How Stupid Do You Think We Are.

I haven’t made up my mind who I will be voting for yet but I’m sure not favoring at this time is Romney or Giuliani
Romney is to much for the big business and Giuliani I’m afraid of loosing more of our civil rights.
Now for the other side coin (democrats) I’m tired of the pickering between Clinton and Obama
Those two sound like my sons when they were younger and bickering all the time over petty shit. I’m not in favor of Bill tactics and I bet someone from Obama team is playing dirty politics to against Clinton too.

When a candidates are asked a question I want detail answer of what there going to do. I don’t mind speech but from a speech I don’t need to hear what wrong with the persons who may be running against them. I want to know who they are, and their plans for the United States

Confession time…When I was young I want to invent or have a time machine so I could back in time and visit important or famous people of the past. As I got older I realizes how important every body it doesn’t matter if you’re a leader of some country, a big C.E.O of major company, if you win the Nobel Peace Prize we are all essential to our world.
I don’t come from a long line of wealth, leader of great nations, or any of the made covers of magazine.
But like thousand of others my family of many generation got up and work the farms, but in power lines, delivered goods by the rails, served our nation not as officers but as foot soldiers.

Our 16th president Abraham Lincoln said “ God most love the common man he made so many of them”

If it would be possible now I don’t believe I would want to meet anyone from the past who made it in our history book or been on the cover of magazine.
I actual would like to go back and interview my past relatives. I now have more respected for the common everyday person.
My great grand dad Duane was one of the guys who shot the 21-gun salute of President Lincoln grave.
His son Maurice died because of the San Francisco earthquake during the early 1900’s
My grandmother Olive during the Great Depression had a market cart and sold goods to buy her children school clothes.

My pass isn’t made up of well known famous people but if I could I would like to go back an interview them so I could know my down my roots deep down

My tackle projects been going on all during the past week and there no before or after pictures for this tackle
I decided to do some perjuring.
So I went over to random number picker and for a integer I put in a 100 and it came back with 69 and I start to go though my kitchen cabinets tossing things which needed to be toss in the trash, or give away pile.
Although I got though my kitchen cabinets and I got started on a small dresser that my microwave sits on and barley started on top drawer.
This was all on Wednesday.
I did the same thing but my number came back as 19.
Most of the things I toss were papers.
But one thing I stumbled upon is one of my genealogy fill about the “Shirley”

It Snowing So I Did....

LEMON BARS

This recipes, with its shortbread crust and tart, lemony filling. It a cross between a cookie and little pie

(for the crust)
1½ cups of sifted flour
½ cup sifted powder sugar
¾ cup (1½ sticks of butter) butter or margarine at room temperature.

(For the filling)
2 cups granulated sugar
¼ cup sifted flour
1-teaspoon baking powder
4 large eggs
1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
2 Tablespoon sifted powder sugar

To make the crust: Prepare the oven
to 350° F and butter a 13”X 9”X 2” baking pan> In a medium size bowl, mix the flour with the powder sugar, the work in the butter with your fingers until a dough forms. Press in the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes

Meanwhile, make the filling: Onto a piece of wax paper , sift granulated sugar, flour and baking flour. In a medium bowl whisk eggs, until thick, the blend in sugar mixture, the lemon juice, and rind. Spread over the hot crust and immediately return to the oven. Bake 25 minutes

Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then dust with the 2 tablespoon of powder sugar.

Cookies will store in an air tight container in refrigerator for up to one week. Do not freeze

This our back yard

As it snow and snow from Saturday evening until almost noon on Sunday we accumulate a good 6 inches of new snow.
As I was doing general house work Bart and Murphy was shoveling snow and running the snow blower.
I keep track of the weather and so far this year in 08 we have had 48 inches of snowfall this year.
Of course some of it melt and re snowed over again. By looking out side I would say we have two and half feet of snow in our back yard.

At times I’m rather shallow person Confession time…In lot ways I’m a material girl
But on the other hand I find delight in hearing beautiful sounds of music, people voices and the sounds of nature.
I love the smell of most things that god gave us. Ok I’m not keen on smell of skunk or some smelly plants. But I know there here for a reason.
I love to look at beauty and I see it all around me in everyday life.
Taste is wonderful!!! When it comes to foods and drink. Confession time…If food didn’t taste so good I wouldn’t be as fat as I am
Now let not forget “touch” oh how I love to touch many things that god/dess gave us.

Isn’t it wonderful how our senses gives us such delight in our wonderful world.
At times I should of listen, or even should try to see it from anther point of view. Then there times I simple been negligence or just didn’t want to…because I was bull headed, didn’t care, being self centered, controlling, lazy or etc.

But deep down I know I should be aware of our wonderful senses.

A short little personal true story. I was with this group and we were paired off and the assignment was one to put on the blindfold and the other person was to lead the other one around the park.
I recall being blindfold and there was this little running stream only and inch deep. Once I put on the blindfold the creek sound like a river flowing quickly over some boulders and there were some rolling hills though out the park and with the blindfold on the hills became steeper.
Once this person started to take me down the hill first thing came to my mind is how she/he was going to shovel me in the water.
My other sense kicked in more because I didn’t have my sense of sight plus some even over reacted.

Crazy Timing

Murphy been drawing unemployment and of course I been working and this is his waiting week before he gets his new claim. Which happens every year and during this time year the first week I pay Northern Lights (electricity) second week I pay the credit card, the third week I pay Verizon (Phone) and fourth week I pay Cabinet Mountain Water dist (Water)
Well here the thing I send in my time slip from work and it came back with out an explanation why but I talk to the lady who delivers our mail and she thought the machine that reads the mail read read my return address instead of the delivery address.
It just had to happen during Murphy waiting week.

To Many Are Caught in the Net of Poverty

I haven’t yet figure for sure whom I’ll be voting for President this time around. But I think Mitt Rommy would fit in a better position other then President of the United States. Such as in a cabinet post as
secretary of health and human services

Living in a state with high Mormon population one thing I do agree is there welfare program and how they help out each other in many accept of there life.
Honest time…I’m not expert on the Mormon religion or any faith but living around them I seen and heard how they better enrich each other life’s.
Opinion time…Our safe net for the most of the time entangles them in life of poverty
This is my ideal on how to better enrich a person who lives in poverty.
Let them have there regular benefit but each community will have a center that they could apply for directed help to better there life.
Anyone who needed an extra boast could apply for a special aid.

Let say a low income person car needs a basic tune up they could go in front of the community aid center and state there case in front of the community board members. Which everyone on the community will serve a 2-month period and will explain why they need the help and the board members will take a vote and any extra help will have to be approve by a 2/3 majorty.

I work with the low income people and most of them aren’t dirty people but there monthly income real don’t go far enough to take care of any unexpected things that happen in life

With a good secretary of health and human service that keeps it populace health both physical and mental poverty will decline

Confession time…I’ve seen a food box that the Mormons give out and have to say I was bit jealous I seen fresh meat, fresh veggies, fresh fruit, toilet paper, and etc

A person working at a minimum wage job in one hour they make $5.85, in 8 hours they make $46.80, in a week they make $234.00, in month they make $936 and in year they make $11,232 in a year. This is base at a 4o hour work week

I would have to say my hometown of Bonners Ferry. The part of Ferry is the problem their people who uses the term Ferry meaning of homosexual. But I would keep the part of Bonners be was the founder of our town and he had a ferry that went across the kootenai river here. I real don’t know what I change it to maybe to just plain “Bonners”

Just Small Steps

I haven’t written about ceramics or developing better health habits. I start to move some what back in that direction but haven’t took any major steps.

Well I start to walk again it hard now to find a place to walk every thing is like an ice skating rink.

Yesterday I was watching the Dr Phil show and there topic was people who there self in a compromising ways
I guess there are people who have items posted on different on line sources, who would post picture of them self in nude, drunk, or even high.
Ok I know only “fool, want to see their names in public place.” Ok I have to confession time…I posted some damaging info on my self
But I never use anyone real name but all is true what I post.

I like to take a different look what might be posted on different site. In today world with technology that someone could take a picture of you and posted. They might called it
"People who shops on Main Street"
"People and the corky habits in a dressing room."
And the list could go on and on.
Who know if your neighbors, which I mean the whole wide world at this moment couldn’t be posting something about you true or untrue that isn’t real flattering to your character.
honest time…I know I haven’t always posted flattery stuff about others on my blog
But I don’t think I’m the only one who posted or bad mouth others on my blog. Honest time…I don’t try to make it a on going thing but I’ve seen people sitting around bad mouthing others to anther person

I don’t see how anyone would find out if there posting any personal information on any place on the web unless they got a life time to do it anyhow and if they use fake names like I do.
So why loose sleep over someone else posting might have some dirt on you.

Head or Tail (letter c) + Tackle It Tuesday

This week is letter C and I thought I would post about “C” week.
Well for the Christmas I won a amazon on line gift card so I got my self a crock pot and made up some COLA BARBECUED RIBS
3 to 4 pounds of pork ribs
¼ Cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon of smoked salt (I didn’t have the smoked salt so I use liquid smoke)
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
½ Cup of Cola
1 and ½ Cup of barbeque sauce.
Place ribs in crock pot and pour Cola Barbecued sauce of ribs make sure everything is well mix bake on low for about 8 hours

After doing this recipe a song came to my mind Coke Cola Cowboy by Mel Tillis

Cowboy Cookie







1 cup shortening (recommended: Crisco) 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 2 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 (6-ounce) package chocolate chips 1/2 cup shredded coconut Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream the shortening, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and the vanilla and beat until well blended. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Add oats, nuts, chocolate chips and coconut, mix until combined. Spoon cookie mixture onto greased foil lined cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool.


Please note I didn’t have coconut or pecan which I used raisin and walnuts.

First all I want to apologies on the quality of picture and I got my containers put up and have know plans to pull them down until after Thanksgiving.



All of our Christmas Decorations was thrown in one box the ginger bread men on it.
When it came to decorate for the Holidays I had to sort though the boxes to find what I need which was mainly frustrating and I had the attitude “Heck with this” and never finished and I was not please with my outcome.
So I went to wal-mart and bought two totes

One of the totes I put in all of the lights and garland. Then the other totes I put in ornaments and the tree skirt.
Confession time…I could use anther tote of so so I could put in more of my holiday decoctions which I would display.

I’m one who likes a bargain



And I picked up some regular white lights for $1.00 and I also got some ice sickle lights for a $1.75
Then also I bought a roll of wrapping paper for a $1.00

I guess I haven’t yet found a religion that I could take hook line an sinker. I find comfort in all believes.

I find your spiritual quest should be full of love, peace, harmony, and warmth from the heart if you don’t have these in your spiritual life you should look deep into your own soul. But I listening is part of one spiritual quest.

Photo Hunt (Skinny)

Yesterday (Jan 10th) our nephew Sam and his son came up for a while and when they come up Sam son wants to play with the dominos.
Well I was trying to think of something to do with skinny and I only could think of skinny people both Murphy and I aren't skinny.
When the dominos was being stacked as towers and then it dawn on me "a Skinny tower"
Oh yes we even ended up playing a game of dominos and it was on the late side and my brain wasn't running.
