquing, or wipeback then it’s done.
I got a little bit to do on Santa in the tub.
Next week I’ll finish up the Santa.
Then I’ll cast some mugs that will go in the winter box.
I need to do a few Christmas ornaments which will be part of the winter box activities

I have a wet jet which I total love.
I wasn’t much on mops of days gone by. You would mop your floor and keep the gross head on it. Store the bacteria or nasty crap from the floor and use it again.
Now with the wet jet use the pad and toss it in the trash.
Well now they came out with a different shape bottle of cleaning solution and it rides much better then the old one.
After the solution is empty I’ll use basic H with it

This afternoon earlier I went up and seen my friend Quenelle. She and I walked up on the upper plateau of her property.
She wants to add an oriental theme to her gardens.
She wants to host wedding
But she likes us we don’t have a lot of capital to work with.
Statement time…I think she going to have a hard time finding people to pay her asking price for what she offering.
She asked me to bring up different subject matter and I pointed out that people will see the price and the numbers of guest aloud.
But we did have nice visit.
I brought a piece of chocolate cake for both of us and she made hot tea

Well when I got home. I decide to transplant some stevia from my hodgepodge flowerbed to my royal sunshine flower bed.
I don't think they'll be much more time this season to be out in the garden. It spitting snow now

Sky Watch (Changable Sky)

Never know what the sky will be doing from day to day, sometime minute-to-minute.
So being Friday I took a random picture of Skywatch Friday

Not sure what kind of weather I was looking today. It snowing this morning but I believe it will warm up later on and it will be gone.
I walked to the edge of our lawn and took a picture up toward Black Mountain. Keeping thinking we should drive up and get a Christmas tree soon.
Last year we got a beautiful Alpine fir.
The permits are only five bucks.
But the real cost is the fuel and if you add that to it. It cheaper or the same cost just buying one for $20 bucks at BTC.
If we buy a Christmas tree I’m going to look at

fraser fir.
Last time the boys were up visiting. I told them I want a Christmas tree. There answer was just go out in the middle of some Christmas tree farm and just whack one down and pull it out.
Plus there telling me where this tree they been babying more then others. In hope it will be in the White House someday.
When the boys were younger they were thrilled about a tree of Christmas.

Off To

I tired so hard to have a positive weigh in at my Tops meeting. Well I can see why I gain weight the weigh in before this.
But this time I gain two pounds.
My hubby been doing most of the cooking and he doesn’t buy a lot of prepare package food but his choices I feel isn’t the best.
He bought the fattest ground beef and is making casedeas.
Then he will add a little pork sausage.
So I wonder if it my hubby cooking. Might as well blame it on him.
I might say I fell off the wagon but that wouldn’t be a true statement. Statement time…the changing my life style when it comes to my health is on a broken wagon

Well today I did two client one was Faith who isn’t at hard. It was short day and I got a few things at Safeway. Grapes there are at $1.79 a pound.
Plus there super sweet

Then off to do Murphette. The only house work I do there is dishes and I know if I did anymore. It sure wouldn’t benefit the gentleman who is staying there.
Sometime I’ll give more detail what is going on.
But today I took her up to the Jenni Lane apartment and she could request a fair hearing why she getting rejected. And never explain what is wrong with her credit.
Talking to the residential manger he said over the last year. 4 out 5 people who apply for the low-income housing get turn down.
Actual before that we went and turn in the paper work for food stamps.
Then we headed to down town Bonners and finished out the rest of her errands.
First one I needed to go over to our local clerk office and get a copy of her oldest daughter marriage lesion
Our local courthouse isn’t really at all set up for the handicap. One can get into the lower level of the courthouse but I don’t believe any other floors.
Then I had to go over to Safeway again and get her prescriptions.
Opinion time…I find it disgusting how these drug company real empty out ones pockets Her two prescription cost $300 give or take a little bit.
She has Medicaid but still it taking from the taxpayers. They could have Medicaid pick up a generic brand that does the same thing for a whole lot less.
Then my last stop was the post office to get her 10 stamps

Well when we got back the people who does the fair hearing called and explain why they where possible things wrong with Murphette credit.
The three main credit companies what conflicting information.
Question time…Why in the hell didn’t someone say anything. Except you have problems with your credit.
So now she can get this straighten out. I know it anther loop hole to jump throw

Before I went out to work I fix some of my weather report pictures.
Then this evening my son Bart called me up and possibly need to barrow $225 for rent. He got approve for a student loan but it might not be here by rent day

Buffet Table

There been a few project we been working on but it seem to take us so many moon to do them.
I believe it lays the categories of lack of money, lack of knowledge, lack of time, and lot of time all three.

But we did get a buffet table into our dinning area. It was an older dresser that my parents had.
I believe it will do nicely.
I have a small confection oven out in the shed/barn that I can put next to the microwave that cooks things like pastries really good.
I had a dresser there before. I believe I will end up taking it to the thrift store. But I’m going wait on it for a short time I don’t need to end up on a shortage of space

Murphy put up a simple clothes line in our basement to dry clothes during the winter months.
With today economy it save ones pocketbook and also decrease one carbon footprint.
Our last month electric bill was $34.55 and that was for 603 kwh.
Statement time…I need to say that our power company charges everyone a $25.00 monthly fee

Both of my sons are up for the weekend. They have been helping around the place. Sawyer was thrilled that I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast

Photo Hunt (Veterans/Military)

This Saturday I decide to do photo hunt and this week challenge is November 7: Veterans/Military

I don’t know much about our local National Guards here in Bonners Ferry. They got a new building in last few years.
But before that it was a green cinder block building.
I understand back in the 40’s the ground had an old folks home. I guess two of my Aunts worked there as they was in high school

Yesterday the 6th of November I was reading some of my coffee pal blogs. At Mary writing nook she is Passing the words around about a family who wishes to celebrate Christmas early.
Because there son has Neuroblastoma, which is a childhood cancer.
Also one may cheak out Snopes
I’m sending Noah a Christmas card. Hope you can do the same and let others know about this

Please Take Off Your Blinders

Last few times with my client I been stepping out of the box to help them. It really gets to me how narrow minded some people or have blinders on.

I can see how much therapeutic a pet is for elderly and disable.
My client Donna has this wonderful pet called Rex.
On my job description I’m only there to help my client. Fact time..Pets are very an important part of these client life’s and lot of time these people can’t total do everything for the pets
The main thing I do for her and Rex is take him for a walk, simply because she can’t.
Plus I do other smaller project for her and Rex.

Rex is aging and is getting stiff in the hind quarters . But I have seen a lot worst cases so she got some Rx from the vet.
As far as I know there isn’t a program to help low income people with there pet care. No I don’t think they should get a 100% care for there pets. But a discount and or vouchers

Now my other client Murphette is trying to get into low income apartment and she is having trouble.
They say it her credit but they won’t say what exactly the problem with her credit is.
I know one of her possibility problem is on some type of loan when her credit report came back it show that she didn’t make any payment and the bank had to write it off.
I saw the statement and seen she has been making the payments.
So I suggest she get hold of this bank and have them write out a letter saying that the payments have been received.
I also got her the phone # for legal aid.
Then I wrote her a letter and it goes like this.

Twice my friend Murphette applied for a low-income apartment in Bonners Ferry Idaho.
The apartment she applied was at Jenni Lane located at 6762 Wilson, Bonners Ferry Id 83805.
And she has been rejected both times, due to her credit but they won’t advise her exactly as to the problem with her credit.

The residential manger of the Jenni Lane apartment been a resident of our community for well over 20 years and was kind enough to help her fill out her second application.
Showing her what she needed to do by under line on her bank statement each of her payments to her credit cards.
Also he knew her personally and wrote a personal letter that he felt this would be a suitable resident.
I feel his effort had no or little effect on those who they choose to be at the Jenni Lane apartment complex.
My question why doesn’t the residential manger have any influence whom can and can’t be in the Jenni Lane.
Since he lived in this local area for well of 20 years.

I understand why landlords need to be careful whom they rent to.
Ms M is diligent with her low income of her disability check and has paid off her credit cards and the remaining ones are being paid on, and some months more then the required amounts.
Ms M doesn’t have any out standing debt that hasn’t been turn over to a collection agency or has any leans against her.
I strongly feel that she can make her rent each and every month.

One need not to look at the credit score and what one owes but if they’re faithful on getting out there payments.
Simple these people who apply at the Jenni Lane Apartment are low income and may not have top credit scores.
Those who decided who can and can’t get a low-income apartment needs to look at the bigger picture of each application they receive.

I also do personal care (homecare) for Ms M and at this time I believe a different living resident who greatly benefit her health both mental and physical.
Simply, at this time her housing is inadequate.

Sometime if only they would think a person as a individual not to clump everyone into some type of group.
People would be far more happy and healthy.
Plus give the tax payer more bang for there buck

I’ve never done this but I though I would give it a whirl and do “Thankful Thursday”
1. I’m thankful that my hubby does the housework as I’m out working.
2. I’m thankful we got in all of our firewood.
3. I’m thankful I could help Donna with her vet bill
4. I’m thankful I got chance to vote for our local fire commissioners
5. I’m thankful when I come home from work I get a friendly greeting from my pets and hubby.
6. I’m thankful that our income is high enough that we don’t qualify for energy
assistant
7. I’m thankful for the rain we got in October so now the ground got a good soaking.
8. I’m thankful that we had an extra set of 4 tires in the shed/barn for the pickup.
9. I’m thankful that I got the shelves clean in the hallway closet and gave some stuff to local thrift stores.

10. I’m thankful Murphy came up with and ideal for a buffet table for the dinning room.

One can head over to our host of Thankful Thursday and her name is Grace

Since I told you about the buffet table. Well it actual a dresser my parents had when I was younger.
No it doesn’t have swing doors but recently I saw a few people put there dishes in drawer and it worked great for them.
So I’ll also have room for things such as tablecloths.
