Weekend Photo Hunt (dark-fluffy)

I've been told be afraid of the dark. Because there things that go bump in the night. No it people like me who don't put things away as they need so they can go thump on the noggin.

So I turn off the light and turn on the flash and took picture of the hall way closet. I might get to it sometime. But I want to take care of the smaller bedroom and the barn/shed done this year.

I don't mind shovel snow when it fluffy but when it wet and heavy it brings out the cuss words.

So next weekend hunt looks like it going to be flat and twigs

First of all I never know what to call the people I do home-care for. Not sure to use the term client or friend.

Last week I posted about her trouble with food stamps but it got straighten out for her.

So for the rest of this month she will get about $45.00 then the next month which will be February I saw her statement that she is only getting $80 a month in food stamps.

The family gross income is about $1,100 a month.

Last time I heard about an electrical bill for her it was $190. Not going into any detail she could lower her electrical bill.

Her rent is $115 a month. So in the eyes of health and welfare she has left over in cash to purchase food $795

I know she has net flix and cable type of boob tube. I know health and welfare only considers the necessity of life.

Part of her trouble she need to slap her so call ex man off the tit. She took out a loan to re-due his house and got him all sort of fancy tools.

I never seen him contribute to the well being of the family.

She took the loans out when she was holding down a job and then no longer could work and had to go on disability.

Opinion time...I think she should look into debt forgiveness. I know there law to protect such people who had to go on to disability.

The last sign I saw for legal aid they come up on the 4^th Monday of every month. I know they do things related to disability.

They could give her more of straight answer. What the little I know is that it could be dangerous.

I know sometime soon that her daughter gets a disability check from her dad and she will be loosing her $271 a month. It long story it could be use for anther posting.

Well we never lived high on the hog. Most bosses I every had a need for there ego to be fed and I wouldn't play full force on feeding there egos.

So I learn really quick that if I didn't have a bunch of debt it was a lot easier to walk out of job. I've had one person try to hold debt thing over my head. So he did get up to the home plate and took a swing it was such a fast pitch that he went down to his knee a swinging.

I told him that you can't hold me prisoner to this job because of debt. I can walk off this job anytime I need to or want to.

In some way I don't understand why she grumbling about what she gets from the government. I was looking what they get.

There income for the house hold is $1,100

Our is only $1,000

Not sure who housing expensive is lower.

But they get $80 in food stamps

She has all of her medical needs picked up. I picked up 3 prescription for her recently. One of them was retail for $100.00

All of my medical which isn't that much but still it out of pocket.

I was trying to compare her income to mind in eyes of the people who determine what amount one would get food stamps.

Statement time....We can't receives food stamps because our worth is over $2,500. They don't count the first vehicle, and the home you live in.

We have over $2,500 in investments, and other properties.

But to eyes of food stamp people our income would be something like $759.00 a month.

I know they would let us take off

Electrical bill of $60.00 a month

Base Phone bill of $20.00 a month

Water bill of $41.00 a month

Gas bill of $20.00 a month.

Property taxes of $100.00

which comes to $241.00

But they won't let us take off any of these expenses

Internet hook up $10.00 a month

Long distant phone $15.00 a month

house and vehicle insurance $170.00 a month

self employment tax $60 a month.

So to cover everything else in life we have $469.00 including food.

Editor note...we told both of the boys as there where going though college that we would buy there vehicle insurance.

They been working and paying there own way though college. So we figure we can pay for there insurance. But we never have bought there vehicles for them.

I'm still working on improving my health. I been doing ok but I could always use some improvement. I have to say I been doing ok on my caffeine in take.

I order some pero and it didn't come in

My weigh in at T.O.P.S was a maintain. “I'll take it.”

Well almond milk was on sale at Safeway.

So I'm letting the ladies who is part of Get off your broom know about this weeks post.

I'm still trying to do Carla's No-Low Spend So here three items I purchase and the prices.

Silk Almond Milk ½ gallon at $2.29. I had coupon or it would have been regular $3.29

A doughnut at .69¢

Orange are .39¢ a pound and looks like hubby got about ½ dozen of them.

The last Saturday of this month we're having a mid-winter family get together over at my Aunt Eve's place. My Uncle Bob will be turning 80 around ground hog day.

But this isn't what I want to post. Actual I want to post about some people including relatives of mine. Has the attitude about coming from bad seeds.

There relatives of mine won't list them because it would be confusing. I have to many relatives.

It seem like Uncle Bob and his wife Aunt Maria and others are into shunning there niece Jane and also Jane daughter Alison.

Because there from the seeds of Uncle Mike and Aunt Joyce.

Uncle Mike was my mother's brother and I haven't heard one of siblings not make the statement some what like this “I want to beat the shit out of mommy little blue eyes sunny boy”

But it seems like Uncle Bob and Aunt Maria was some of the same course of action that my Grandmother Olive had to certain people.

My dad and my grandmother people who they didn't like they could be right down nasty to. My father I haven't yet figured out how he choice to be nasty to. But my grandmother was quite simple.

If your name had any simulates as in Alice, Cathy, Cynthia, Myra, Florence, Minnie or in name after her in laws.

But if you had the names of John, Charles, Shirley, or Ann your where just fine in her book. Even if your where right down a piece of shit. In her thinking “You got framed and bad rap”

But any name I didn't mention above, you're pretty much safe.

I could image my life with some type of pet (animals) . To me there part of family. So I'll take a few moment of your time to introduce them.

Daisy.. like to watch Murphy and I. Editor Note..I couldn't quite get the red eye out. Daisy isn't blind as her left eye might lead you to believe.

One morning Murphy said that sure was some sunrise and I thought it would fit today theme of bliss.

The Dog's Speldert On the Floor and Disna Gie a Cheep

One sure see others differently. I've blog about my anxiety attacks but my hubby doesn't see my anxiety

I guess his ideal of anxiety is “a person doesn't matter what goes on in their life their hair is always on fire”. But one time he told me “If a ship is sinking I would rather have you in charge you would be level headed and get everyone off” But most of the time I feel like a “basket case”

Sunday we as in Murphy, Quenella, and I went to the human right day. Idaho and anther state I think it Arizona doesn't use the term Martin Luther king day.

“So” Statement time...I actual like the term “Human Right Day”

Last year show was a lot better but this year show was nothing to sneeze about.

I like learning and I can't recall what this instrument but it came from Germany. Sound like bagpipe. Oh I did find out what it is called “herdie gerdie” One of the songs they sing and the song was about going to war for the kings shilling.

Our little town of Bonners Ferry had a black mayor. In the 1800's by the name of Cook.

On the day “Human Right Day” our local school try to fill 2 school bus for our local food bank. So I bought a few items to donate.

Brownie Mix...$1.45

Tuna...$1.79

Dish Soap...$2.49

Fruit Cocktail....99¢

Poptarts....$2.29

Soup....$2.29

Carrots....79¢

So all the stuff above came to $12.82. If your wondering how I came with this figure. Idaho charge sale tax on food.

Opinion time....It a burden on the real poor to pay sale tax on there food. I would rather see the sale tax remove from food. Increase the sale tax on non-food items.

Some may disagree with removing sale tax from food on these grounds “The food stamps (EBT) card one doesn't pay sale tax”

But to even quilter for food stamps one needs to be in such dire poverty.

So Monday I went and help Murphette out. There some trouble with her food stamps (EBT) I saw the letter and can't recall the amount exactly. But she is to get about $179 or $279 a month in food stamp benefits.

But for some reason they haven't been credit to her food stamp (EBT) card.

But got must of her Christmas items down now. Plus went and got her medication which was $4.40. She has medicaid to help pay for it. I couldn't afford her medication.

Plus her tabaco and cigarettes tubes.

Opinion time...This bother me about home care and personal care...That it's ok for them to continue on with there habits that are destructive.

As I said in one of my past blogs sitting mini goals

So not thinking. I went into our local food bank to get Murphette a food box but it was close for “Human right day” but that's ok. I went in Tuesday and got them a box of food. I didn't dig though her box but it looks like a pretty round it box of food.

But our local food bank one is only aloud to get a food box 3 or 4 times a year. I know one can go in weekly to get from what they call salvaging. Which it depends what can be found though out the community and one helps them self. Oh there time they might post a sign something like this “2 bread items, 1 gallon of milk, and 3 dairy items”

But the one that is ran by the Mount Hall Community Church. I heard there able to give a food box once a month out.

Then on Tuesday I went in for T.O.P.S and I gain ¾ a pound. Well snow never came in November or December but now it's making a showing. So I had to bundle up more.

That the news for health wise.

I got my blood pressure numbers in a decent range. I haven't been walking as much but some how I mange to get down to end of the road.

I been trying to just buy practical items. A few prices from a local area.

Barley flakes...there a $1.25 and I got 1.54 pounds which came to $1.93

loaf of Seattle sourdough bread...$2.49

Regular gas is still...$3.19 a gallon.

So I try to check in with No-Low Spend or get off your broom

I ran Qunella around today. We went to quite a few place really to many to mention. But we stop at her neighbor and there not going to say anything but I came to conclusion that they where a little uncomfortable around her. Statement time...Qunella is a little different then most people. I think that ok it makes life interesting.

She went down to ask to let her use there computer so she can do some typing on her web site. They didn't come out and say yes or no.

So I offer to do her typing and she going to pay me $10 an hour. I've seen Quenella type and I know I can type a lot faster then her.

She took me to Bread Basket got me cup of coffee and fry pie she had Marion berry and I had Peach.

Plus I got my Barley Flakes at Sharons country store which is right there.

It seem strange but not here in North Idaho. One day there was no snow to speak of but look at it now.

But not long ago I saw these birds munching on a apple tree with tiny crab apples.

Weekend Photo Hunt (circular and joy)

I though I would have to take a picture of a circular saw. But when I was going out and cleaning out the barn/shed I notice the end of the firewood tips where circular shape.

I can't say how often we miss measures when we cut the firewood. So Murphy has to trim them up so they'll fit in the wood stove.

But I like to use these circular pieces to put my coffee on.

There a good pieces to use when you need to start a fire.

Before 1968 if any one every said “Joy to world” one would thinking of the Christmas carol. But I can recall the day I first learn about the song about “Jeremiah was a bullfrog”.

It had to be a warm day in 1968 so I would have been in middle years of elementary education, third or fourth grade.

I only lived two and half blocks from Broadway elementary school. So there were other who lived farther from the school and I would join them when they came to corner of Piece and Cataldo.

Stated are daily journey to school.

The reason I said it had to be warm day. I had no leotards on but in those days girls whore dresses.

When I met up with my fellow school chums. They where singing this song about a “bull frog” and I thought it was real cool song.

I got the whole scoop on song of Joy to World. You know in those days your peers knew more about what your parents every thought was possible.

Well I would guess I never learn much on that day as far as school went. But I did learn the Three dog night song of Joy to World.

I couldn't wait to I go home and share this song with my mom. Confession time...I never felt comfortable sharing certain things with my father.

He seem judge mental with me and critical.

But there been very few times in my life I could recall having a deep conversation with.

Cold here. It seem strange to have this type of cold with out any snow. But a least I can still go out and work on the shed/barn.

A total of 3 shelves done. Those shelves I got done I can really see the difference in.

The next two shelves coming up. It will take two people to do. One will have to be on a latter and the other one on the ground.

But I'll wait a few days. Murphy is stopping smoking pot. A couple of reason it irritates his lymph in his neck. Plus he feels guilty using my money.

He mention what more there to life. “Religion and guns” Neither one of our big gun fans. We do have a few guns in the home. Neither one of us our into dogma of religion. I'm one who more into spiritual side of life. I look at my self as “agnostic spiritual”

Well for the ceramics I'm still clawing at it. I pulled down an old Mrs. Clause I started to paint some time in the pass.

I figure firing off the old paint and starting from fresh would be the best way to go.

I thought I would like to do up some plant tenders up. People who has house plants would be a little zing but. Statement time...I'm not organize enough to be doing that line in ceramic paints. I'm a lot better just to keep to piece that only use acrylics at this time.

Confession time...If I add anther line to my ceramics at this time it would just be a plain crazy stunt. Which would only over whelm me.

It easier to pay the bills on weekly thing the only bill we need to pay is the local land line which is $17.36.

Then our long distances bill from Credo was $13.00

Right now the have cabbage both red and green on sale at Harvest foods. At .49¢ a pound.

But I have to Confession time...I'm not looking forward from the lab work bill.

I was eating dinner and listening to NBC evening news and they said “Most American don't have enough to retire on” So they used the AARP Calulator One can't predict inflation and things like that.

So by there calculation hubby and I don't have to cut back until are mid 80's . We can continue this life style.

Opinion time... they really don't ask enough question to make fair analysis. We don't live high on the hog. Are monthly utilities are under $200 month, own our place, insurances not medical runs in a year $2,000, and property taxes about $1,200 a year.

One can't predict certain things in life such as maintenance and oh shit I forgot stuff.

I'm still cutting back on my caffeine intake. The stage I'm at is I have my morning coffee. Then every 6 hours I have some coffee.

I don't have any coffee after six in the evening.

As for walking well I'm still at it.

When Murphette was in for her appointment I walk down to end of the road which my Uncle Mike and Aunt Joyce use to live on.

The house is gone. So is the neighbors home is also gone. It sure change the look of the neighborhood.

Plus got a letter written. I don't know what it is but it a good feeling to receive a letter the way of snail mail.

As for other walking I like to increase it our neighborhood. The weather been cold. So I do mange to almost on daily get to walk to end of our road which then you would be on pleasant valley loop

The cat's Singin Grey Thrums To The Sleepin Hen

Mid week is here. Let just say my brain is just plain isn't right. I don't know if it every was. I just plain wish it would settle back down. But I don't want or need a brain that sound asleep either.

Not sure what some head shrink would say. But I like the way I explain it...”No fancy medical terms”

Confession time...At time I do feel normal for what that is worth.

I sat up some goals Let say I'm surely not busting to get though it but so far it coming along nicely. If I have a day off or I'm not physical or a mental mess.

I've been cleaning one shelf at time in the barn/shed. So far there two shelves done.

There just plain trash that gets hauled to dump.

I decide to haul out everything and empty out every box. My goal is to Tithe 10% or more of thing out of that shed. Not to be transfer to anther place around the place.

Not sure at the tail end how much stuff will be going to yard sale.

On the yard sale it depends how much stuff will be there. If there not enough stuff for me to hold a yard sale at our place.

Someone in town will have one. I'm sure I can add my stuff to it.

What doesn't sell it going to a thrift store.

I've been participating in No-Low Spend over at Half of Dozen Daily. As far as I can see I only purchase what is necessity in life.

I hadn't planning for the microwave to go out.

I hadn't plan for a blood draw at the doctor office either. They want to check my elector-lights.

But here a few prices for things in my area.

Gas is $3.19(2.50EU 2.06 GP) a gallon. I drive a Toyota tercell and it gets really good mileage.

But still it cost $29.24(22.98EU 18.95GP). I've took $30(23.58EU 19.44GP) out of checking.

Bag of Orange not sure of the weight is $1.99(1.56EU 1.28GP)

2 liters bottle of Ginger ale is .99¢(.77EU .64GP) sense I live short distant from British Columbia that pop would cost about $1.01 in Canadian dollar.

I thought I was going to take Murphette and her gang to wall mart and she broke. Some how there was some trouble with her food stamp card (EBT) So she spend all of her cash on food.

Confession time...I'm sorry things didn't work out for Murphette but honestly I didn't want to go down to wall mart in Sandpoint.

So I ordered a 1250 watt microwave though amazon for $117.

As for the ceramics I been just barely scratching the surfaces. I bitch and gripe about how the home-care stuff is ran.

But actual I feel pulled so many ways when it comes to my ceramic goals.

Statement time...At this time I know there a little chance us making a living at ceramics.

But I look at it and Murphy looks at the same way. Go to a local market of some type. Sale a few items. Pick up few items one would need or wanted for the place. I'm not talking about a vehicle but more like an oil change or some type of costume jewelry.

Confession time.... I feel frustrated that I'm limited to casting certain things at this time.

Do to lack of commercial rubber bands. Rubber bands are use to hold the mold together. But with some minor research and guess I would need to ruffly purchase $500 worth.

It would be a little less. We use old tire tubes for large pieces. confession time...I don't feel comfortable taking that kind of money out saving all at one time.

But I would feel comfortable taking out $40. Then banding up a few molds. Statement time...a large majority of molds are kept together. It not like one half of mold is some place else.

As for the weight I don't know what I want to weigh but I know I don't want or need to weigh this.

Tuesday the 10^th of January I weight in at 216 pounds and before that I was at 218. A 2 pound lost for the week.

I'm five foot..six inches. So I'm not short at all.

I would classify my self as medium bone.

People looks at my boobs then classify me as large bones.

If I put on large blouse I can button it but it so sloppy in the shoulders. At times it would fit like a Green Bay Packer line man uniform

Then if I put on medium size blouse I can't button it but it fits everywhere else.

“Oh so frustrating”

Before resent time Murphy never walked with me. So last Sunday we walked around the neighborhood.

I took the camera on the way back we walk pass our drive way and I got this picture looking East.

So Monday I started work later in the day. Someone in my T.O.P.S group had a good suggestion go for a walk in different area.

So Murphy and I try to head out to some place different then our own neighborhood.

We went out to the game reserve and walk what is called “deep creek trail”. Some one built a memorial bench along the trial. Which the above picture was taken from.

We also thought it was good place to head back.

It sure looks more like winter out there then at home.

Saw more birds on this trip then our last visit.

I'm sort of, the reason I use sort of is I have no true commitment to any thing on a blog or other place on world wide web. But when every I'll be checking in at get off your broom which is a about improving one health.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Bling and Tree Branches)

Bling to me all most sound like you want to cuss and swear. But in present company it wouldn't be a wise move, even if you have a mouth full of “shit”

But I found out Bling is something BIG and outstanding.

Well we had a great place to shop everyone called B.T.C the dirty rats left and Safeway came in. Well I haven't heard anyone giving Safeway high marks.

But right now there putting in a store called super1foods it might not look or sound like much but here it bling. Opening date is sometime in June actual there coming right a long. A least at this point the workers don't have to fight with the snow.

Recently Quenella friend of our had her place logged. I believe she own a little over 5 acres and if I'm not mistaking they took out five truck loads of logs.

This is what they call a slash pile. It has odds and ends in like left over logs that couldn't be market, tree branches

There always been debates how things should be logged around here. There always been a rife between the people in lumber business and the environmentalist.

In a nut shell both are wrong and right that's my take on it. But it like congress they won't budge and inch.

Well later in season the pile will get burn usual it burn in October or later. But before that Murphy will cut some firewood out of it and so she'll have her winter wood or least some of it.

Lot depends on the weather when they'll burn it but I hope the following year or so they'll have some morel mushrooms.

I might as well get this right out in the open. Tuesday was our first weigh in at T.O.P.S This year we got to look at our sheets mine didn't look good. My weigh in is at 218 (98.2kilograms). But this is first year they actual let us look at our recordings. Statement time...I think it a good walk up call to see our own weight.

I learn one thing at TOPS. Not to over whelm your self. So part of my general goals

of 2012 is to keep it simple. But for my health I sat this goals....Well for health goal is start some simple health habits...drink water, walk and keep a health journal

Around about way I found a get in shape and I'm not talking round, square shapes. But being in good health so head on over to get off your broom and I don't know if it to late or not to sign up

So hubby and I been doing some walking. I never could get him to walk around the neighborhood with me. But he is.

There are times we will go some place and walk.

Well last Tuesday the 3^rd we went over to what used to be Les place. Walk on the river dike road toward town. I only had about ½ hour walking time. I was heading off to work.

Tuesdays later in day I believe around three o clock our neighbors out buildings burn to the ground. I believe he lost lot of his toys.

So I stared work later on Wednesday so Murphy and I walk over and see the damage. Well it was the place he kept all of his toys. Murphy pointed out the tractor to me and yes it was burned.

He been a good neighbor and I feel bad for the guy.

Philosophy time...People who locks and has all sort of bells and whistle run there place....I'm wonder what kind of criminal activity is going on.

His shed is wide open and it would be easy enough to back up and take the stuff.

So as careless on security he was it good sign to me his stuff wasn't stolen.

I been having trouble with my blood pressure and recently having attacks of anxiety. Feeling over whelm. I don't sleep right I fill tired when I go to bed and then don't fall asleep. Then I'll wake up between 2 and 3 in the morning go to the bathroom but can't go back to asleep.

I'll get some thought into my head and it just won't let go of it. I have no ideal why or where this thoughts come from.

They been giving me a feeling of uneasiness.

Let me tell you there just to many to list and actual they cover every about every subject one could even thing of.

I would almost called it some kind of brain restlessness. I'm having trouble keeping my brain calm

It does go way. Then once again it appears out of the thin blue air.

Statement time...I'm having the same feeling when I was working for Donna.

She became more and more demanding...Opinion time...she only had a care giver for about 16 hours a week and she thought she need one for a 40 hour week and sense she didn't get one for 40 hour week she demand you to put in a 40 hour week in a 16 hour period.

Good I walk out of there a good 6 months ago.

As a person she actual a real kind person as a friend but to work for it complete different story.

I was going to tell you about this lady who running in our state dist. I can't find her on internet to me she one those crazies. But it could be good post for later on.

Hubby and I been looking at garden seeds. Going though the catalogs and inventorying what we have and need.

I would like to put in an asparagus bed. To what I've heard deer don't care about asparagus so that can go on out side of the garden fence.

So after this is all done I'm stop in at Liquor story and getting bottle. My guess it will be brandy. I like hot chocolate and brandy. But who know what I'll actual get.

Well Murphy and I went out to the game reserve for a walk. He want me to take a picture of sign that he thought it said “Blind hunters” well as you can see it doesn't but still I think they could of done a better job of it. It took me a few minutes to see what it said.

Out by this big old cottonwood tree I found this old Car frame which some trees where growing up in it. I have no ideal what kind of rig it was or it could be some other type of rig. I believe it would have been the left front side the rims had the letter “B D” on it

The Holidays Are Over

Holidays are over.

Yes, I'm going to political correct.

I enjoy the holidays. But I'm glad they are over and only come once a year.

I had to keep reminding my self that my boys where ok. I was a little depress that they didn't make it up for Christmas Eve or day.

In general our family gift exchange...Murphy end up with Ginger Bread House kit and I end up with wax heater to make the room smell nice...The scent I got was chocolate mint and butterscotch.

This year I notice that value of gift was down in value. But that doesn't surprise me at. Look at our economy.

But it seem like Demmi was to criticized gifts and I don't see anything fantastic things she did or brought.

This might sound a little strange. Actual what gave me the most joy during the holiday was cooking Christmas Morning Breakfast for all 14 people.

My in-laws runs a bed and breakfast So they're always busy doing breakfast lot of the time.

Well Murphy and I serve waffles, fruit which consist of strawberries, huckleberries, and pineapple, did up some links and patti sausage, and scrambled eggs.

Yes even whip cream for the waffles.

For my in-law actual to enjoy there children and grand-kids for a few moments brought my mood up a few notches.

Christmas day dinner was handle by my in-laws.

Well Murphette family got us a mug with snowflakes on it and worthes hard candy stuck in the mug. They also made us some homemade cookies.

I was surprise they where all happy what they got. Before Christmas they where bitch about how little they where going to get.

I was about ready to tell them about a lady I know and her situation....and little she could give and she was glad to give.

I was in Harvest foods during the holidays doing a little shopping and this one lady who I know said money was so bad for them. That she got her children toilet paper. But I believe she got her 8 grand-kids something or least she made it sound that way.

Well the Twenty ninth of December we went to see our sons. There living in one of Sam and Amy out building. It been made into a nice little pad. Bart girl friend Maggie was up visiting from the Portland Oregon. She is in her senior year and her major is communication.

We didn't get a chance to see Sawyer girl friend Kate she was at work.

But it seems like both of my son has really nice girl friends.

So they got Murphy a fire estingure. Then I got some hair shampoo and conditioning with a soy candle. Kate works in a hair salon called Dimension Salon Plus Sawyer dog Boo got Daisy a toy to play with. But I can't find it.

Both of us are happy with our gifts.

New Year eve we celebrate like old farts. But before that I went up and visit my friend Quenella. We just talked about life. I gave her my two ideal I thought it would help her

web site Which might give her a slight boost.

Opinion time...she has a long ways to go to get her business going.

She recently had her place logged and I want a picture of her slash pile. I'll be using it for next weekend photo hunt shot.

So I had glass of home made elderberry wine that Quenella gave us. She not much on elderberry wine. But before her husband Micheal pass away they made a lot of it.

For new year eve I got into wine that Quenella gave us. So it was simple evening listening to re-talk of Art Bell and Coast_to_Coast_AM

both Murphy and I call it ghost to ghost. Nothing on TV tonight as usual.

So for New Year day. Murphy and I went out to the game reserve to take a walk. Statement time...I should be walking on a daily routine pretty well.

I'm still having trouble with anxiety. Plus my blood pressure and pulse is little high, nothing dangerous.

I found this frame of what looks like an old car. Trees are growing up in it. On the wheel it was the letters B-D.

So for dinner we had fried Chicken. Safeway had them for .99¢ a pound. I think we got wise. A whole chicken is to much for us now. So Murphy cut up and we're only frying up ½ of it. Stuck the other ½ in the freezer

I went of to my Aunt Eve and to see about the McCalmant Family reunion over at Pot Hole state park in Washington. It doesn't look like a bad place to me.

I have to say I'm more interested in explore the area around there. Mostly the lava beds.

So Glad I Haven't Gone Back

Really I'm not all that cheap in life!!! Confession time....I'm afraid getting anther client that just drives me bonkers to the point I need to be put in a straight jacket .

I've post about how Donna stressed me out.

Even there been time I thought I was heading toward a nerves break down.

Yes...Hubby and I where clearing $3000 (2,314 EU 1,932 BP) a month.

I was so stress out from her. That there was no way on this green grass I could spent anything. If I need simplest things of life I would send my hubby to get it.

Statement time....To visit Donna and do thing with her is complete different working for her.

I would come home and from her grab some beer or what every I could find to medicate my self even smoked pot.

Confession time.. At that time I wished they would called me in for a piss test. The odds I would flunked back then. I think I would done cart wheels all the way there and all they home.

Plus played farmville.

I had no life when I worked for Donna. We may be low on funds but life is much better all the way around..

Toward the end I even a few times thought of hurting my self so I could get disability. So I get out of work.

So one day she just pushed and I got my self and walk out and new I couldn't every go back and be her care giver.

There was plenty of money save up and we where going to live on it as long as possible.

After that experience I'm in no hurry to look for anther client.

Murphette the one I have now drives me nuts to but she only has 8 ½ hours a week. She planning to move to a

warmer climate around I believe is Bakersfield California.

I complete understand why she want to go to warmer climate.

But I don't give it much odds she will be leaving like she plans to, but who knows.

My other client Faith hasn't drove me nuts yet

It depends on some factors if and when Murphette moves or not. If I'll look for anther client to take care of not.

In nut shell I would come home from Donna,so stressed out and I would medicate my self so I could recover and went back and did the same thing the following day.

Editor Note....There lot worst client then Donna I could tell you all sorts of horror stories of people who has care giver that comes in your home.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Drinks and Gathered)

Usual by this time of the year I pick up a bottle of booze to drink. But money being tight I didn't get anything.

So it was after Christmas I notice the eggnog was mark down it was just under $2.00 (1.54EU 1.28BP) for ½ gallon (1.89 liters)

But if I was to put any booze in the eggnog it would have been rum or brandy.

I kept the gifts that was going to my in-law gathered in one pile. For Christmas eve dinner party.

So for the next week hunt and it will be the first one for 2012. To start the photo hunting season out the challenge is to find Bling I'll need dictionary for this one. Then other one will be Tree Branch I got something already figure out for this one.

Well it starts tomorrow, 2012 and ½ dozen is having a No Spend Challenge It would be great she had a no-eat junk food month...”Oh I know I would be detox heavy and going crazy” ...”I got off subject sorry about that”

I'm staying out of these stores in month of January....Wal-mart....Thrift store....no driving to Sandpoint...I won't be going to any rummage sells like they have them this time of year up in North Idaho.

The only place I will venture into is a place that sales food and necessity of life such as toilet paper.

Daisy, Rosie, and Ziggy pet food.

I know my electrical, phone, water, and natural gas is always under $200 a month.

But I'm clueless what we spend of food.

I can see this challenge will be good thing not to add any more stuff to what I already have.

Both hubby and I don't live in squalor conditions but it getting tight of things in shed/barn. This will be a good chance to start to clean it out...not add anymore stuff.

Prediction For 2012

Once again I'm going to do my prediction for 2012. I've done this for ages on this blog of mine. Confession time...I got a real crappy out come. I haven't hit the nail on the head. Although I've been some-what close...barely.

There will be a food give away here in United States...but it will be on news not because of giving way food. It will be on who handling it.
Iran borders will be move into part of Iraq
Must world currency will be on the down side (some deflation).
The Chinese won will be down in late spring early summer (May and June)
Privatizing more things and service will be the big push in government.
A larger divide between the haves and haves not.
The new count for congress will be 225 Republican and 209 Democrats.
Obama will get elected for his second term.
Ground beef in July will majorly fall in price to under $2.00 a pound
Gas companies will be forced to give there profits from their sell of lottery gas tickets.
More people will be involved with there local charity or communities (actual socialize will be up)
There will be a new hit songs out for the holidays or seasons celebration.

Goals for 2012

As for 2012 goals go....I know I need to down size I got way to much stuff. So I though dispersing 10% of our stuff around here. Hopefully more.

I would still like to turn the smaller bed room into a office/craft room I would get it clean out and it seem like it becomes a catch all room. What every just toss it in there...Both Murphy and I are guilty of it.

The first two area I think should be hit hard and get rid of 10% of the stuff or even more is the shed/barn. Also the shed out on the bench.

I know I should be looking for more hours of work. Confession time...I have real attitude about working...in the home care line. It's such a joke...one thing I do yearly is send a letter off to my elective officials...well here is a link to letter I send out this year.

I need to fine anther line of work or to increase the income. I know Hubby will go back to tree nursery but that is slagging also. He is old man out there most the workers are under 40.

I know things in the economy is tight. But I don't have much to invest for a ceramic business. But there two small area I would like to work towards sells. One is be able to take some finish ceramic pieces to the local farmer market in Bonners Ferry. Every other weekend starting last Saturday in April. It last til the first part of September

Then also try to get an esty page and see if a few ceramic pieces sell that way.

But I need to organize my molds and inventory. To see what I need things such as stoppers for salt and pepper shakers.

Well for health goal is start some simple health habits...drink water, walk and keep a health journal

Now for the garden plant and asparagus bed. Murphy would like to put in a greenhouse and I would like to put in a compost bin One will see who gets there way...Confession time...I'm surely not going to make a stink over it.

I don't want to add a new flower bed yet.

Now for money except we are not in debt. I though every bill of money I get with serial number ending in 12 I would stick in jar and see how it will grow.

I'm thinking of using this money for some needy family for Christmas 2012.

Slowly I been trying to get my blog print off in book format and I thought of any bill with serial number have 4-7's

Not sure how much money I will have save up

Find 5 pieces of ceramics finish them up...market them and the sell will going...One finish piece profits will be going to community action center which is our food bank. At this point I believe a person can only get a food box here 3 or 4 times a year.

I like to see that increase....One can go in more often for salvaging for what every usual it dairy, bread and few odds and ends.

But the salvaging program here is feast or famine.

Second finish piece would go to our local animal thrift store.

Third to the fifth piece will be use to pay it forward for local people.

I think this are reasonable goals that can be obtained.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Lights and Surprise)

For years we cut our own tree off our property up by the three mile area. Confession time...I have to say some years the trees where better then other years.

But this year we got nice tree, grand fir. One from nature sometime the ones out wood isn't prefect. Just like we all our including me.

I thought it would be interesting taking a picture of lights reflecting in the front window.

Then I went outside and took picture at dusk looking back though our front window.

One morning my son Sawyer was out and not even sure the reason why. He found this sickly abandon little kitty.

For some reason he was drawn to it. Pick it up and took it to some local Vet in Spokane and paid it's vet bill.

Actual this doesn't surprise me at all. Both of my sons our kind heart people but it doesn't mean they will let someone walk all over them.

2012 Letter To My Elective Officials

Once a year I try to send a letter out to my elected officials. With all going on and the grid lock between the political party.

I like take a bit of your time to write to you on “home-care” which is part of medicaid-health and welfare. I'm only pick 3 area that should be put out on the table.

Medical Appointment
Over time for those projects
Remaining on healthy or developing health habits

I have first to say the medicaid nurses who comes out and does the interview with the client actual is pretty right on with hours the clients needs.

1. But when it comes to medical appointment I've taken client to a medical appointment and the medical persons is running late for some reason.

Or they send us off for some test.

Then there are time our assign hours are done and we're working off the clock and not getting our hourly wage. In simple term we're being force to work off the clock

If we're out of the area and our assign hours our use up. One couldn't just leave a handicap or disable person stranded.

My suggestion would be...Have a simple form that someone at each medical place sign the arrival and departure time.

Then send it in with our regular progress note and time slips.

I would guess each month do to medical appointments I'll be 1 to 6 hours a month over my a assign hours. After the assigned hours we're not getting paid.

2. I have to say the medicaid-nurse who interviews the clients are pretty right on for a fair amount of time given per clients needs.

But it wouldn't hurt or be helpful if there was way to have a little extra time for those extra project. I think 1 to 12 hours a year. Client could apply to medicaid for certain extra project like washing walls, shampooing carpets, taking there pet to the vet, clean out a closet, extra shopping and getting ready for different holidays.

The client would have the optional on how he or she see fit to use these hours...They could be use up in one day or spread out though the year.

3. This here is hardest one I believe “Remaining on healthy or developing healthy habits”or should we say having better choices in one life.

I like to give you a brief picture when a possible clients sends me to the store...A shopping list may consist something like this. Box of rocky road ice cream, 2 cases of diet lime flavor of coke, 3 bags of doritos, 2 pounds of ground beef, pkg of hot dogs, philly cheese hot pockets, dozen doughnuts, 6 apples, head lettuce, gallon of milk, case water, carton of cigarettes, and a 6 pack of beer.

First of all everything except the beer, cigarettes and lottery tickets can be bought with food stamps or on ebt food card. The other stuff can be taken off the cash side of there ebt card.

I don't want to sound like I have no emphatic for these people or letting them have a few pleasure in life.

But there is plenty who could improve.

I would suggest the client and those around he or she to set mini goals. To be complete in 3 months or if they don't complete over 75% of set goal. If they don't met it....start cutting there benefits back to zero. If they met there goal let say cut there care only be cut 15 minutes at a time.

And or give them something a little extra such a little extra on the quest card , gift certificate or even cash

Every 3 months a new goal will be sat and client must keep all past goal that been set.

Last of all those who change and start living a healthy life and is still disabled or handicap can be guarantee a care-giver for 8 hours a week.

I heard on National Public Radio that we are classify as companion workers and thought there should be no time limits

It true we as care-giver work very hard and the three area above would improve the quality of care for those who needs it.

As worker in home-care field I like you to consider things I mention above.

Tuesday Outting.

Tuesday the 20^th of December both Murphy and I where out.

Well first Murphy was attending a meeting about the expansion of the airport here in Bonners Ferry. First of all we have some property close to airport that could be effected. But who it will mainly effect is Murphy Aunt Shirley and Uncle Harvey.

As for the expansion on Airport it was quickly table.

There will be anther meeting the 23^rd or so of January.

But what he gathered at meeting that their more interested in the run-way to the south end of the airport.

We are some what effected by the North end run away of the airport.

But the thing there interested is moving highway 2 right though the middle of area property. But with the economy and budget it sure not going to happen the next few days.(years)

Plus we have a shed out there with some stuff in it.

Statement time...We got to much stuff and need to go though the sheds and get rid of the stuff.

Either sale it some how or give it away. Anther thing some of the boys stuff is still here like the wooden blocks when they where little rug rats

So I went and drove Faith around she just had her birthday the 15^th and she just turn 89. But Murphy drove and help our friend Quenella.

After Quenella was done shopping and Murphy was home. Soon Quenella was calling. So her and I chat for about 15 minutes or so.

She was sticker shocked on how much it cost to ship her packages over to western Washington...$50.

She like me. Who never balance a check.

Also has money at the end of the month.

In lot of ways Quenella is strange and I guess we all have our strangeness about us. But her heart and spirit is in the right place.

With her small income she finds ways to help out people in need. I know she helps a few people in there Christmas needs. I know every month she sends some money to heifer international and .smile train

Then there was some veterans group but I don't recall which one.

I don't know why I like people who is little different and not afraid to go against the grain of salt

Are the Weans In Their Bed, For It's Now Ten o' Clock

Sunday the 18^th Murphy and I went out an about. First we stop over at Murphette to deliver her Christmas present. Her daughter Annie was there and was intrigue with the size of the package.

Well due to the size, measurement of the gift I'm giving to Murphette. I combine mine with hers. She asked me to wrap her gifts she bought for her self. So in the long run of things it was easier to combine mine and her gift together.

I told her Annie that I play fair and don't play favor over one person over anther. I don't think she knows her gift is already delivered to there home. I sign the card “Santa Reindeer”

Pete (Harold) my father and my grandmother Olive on my mom side played favor with people. Opinion time...I find it totally disgusting.

So I try to be fair. Not saying it always comes out that way.

Murphette let me barrow some of her refill ink. I'm out of ink and waiting for some to arrive. Then we left.

Headed toward the old sawmill and ambush rock area looked around. Nothing in particular. Just looking around for the odd find.

Then we went a little farther out and took a short walk out on the game reserve. Good lord the starlings and the Canadian geese where sure noisy.

It actual not a place for one who want to get into some deep thinking mode.

Didn't see much.

Then after we stop in at Faith Murphy sister. She was wondering if the boys where coming up for the holiday. I was pretty sure Bart was. But at that time I wasn't sure what sort of plans that Sawyer and his girl friend had.

Well I got hold of Sawyer and he wasn't sure what their plan are.

I knew Bart was heading over to Portland Oregon to see his girl friend. As I was talking to Sawyer I found out Bart transmission went out in his car.

So at this time I'm not sure if either one of my sons will be up for Christmas. There not little kids. So if there present a little late, oh well. Both of them are pretty sensible.

After stopping at Harvest food to get a few items. Came home and I tried that ink to refill my cartage. Well no luck on that. Hope the ink comes in before like yesterday.

Can't say I was looking forward in applying for energy assistance. Not because we're asking for help. Most year we don't qualify. I know it been a good 10 years or longer since we applied.

It the manger of the energy place. Her husband and my husband had altercation at work. There still bitterness between them.

One may ask “what does this have to do with you getting energy assistance”

Some time she treats me ok then other time she treats me not ok. I wouldn't use the word “shitty”. As I see it she really don't know how to treat me. She between a rock and hard spot.

Well it went ok.

I thought it was longer then 10 years ago. Last time we got energy assistance was back in 2005 and both sons here in high school.

Well our energy assistance was $373 which will be credit to our electrical company. I figure that should last us 4 to 6 months.

Our Northern lights which is our electrical company. The electrical bill usual runs us something in forty dollar range into the seventy dollar range.

I just starting to think a little bit about 2012 now. But not putting much brain cells in it.

Weekend Photo Hunt (Joy & natural)

Didn't put much brain cell in coming up with who “photo hunt” I was going to post. I'm going to use an alphabetize by themes.

Weekend photo hunt theme is “Joy” and “Natural”

I like are “Morning Coffee” The time I spend with my husband and our first cup of coffee. This simple thing in my life gives me a lot of “Joy”

usual we don't have a treat like this...but a little later on we heated up some “ginger bread” I made. Which was joyfully good and both hubby and I enjoyed every little bit..So “I'm sharing this recipe with you”

Yule Ginger Bread

From: The Good Witches Farm House Kitchen

¾ cup sugar

1 cup molasses

½ cup of butter

3 cups of flour

1 cup milk

2 tsp ginger

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

¼ tsp nutmeg

2 eggs well beaten

1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in ¼ cup of boiling water

Cream the butter, sugar, eggs, and molasses...mix well.

Stir the flour and spices and add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.

Stir in the dissolved baking soda. Pour into well greased cake pan and bake at 350° (176)

for 30 minutes.

Editor note...I found out this cake wasn't done in 30 minute but closer to 45 minutes.

I still sat the timer for 30 minute and checked about every 5 minute.

Light now is shortly in the sky. We who live on Northern part of world is lacking natural light. The sun comes up so late in the morning, right around 8. Then pretty much heading down on the other side of earth, close to 3:30 in the afternoon

So it been hard to get the time when the sun set.

For years I been keeping a personal almanac of weather related stuff.

Next weekend photo hunt picture will in some strange or factual will consist of surprise and light

But now I want to thank both our hostess Gatina and Sandi. If anyone want to check out any picture who is part of a photo hunt click on surprise or light.

Been slowly putting Christmas together. I've heard on the news this year the average Christmas shopper spent right around $700(452 P)(537 E) I don't know if there bragging, complaining or trying to make one feel guilty not spending like that.

Well looks like Murphy and I spend right around $200(129 P)(153 E) The cheapest present is the coloring book and crayons which my two great grand nephews will each get one. There both in 1^st grade.

The most expensive gift well I can't recall if it a set sheets or the 2 quart sauce pan. Well I don't want to say much because theses gifts will go to my sons.

But this year the gifts average out to $10(6 P)(7 E) a piece.

I know we spending a lot less this year on Christmas. Last year we spend right around $100(64 P)(76 E) on each son. This year it was cut by 50%

Then on the kids at family party there gifts where also cut right around 50%.

Slowly been wrapping and sacking gifts. I recycle Christmas wrap. Statement time...I can't believe what people will throw out.

I found two rolls of Christmas wrapping paper in the dumpsters.

I've got Christmas wrapping paper at thrift store, yard sale, wrapping paper that people throw a way. And the day after Christmas sell.

I also do this for those gift bags.

Confession...I'm getting tired of the Christmas wrap. I been using the same wrapping paper doing what every I can to stretch it

This caught my attention a No Spend January Usual in January I purchase my under garments. But I know in reality no one our society can't go around spending money. But there is always room for cut backs. I'm going to take the challenge.

Weekend Photo Hunt (light and decoration)

Also Gattina of Writer Cramp will also be hosting a hunt and it will be called Saturday photo hunt I'm going to try to do both Statement time...I need my head examine. But I'll be calling mine “weekend photo hunt”.

My post may be a little lengthy this month.

First time out Whistle Stop Photo Hunt picked the them of “lights” and my guess she took this theme because of Christmas and majority of people has there tree up and all deck out. We put up real tree and here is a picture where it will be going and all lite up.

Next week theme here is “Joy”

Decoration what Gattina picked for her first hunt. I have no ideal what this is called but I know it has something to do with the Scandinavia countries and I got it at an estate sale.

Then every year I pick up a new ornament to hang on my tree. The one I bought is the red bird on crystal pine cone.

Then also I painted one of ceramic ornaments. Most of them I give or sell.

Next week hunt theme will be “natural”

Thursday the 8^th of December my friend Quenella and I went to Bonners Ferry to do our Christmas Shopping. I”m trying to avoid big box store such as wal-mart and like.

We're spending a lot less this year on the holidays. I usual spend $15 to $20 on the kids at Christmas eve party well this year the gifts are right around $5. There 6 kids there and thee total was $30.00

I only need to order 4 or 5 more present on line. I'm waiting to see if Alice sold my dragon or not. She was heading to craft show in Spokane. If she sell it I'll then order Murphette gift on line if not. She'll get the dragon and she collect dragon.

I'm stumped on practical gift for my oldest son. But it needs to be figure out before Tuesday. Any ideal for a 23 year old guy who got his on pad. I don't want to go much over $30.00

Photo Hunt (Ripped)

This weeks photo hunt I was actual hoping something better would come along. But I did find this ceramic ornament that was ripped among the seams.

What usual cause a rip like this is pulling your molds to early or late.

But I never notice it in the greenware stage so it got clean and fired...it's ok to hang on our yule tree.

I just read that TN CHICK

won't be hosting photo hunt. I've total enjoy being part of it. I only wish the best for her and her family.

Out where I'm at we only have dial up. If someone else would like to take up the hunt I would still be glad to be a part of the hunt.

So my printer ink ran out. I'm not sure if anyone here in Bonners Ferry carries it or not. In all honestly I haven't looked.

So I been hand writing things. So for Thanksgiving I made an nectarine pie which I used my home can nectarine pie filling.

Then I thought apple and caramel pie. So I found quite a few and I had to write a few notes and put one together.

Well for Thanksgiving dinner there where 26 I ended up taking my two pies and a Waldorf salad. But before I start to cook Murphy and I made a pot of white chilli. It was a handy way of doing things simple because the chilli slowly cooked on back burner and it was out of my way so I could make the item for Thanksgiving dinner.

Making the crust with my new food processor did ok but next time a smaller batch would have been a lot better.

Now back to the chilli at the time we made I forgot a simple fact “beans=gas”. Oh in middle of the night the night before Thanksgiving. I started to toot and toot. Even woke my self up. I sure was hoping it would end before we went to the gathering. It did.

When I'm running Faith to do her weekly marketing. Lot of time I'm having one of those fancy coffee at Starbucks. As I'm there I send out 3 hand written cards weekly to different people.

I usual get my cards from second hand stores or yard sale. Once in while I'll get them at some retail place but they have to meet two standard. Price and I have to like the design.

These I got at Wal-mart.

As you all can see the card is sitting on my record of my weigh in at (tops) So our weight recorder writes in this book.

WALDROF SALAD

3 apples diced

2 pares diced

2 celery sticks diced

Little bit of lime zest

½ to 1 cup of chopped walnuts

½ to 1 cup of raisins

a little bit on thinly sliced onions (I use less then ¼ cup) I would use about 1 to 3 Tablespoon of onions .

¼ to ½ cup of Mayo

CARAMEL APPLE PIE

Ingredients

1-1/4 recipes pastry for a 9 inch double crust deep dish pie
3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon white sugar
3 tablespoons and 1-3/4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
7-1/4 cups thinly sliced apples
1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon and 2 teaspoons caramel ice cream topping *
1/4 cup and 2 teaspoons chopped pecans
1-1/4 (16 ounce) packages frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 1 deep dish pie.

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
Stir together the sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Toss with the apples in a mixing bowl.
Pour the mixture into the first unbaked pie shell then drizzle the caramel topping over the top. Sprinkle with pecans. Place the second pie shell over this and flute the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape then place on preheated cookie sheet.

Bake 45-50 minutes, until golden brown. Cool for 1 hour before slicing. Top with whipped topping, if desired.

I just got a Smucker ice cream topping and just dump it in the pie filling.

Tirlin' At the Window, Crying at the Lock

Not sure it this is good or bad. But I can honestly say we're not happy about the drive line in the snow blower be messed up.

The sheer pin had to be replace so we went to Quality feed to get a pin. It cost us $2.30. So Murphy took it out for test run and the drive way didn't need clearing. So he hit a rock with blower.

I been doing a little thinking on holidays and stuff like gifts and cards. I haven't made up my mine how I'll be doing cards. For years I been sending out a weather report that I've been keeping for years now. Which I've stuck in the Christmas cards.

But it will get figured out.

As for gifts this year a few extra corners going to be cut. I figure for the older kids first grade and above will be getting mad lib

with a pencil or a pen. Plus adding a ornament will be fairly easy to do. If I figure right there should be 5 kids in this age group

Then for the younger ones it will be coloring book and crayon. Of course a coloring book. There two in this group.

For Thanksgiving we will be going over to Murphy Sister Faith Place she the only one who got room for all of us. To the best of my math there should be 17 to 28 there. Lot depends on the road there is 11 who lives out of the area. If it snowy Sawyer and Bart will be possible moving snow with there cousin Sam.

I had chance to talk with Faith on what needed to bring. But of course she was clueless. So I volunteered a fruit salad and some type of pie.

This morning I took Murphette to her doctor appointment. Her brain won't shut down and she isn't sleeping well. Opinion time....I think it's the way they eat. Gee a few days they sent me to the store and I didn't get one thing with any nutritional value.

Statement time...a least Thanksgiving dinner there more in nutritional value in that meal.

I got a note card in mail from my friend Finny who is two years older then me. She lost her job she sort of does the same-thing I do but in some-type of home for elderly. I just can't think of what it called but know it not a nursing home. Last time I talk to her she had something to do with there meds.

Her husband Cyrus lost his job sometime ago do to out sourcing. But never once could gain employment to do a learn trouble. Can barely read and never finished High School. So before he was 18 he went to work for Columbia Light Company. I would guess he was there for 30 years there about. He getting S.S.D and I believe his check is over $1,200 a month and under $1,500.

So my friend LaWalla is moving down to a little place outside of Tuscon, on the Mexican border. So tomorrow she parking one of her vehicle out with her friend place over by Black Mountain in the Paradise Valley area.

In North Idaho we have to contend with snow. Many ways of describing snow.

“wet snow”

“dry snow”

“cold snow”

I've never heard of warm snow.

When it comes to moving snow about. Most people now have a snow removing device such as snow plow or blower.

But back when I was young people use shovel actual a snow shovel. It somewhat looks like “grain shovel” there is a difference.

As one who moves snow may use terms such as

“light snow”

“wet snow”

Wet snow would stick to your shovel.

“Blanket” is a term use to describe when the ground is complete covered.

When one has a little or no visibility the term mostly use around here is

“White out”

Anther word for “blizzard”

I think this is the prettiest way of describe snow when it comes out the sky so peaceful

“Angels dandruff”

But when one talks of rain I've never heard anyone yet use the term

“dry rain”

but the terms

“cold rain”

“warm rain”

Is one way to know if one needs to bundle up or not.

Then there is term to describe how fast or the rate of rain coming down.

“It's raining cats and dogs”

Question time...Does it rain ducks and geese in another part of the world

“It's a down pour”

“It's dumping buckets”

“A soaking”

But when it not raining all that heavy one may hear terms like

“A few drops”

“it didn't even settle the dust”

I was thinking or couldn't recall what I want or needed to blog about.

Oh there more then one issue.

Murphy and I are planning to attend occupy in Sandpoint Idaho this Sat the 19th . There not occupy group in my neck of the woods.

I'm sure Murphy sign will say something like “Exploit American Worker” I just haven't thought of any sign that relates to being a home care worker.

But there 3 main grumbles I have.

A nurse comes and figures how much each client shall receive and usual there pretty right on...but....

When a client has to go to a doctor or medical appointment. And the doctor running late or send you some place for test. Then you go over your assign hours. Out of no fault of yours. Your working for free. Statement time...This isn't right. What is one to do. Just leave or kick your client to curb.

There been time when a client could use a little bit more time for special occasion. It wouldn't hurt for a client with good reason could apply once year and extra 8 hours a year.

See once your time is use up and if there really a need “To bad”

There so dead locked on hours you get. Statement time...I complete understand why all of these people are given a certain amount time.

This is one of the biggest grip I have about the home care. It sat up to make these people enabling. Once you get a home-care and suddenly they can't do a thing for there self.

Or they now have little power and they become demanding.

Plus they can continue there bad habits. Eating un-healthy, like drinking pop and eating candy bars. Keeping bad habits or not trying to improve your self, like smoking couple packs of cigarettes a day. Also having chance to get some type of treatment and refusing it because you won't have your servant.

Statement time...Those who are capable improving or staying the same. Should be given mini goals to better there self. If they meet there mini goal they only loose 15 minutes. If they refuse to make any improvements or don't meet them.

As far as I'm concern they don't need a home-care person.

One of my fellow worker told me about this person. At home she wipes her own ass with no trouble and when there in public she wants or needs someone else to wipe her ass.

Simple because it some type of power trip.

At my T.O.P.S meeting I'm doing a fun little thing hope to help us though out the holidays. We're set goals, small ones that hope to keep us on track and develop better habits.

My two goals are walk 40 minute a day. The other one is to drink 24 ounce of water. Plus we're rating our self on how well we are doing daily.

We did this goal thing and it seem to help. I had a goal not eat after dinner and now I can say “98% of the time I now don't eat after dinner”

Confession time...The only reason I ate after dinner because of boredom, not of hunger.

Monday evening our oldest son Sawyer stop in and had bite with us. I thought he was going to tell us he was going to get married.

He does have a girl friend. But he isn't. No grand-kids either.

But I has glad he stop in.

Confession time..I felt like I was visiting with stranger almost. I know they have there own life to live.

I believe it was last summer or the summer before my sister in law Susan and her hubby Jon bought some property out in the Naples area.

Opinion time...I don't think they really didn't want to move up here.

They use the opportunity to get rid of it and tell the reason they got rid of it.

“There son Sam went out on four wheeler and tore it up”

Ok, “I believe it possible he went and rode a four wheeler and even possible did some damage”

“ I was wondering how much really was done”

Opinion time...I think this is opportunity for them to get rid of it and not to say “ we really don't want to move up here”

And Sam became there escape goat.

so twisting the truth a little and that way no one get hurt.

One more thing I saw on face book my brother in law Earl and his wife Rita is heading toward a divorce.

But who knows what will happen until the papers are sign.

Lutheran church

Walked in got a nice warm cup of tea and was wondering if there were more to come. On Sunday the 13^th of November my friend Quenella and I went an visit the Lutheran church.

My thoughts on the service the worship service was unorganized and I felt it slow and one was stumbling though it.

The reading that they choose from the bible where

Zephaniah 1:7, 12-18
Psalm 90: 1-8, 12
I Thessalonians 5: 1-11
Matthew 24: 14-30

as those who choose to read the links. Opinion time...I thought they where awful stories and total put down. The scriptures shouldn't been used and in my thought it would have been a lot better.

Now the main pastor did a up lifting sermon from considering the scriptures that was presented.

Every Sunday a child is given a shoe box and that child puts something in the box and today was a red plastic lizard.

The pastor does a short sermon on what every is in the box. Opinion time...I was very impress on how well he did not knowing what was in the box.

In nut shell how we are all important.

Then even his main sermon was on good Stewardship and we can all do our part. Does matter size or shape even simple kind word is even being a steward.

Boundary county is struggling. It used to be the Lutheran church would give out a food box twice a year and now it comes four time of year.

A need was needed and it got filled.

The Lutherans still believes in blood of the cross but not as heavy as some other religion. Statement time...this is my main hang up with the Christian teaching.

Photo Hunt (Two)

The two of us been doing odds and ends around the place. Nothing major. So we clean up around the wood pile that is stack under the shop/barn eves. Brought some into our basement a small load of firewood. Which heats our home 98% of the time.

One reason we clean up around the wood area by the barn/shop when winter comes and we have to use the snow blower the path way is cleared.

Well I knew I want to take a picture of a two dollar bill. Which is in one of my dresser drawers . I couldn't tell you how long I had this bill.

I haven't seen that many two dollar bill.

I recall my parents telling me about then and toward my senior year of high school they came floating around, 1978.

I couldn't tell you how many ceramic molds I have out here. But there two molds that I stash some cash in. Statement time...The operation of banks just irradiate the hell out of me.

The tellers in the bank we use our real nice and I understand they have a job to do. I was in there the other day making deposit.

The teller ask me if I want a personal line of credit. I said “No thank you” but we can get you a better rate then your credit card.

Which we hardly use.

We keep the credit card paid in full and lot of the time the credit card is paid even way before the statement comes out.

The teller had the screen up and she could see whats going on.

Opinion time...Credit is over rated and it got a lot people in mess and the world. Using and working with cash is easy and a good way to keep things balanced and you having the upper hand

Wee Willie Winkie Rins Though The Town

Finished packing up my finish ceramic pieces. So my friend Alice could take it to a craft show in Post Falls Idaho. It's only one day show but I don't have enough inventory to cover the cost. I only have about $170.00 inventory but if I went and set up there on low end of scale I should have $1,050 worth of merchandises.

But hopeful she sells some item. The cheapest item I have is .35¢ and the most expensive item $40.

Our first seed catalog came today. I haven't been thinking much about gardening. What I should actual be doing is tossing things out.

I got the electrical paid off for the month. It was $61.74. The monthly bills I keep paid off on a regular bases. Which runs about $200 a month.

But also wrote a check for $40 to pay off some lab work done. Sure glad I got that over with.

I'm so glad my work week is done. Question time...Where does people come up with there goofy ideals?

Tuesday the 8^th of November Murphette who I do home care for. I had to take her down to Sandpoint for a doctor appointment.

Her land line phone been having issues.

So she was chatting with her daughter down in Texas. In their conversation about her phone the daughter in Texas told her mom that her phone was bugged by the F.B.I

Murphette thought she was going to the F.B.I office in Spokane Washington and turn her self in and had a statement speech made up. Going something like this “ I know you have my phone bug and you think I been sending out spam e-mails and I would like to get hold of the person who hacked into my e-mail account.”

Then she and this so called person who she thinks tap into her E-mail account that she is going to beat the hell out of them.

But promising that then the F.B.I they can have the person after she was finish with them.

Fact time...her body is pretty much messed up and uses some type of mobility item.

So I'm not taking this with grain a salt. I advised her to talk on the phone on things like her hemorrhoid trouble. I'm clueless if she even has hemorrhoid trouble.

But she thought I was funny.

Now back to the daughter in Texas. Her mom was in the hospital last year at this time and she got hold of me wanting to know whats going on.

During our conversation she told me. That they and I'm clueless who is they. They where pulling off pregnant female forcing them to have an abortion and sterilizing them.

I rather pinch my pennies and be full time personal care giver.

I Wish I May I Wish I Might On the First Star I See Tonight.

I'm not sure what part of life is wishful thinking. But I guess it's always there. Being married all these years. I been ask how we do it.

Statement time...People who tend to give advice never experience it or they screwed up so many time is the ones with the answer.

I mention the doogie door. Well we kept it. So the other day we took off the basement door and headed into town. Over to the in-laws Heinz and Faith so Heinz could help putting on the doggie door.

It's always wishful thinking when Murphy doesn't attempt some projects. Confession time...I find it stressful when he decided to do a project. There even been time when a project been going on I just wanted to fucking pound the holly shit out of the asshole.

I know it was a wise move to do the door. It was done in an hour. But I was looking at ceramic molds on E-bay. Statement time...I need more ceramic molds like I need a hole in head.

Let say if Murphy and I handle the project it would be all day project.

Now it is to get Daisy to go though the door on her own. Well she will come though it if someone lifts the flap. She pretty smart girl and little coaching she will have it down in flat.

When I was younger we had pets and they where excepted to follow “rules” one may call it. But here is the shit. Murphy don't think I know anything on training “Daisy” to go though the doogie door.

Question time...Why do husband thinks there wife are stupid?

I could tell you all sorts of things I told him about something and he wouldn't listen. Like tonight dinner. Not a big thing.

I shouldn't be so hard on him. With today economy and not sure what work will come his way. I suggested that we see our accounting on having the ceramic shop hire him. So in that way he could have a little bigger social security check. I'm not sure what the math formal is but I know they base it on last 2 years of your work history.

Statement time..well a lease he is willing to talk with the account on my ideal of having the ceramic shop to hire him.

You see I need some mold organization done and more shelving put in.

estimated but not looking at the inventory I have done on my ceramic pieces. But then I took a quick look and found out how much I do have. Still not enough to get a booth at some craft show. But I would feel comfortable enough sitting up at our local framers market.

But still will cast greenware, clean greenware, fire greenware, and paint ceramics.

The start up at our local farmer Market isn't until end of April. My goal is to have enough inventory that I could sit up every other market.

I should be more precise. Confession time...I have enough inventory done up but it wrong type of inventory most of it Christmas Ornaments. Which doesn't sell well in the spring and summer time.

Statement time...I know it takes $565 a month to cover our property taxes, insurances, and utilities.

But the rest I'm not sure what all comes to. Like food, gas, up keep on the rigs, and the unexpected in life.

Like I said at this point Murphy will be getting $722.00 on his social security check. My check from Murphette in month it all adds up to $350, then I feel comfortable saying I could make $250 a month profit just doing the local farmers market, and if Murphy some how can haggler anther $250 a month.

So by this calculation we should be taking in about $1,572 a month. But we have private retirement account which is joke and I don't want to use them until we older.

One may ask why I don't look for more client. Confession time... I'm not a big home/personal care giver fan. In so many ways the program is a joke it just enables the clients. Actual it could be a good and helpful program.

But there been client I been around for a few hours and the negative energy for few hours it just zaps you and the only thing you do is go to bed and rest up to get zap again. I have no desire for getting zap out of energy. I rather where my shoes a little longer.

I was goofing off on the computer one day, as I usual do. Came up stairs and notice two of the trees where taken out of the back yard.

It sure open the place up and let more light in. But as summer rolls back around. I know the morning sun light would really glare in my kitchen window.

So Murphy got some tree starts the south side of the house. Some type of Maple. I'm thinking he want to put them in where the two trees came out.

Then once again light will change.

The Dish Ran Away With the Spoon

I just finish up for Ida client out in Curly Creek area. Glad to have the extra income but sure glad the job is over.

Confession time...I might like home care if it was set up differently. In so many ways it set to make the client enabling.

So now it back to Faith and Murphette.

Just a while ago we just figure out what Murphy retirement would be if he took it at 62, $722.00 ruffly. But as for the job market in my area isn't the greatest. Mostly tree nursery which he done for 20 years.

He even looked into doing home-care. Statement time...I wouldn't suggested that job for anyone.

I ran into a neighbor of ours in Safeway. She was telling me about a friend of her taking care of this man who is total ass hole. Editor note...Ass hole comes in both sexes. She was wondering what the agency paid it depends on what agency one gets but she got hold of one pays $7.25 and hour.

My friend Alice who Ida mom went to Sandpoint. Her and I want but mainly her want to check out this place called .foxs fun factory crafters mall

Well for one thing I don't have enough inventory. A monthly booth fee is $30 and 10% of your sale which really isn't that bad compare to other consignment shops. But if your not wanting to a pay a rental fee you can do it on consignment percentage of 30%. I seen any where from 25% to 75% and it also may or may not have a rental fee with it.

Other then not having enough inventory and having a very home feeling. But there a few things didn't set right with me. The building isn't well marked from the highway and there yet not enough exposure.

But if I had bundle of inventory and was doing ok in my ceramic. I might rent a booth. I surly wouldn't sink the very last bit of inventory in there.

I only had to get a few things. I got a doggie door over at home depot but I believe where taking it back. Simple because of the price just under a $100.

Next stop was Wal-Mart. First thing I headed over to the craft department and see what they had in detail brushes the smallest detail brush they had was 2/0 and I have them. Fact time..I where shoes until there complete blown out. Then went over to shoe department and got pair of shoes for under $15.00 tax and all. Plus the first pair I tried on fit.

Then head over to pet area to see if they had doggie door but no cigars.

I went over then got some paper towels and was done shopping. After we where all done shopping we went over to McDonalds.

Next weekend Alice will be doing a craft show in Post Falls and she will be taking my Christmas Ornaments. I don't know what she has for room but I have a few extra pieces done up.

It's A Blessing To Do Good Trick and Treats

Blessed Samhain. I carve a Jack a lantern on Saturday the 29^th of October. It been said that the Jack a lantern is to keep a way the evil spirit

But to me it seem the more someone in to Evangelical Christians they have more trouble with demons. Or it's they don't want to take responsibility for when they mess up and blame it on the devil.

But I would also guess that the Islam also is troubled by the devil.

Statement...I believe in an evilness but it takes a hell of lot of effort to do work of evil and once one does evil it will hang around. Not wanting it to leave.

So we are usual but not always RESPONSIBLE for evil coming into our life.

There two rules one should follow and life should be fairly easy. 1. Help anther soul (person) size has nothing to do with it. 2 Harm none that includes your self.

This season also mark half way between fall (Mabon) and winter (yule) season. Up here we still been getting a few nibbles out of the garden. Statement time...the things that are undercover in garden is still being used. The garden is pretty much settling down the long winter rest.

It looks like I have anther week out by Herman lake. Ida has anther week working at nursery. I wouldn't want to go out there on regular bases.

I'm not a big fan of home-care. “such bullshit” but Murphy is thinking trying to get his C.N.A

At one time I thought of doing it but I would only make a dime more of hour and put a ding into one money safe.

There only been a few people I every talk to actual like doing home care.

The other day I was in safeway pharmacy picking up some Rx and being a small town having chit chat with your fellow human is common.

I just looked up what it takes to be come a C.N.A. 120 hours of instructions. Then the pay scale is $9.60 to $12.77 an hour.

Hourly I average out to $11.34 an hour.

I thought it would cost around $1,200. But Murphy called and he found out it $800 not sure if that covers every thing or not.

One would make a dime more and hour if there lucky.

for there church service. Statement time...I can't agree on there complete teaching hook line an sinker either. I haven't yet heard them try to play the fear card or the guilt card.

But still I can't take there teaching hook line and sinker. “Mostly about the blood and lamb of cross”. But I have heard other teaching of Christians faith really pound that fear and guilt to you, tying it in with the blood of the cross.

Sure I know the spirit doesn't die. There all sorts of spirits around us which comes in all sorts of shapes and forms well as attitude.

Actual this week “Father” they call there pastor “Father”. He seem like a nice enough fellow. A least the Orthodox doesn't make there priest into some type of pervert like the Catholics do.

This service was on giving one self but of course there was part about money. Confession time... It reminded me that I need to line up 5 pieces in ceramic pieces finished once sold that I will give the proceeds to a worthy cause.

It sure won't be going to some preacher. I have no trouble when visiting a religious service putting some money in offering.

The main purpose of going Qunella car is having issue. The timing belt is having issues. She made arrangement to have the priest come out and do a blessing on her home and Katka Mountain Peace Garden

after the services. So I went to the service and there things in the service I don't agree on.

I rather see someone asking or making good happen then evil. Which the following of Abraham, Ishmael, or Issac has the corner on market in blessing of good. Opinion time...That what some people think, not me.

It lot easier to do one blessing of kindness and it has nothing to do with religion.

Our TV isn't broken it may be out dated but it isn't broken. Murphy use to say “I'll fix it” on items that wasn't even broken.

I would reply “It not broken”

But of course he would try to fix un-broken item

Then be not such loving wife, I would say something like...”You fucking idiot now it broken” yelling at him.

Statement time...it would would really piss me off when he want to fix something that wasn't broken and he broke it try to fix something he should just left alone.

I have to say he wasn't try to fix non-broken item in resent times.

The Little Dog Laugh'd to See Such Craft

There quite a bit what I want to post to my blog. More then one matter. First of all in my last post I post about my Uncle and Aunt celebrating there

65^th anniversary. I don't know if Murphy and I will make it that many years. Simple fact is he was 38 and I was 28 when we got married. So in eye of social security we been married 23 years but lived together 5 years before that. A total of 28 years.

I'm still taking care of Ida client out in Curly Creek area. Filling in out there suits me just fine.

Murphy will be 62 years old in November of 2012. Well not sure if he is going to sign up for his social security or not. I know he would get a larger check if he waited. Confession time...I really don't like the ideal of retiring at this age. But with today economics we might not have any choice. As I could we live on his social security “yes”

I'm not sure what he will be getting.

I'm hoping I can stay on with Murphette which now she gets 8.75 hours a week at this time. Plus with Faith but with Faith age of 88 and her birthday is in December.

As for extra income with ceramics. “I know I wouldn't total depend on it in today world” but an extra little bit don't hurt.

I was thinking how I was going to price my yule (Christmas) ornaments. “$2.55 or $2.70” each. Depends on how Alice wants to handle the sale tax on it.

I know I won't have enough inventory made up. So this way we both could add a little jingle to our pocket.

As for current events or I guess this been hashed around a few times. “flat tax rate” I would be first to say “we need some tax reforms and simple one in fact”

Statement time.... tax a person 10% of there complete income on people who making $15,080 a year. Which is federal minimum wage.

Plus those on a low scale of social security and disability.

I know social security insurance (disability) pays right below $700 a month. In a year that comes to $8,400 a year.

Statement time...couldn't you just see these people paying 10% of there income. In some ways I'm for a flat tax rate.

Opinion time...I think the personal deduction should be raised to $30,000 per person. Even take way the marriage deduction. I have no trouble even people with kids at home let them have $30,000 for each of there rug rats.

Any income left above that should be tax at 10%

Would we have to pay income tax on my set up “No” I would guess we will take in this year about $12,000.

Most years we make between $20,000 to $30,000 a year.

I'm not even trying to guess what I'll be making at the local craft fair in December.

As for things happen on the place. Murphy and I been trying to put the garden to bed. Still plenty to do. I'm wanting to clean and spade a place for some asparagus in.

But Murphy and I clean and re-did the “royal sunshine” flowerbed. This flower bed is made of yellows and purple tones flowers.

But it doesn't look like much. But the quack grass got such out of control.

This isn't what I deeply want for high. This is Highway 95 off the pleasant valley loop rd, top of the hill. For me to go anywhere I have to get on the pleasant Valley loop rd and head to the highway. There two place that pleasant valley loop that becomes out on Highway 95.

If ones head North about 4 miles you will come to Bonners Ferry Id. But if ones head south about 2 ½ miles is Naples turn off.

If you miss the turn off the next town would Elmira, Samuel, Ponderay, and then Sandpoint. All the town south bound except Sanpoint, blink once and you'll miss them.

I thought of taking the camera on our last trip into the mountain when we got another load of firewood. Confession time...I was tired of posting about wood gather. I was even boring my self.

So I decided not to take a camera with.

Up on Myrtle Creek we saw a young bull moose full set of antlers. He just stood there and listen to us as we talk to him. I could of got a picture drool and all.

I don't know if Ida is wise or not. I'm filling in for her for a 7 to 10 days. I did her client last summer so she could go with her family to the Oregon Coast. She working for tree nursery which I think it called “Panhandle” something like that.

Let to some math. I know when she does home care I know what is making about $11.00 an hour. I don't how many hours of attend care or home chores she gets from this client. So split the difference and round to $11.00 and hour. She get 17 hours a week. So every week she making $187.

My hubby been with tree nursery 20 years and he knows who to avoid. Panhandle pays $7.25 and hour. He compared it to Clifty View Nursery and I guess you'll work close to a 40 hour week. So that comes to $290 a week. I didn't figure taxes.

I'll leave it at that and let you figure if she wise or not.

Doing home-care can drive you nut. I can complete understand why she want a break from the job.

Well it my Uncle Melvin and Aunt Bea anniversary. They been married 65 years.

I never thought of our little town of Bonners Ferry having anything public. Actual when one thinks about how many public things are in a town. Anything is put on by any government branch is actual public.

Let see in our little area, these things are public...schools, bridges, court house, city hall, city parking lot and etc.

I'm not sure if this is a public park or square. But at one time Taft's Variety store was there. It burn down; not sure what year but none of my sons where born. So it had to be before 1988.

It known as “Georgia Mae” who Georgia Mae actual is or if their even once was a Georgia Mae. “I just don't know.”

Confession time...I actual look at Georgia Mae square is one way to take a short cut from the post office over to main street.

Time Takes Care of Most Things

I know about “jobs” that one can't stand. I have to say I feel a lot better walking away from my client “Donna” Looking back I should walk before I did.

Confession time...I don't know why I stayed as long as I did. I put my self in a mental prison and let Donna be my mental prison guard.

I felt like I was trap in this “mental prison” with her and I was total running on adrenalin. After a day with her I would total clasp.

Statement time...Way Idaho Medicaid runs there home care department is something to be desired.

I haven't been to prison but I'm guessing there certain relationship between the prison guard and the inmate. I would guess not all bad either they even have bond between the two.

But the prison door is left open and the inmate won't leave and even the warren gives out the proper papers. But the inmate don't want to leave his/her guard.

But they know they ought to walk, but doesn't. Suddenly the guard steps way out bounds and you know this is your time to leave the joint.

I've seen Donna one time after I walked out. I'm not going to predict how or even how it should be. Time takes care of most things as it should but not all.

Confession time and Statement time...I actual like Donna and the conversation we had were very good. I bet there inmate that actual likes there guard and has a good relationship but it still a prisoner and guard relationship.

I had the same feeling waiting for my new Cuisinart food processor as I did one winter. I would guess it was the winter of 1968 or so.

Out of every pay check from IPIC. I would take $10 and stick it in a little empty box. Then I gather up reward points on our credit card. Always keeping a balance of zero, keeping it paid off. The day came and I could get a $100 gift card from Amazon.

But in mean time one of my other pay check from driving Faith around. I would put her check on my credit card and I was money a head. So I decided to take the big leap and purchase my self a Cuisinart 1000 watt elite food processor.

There's more good news “ I never used any of the money I put in the little empty box”

Once it was order or even slightly before. I had it all map out when the U.P.S would be coming to our home. So every time what I thought was sound of heavier truck going down the gravel dirt road. I would listen to see if “Daisy our dog would bark” and if she didn't bark the truck was going on past our place.

Or I would take peak out of the window to see if it was the man in “brown”

Then the waiting was over. Daisy had a bark as a stranger just pulled in. It was actual one of mail ladies that worked out of the Bonners Ferry Post office. Which totally surprised me. I thought one those Browns would be delivering it.

Confession time... I was embarrasses of my behavior. I just grab the box hardly saying anything to the mail lady. Thinking to my self “Yes, I waited for my toy and now I can play with it.

Needing or wanting something can be some what a question. I knew soon I would be wanting a new card for my camera. Before it became a need and still want. I could find the best bang for my buck.

Walmart sold a 1mb for about $26. Out of all sort of camera cards of course mine would be the most expensive. Not so expensive I couldn't afford it.

But I found someone though Amazon. I believe was New Jersey offered a 2mb for $13. Twice the saving for twice the card. So I ordered two cards.

Then once again I was waiting for my cards to my camera. I was pretty sure such a small package, it would be coming though the regular mail.

So I think it was a day or so after the food processor the wait was over and out in mail box there where the picture cards for my camera.

Last Night. Murphy and I went to this sell pitch of Primerica

but before that let me back up a few days. He was home and receives this phone call and the person on the other end says “We got your phone # from one of your employers” which he did work for.

Thinking it was some type of sting. There trying to find people who drawing an extension unemployment by sitting up “fake jobs” those who don't show up will loose there benefits.

So we sat there though the whole thing. Opinion time...I thought it was Bull and a pyramid deal.

But they call them self an MLM and I really don't know the difference between a pyramid and a MLM.

Well there lot of companies are MLM or Pyramid companies. Pamper chef, Amway, Tupperware, Shackley, and etc.

The main thing about the few companies I list above. There offering an tangible item one can hold.

Confession time...I was once involved with a MLM “Tupperware” I sold it. Did I become rich “No” to me it was to get my self some tupperware product for free or a discount. Make a few extra coins But Primerica is nothing but a pyramid investment company.

So I google “Primerica scams” and the word they use in many ways was “value”. When the word values comes up. I know it's a warning to be avoid it.

Editor Note: We can't prove this but I think the Kootenai inn and casino had something to do with it. One of the things to be part of Primerica one can't have a felony. To work for the Kootenai Inn one also can't have a felony.

Editor Note... I was getting ready to up-load my pictures and Rosie decided to take a swipe at my hand and I dropped the card to my camera. Haven't yet located it, soon hopeful.

In the mean while there is plenty of other to enjoy.

I thought this week theme of covered actual sound interesting simple because I knew exactly what I wanted to take a picture of. Confession time....I wasn't sure which angle I should take the picture of.

This year hubby and I been getting quite a bit of wood for our wood stove. I bet lot of you read my blog can tell or it's about ceramics.

Well all of our wood is under some type of cover. The first wood went into our old hay barn. Plus my ceramic molds is in there also. The ideal was to build shelves. But the wood is taking that spot.

The rest went under the cover of the eves barn/shed.

I believe we have somewhere between 6 and 7 cords of firewood, all under cover.

Next week theme is “waiting” At this point I'm clueless what I'll be doing but something will come. But in the mean time check out some of the other photos. The best way is to go over to Tn Chicks

I got out the crock pot yesterday and made up batch of White Chili. This recipe I got from Alice who lives up on what they call “Highland Flats”

2 medium onions

4 garlic gloves

Saute these items above

3 cans of great northern bean Editor Note... I've used White Kidney beans (cannelloni)

6 cups of chicken broth

½ teaspoon

1 ½ teaspoon oregano

2 teaspoon of cumin

4 cups of chicken cooked and diced Editor Note....I used ground Turkey and cooked with my onions and garlic.

Optional 3 cups of monterey jack cheese. Editor Note...I don't use cheese.

Editor notes...I've also saute and add to the chili is leeks and peppers.

I've always like corn bread and I can't see having Chili with out it. I like good and I mean good corn bread.

One thing I like is home made corn bread made from scratch. Here the thing is about corn bread from scratch I don't make corn bread that often so I end up tossing out the corn meal.

The “Jiffy” brand is way to dry.

So I bought some Marie Callenders original corn bread Restaurant style from our local Safeway.

I thought it was on the spend-ie side. Opinion time....I think every thing or most things at Safeway empties one pocket book.

Easy to make 2 ingredients water and the package.

I use my larger muffin tin and I filled them ¾ full but the package didn't say how much batter for the tin.

This made 6 muffins.

Taste but a little on sweet side but nothing close to a cake.

Moist is one of the strong points. Even the next morning they where plenty moist. I give these corn-bread muffin a 4 ¾ tea cups.

The Little Dog Ran Away With the Spoon

Yesterday I went an spend some money. I order my self a Cuisinart food prossor

I been saving up for one. Out of every pay check I would stick $10 in a container of some time.

Plus I gather reward points from the credit card. When using the debit card I run it as a credit.

Well I had enough points to get a $100 gift card from amazon though my bank.

Plus the money I get from Faith for driving her around. That check I just put on the credit card account it some where between $30 and $60 bucks.

So there was an over payment on the card.

So I ordered the food processor

I also got a card for my camera amazon offer a lot better deal then even wal-mart I pay right around $25 for 1mb and amazon offered a 2mb for $13 something.

It end up I didn't have to touch the money in container and I have little over $70 toward the good on my credit card.

I been back doing genealogy. History has always fascinated me. There a possibility that my 2^nd great grand-father “Gilman” Witherell was a letter carrier. So back in his day they only had three choices to delivery mail; on a horse, horse with some type of buggy, or on foot.

He had two son that served in the Civil war. His son Henry who died of disease during the war. The his youngest son Duane my great grand-father who was part of the 21 gun salute over President Lincoln grave.

I been finding odds and ends about the family. Like “Gilman” other son George who was the oldest head to California with his wife “Suzy Church” I only know of one son “Bert”. I don't recall the name but I believe it was Bert son who served in World War I.

But what I find is strange either they had large families 6 or more. Or they only had one only child. I know Gilman had 5 or 6 kids.

At this point George only had one child.

Henry had one child Harley. But it looks like Harley mother Susan Brown (Baines) remarried after her husband Henry died.

Duane had two son Clarence and Maurice. Maurice died do to some type of food poisoning during the San Francisco earth quake in early 1900's

Clarence and his first wife Elsie only had one child Harold my dad. They where soon divorce after there marriage. Both remarried and Elsie with her new husband Rolph had 4 more children. Clarence remarried to woman name Pearl. I gather she had some children but Clarence and she never had an of there own.

My dad Harold was married to a lady name Anna Bleazby for 4 months and she died. I know later on he remarried a lady name of Louise. They where married for 20 years and had no children and where divorce. In about three years after his divorce he married my mom Myra and I'm there only child.

You see even before Gilman they had large families or just one child.

The Cow jump'd over the Moon

It seem once we get less the 12 hours of sun. I notice more and more leaves are turning colors. Still getting produce out of the garden.

I got out my fall color candles. Sort of rust orange color.

Wrote the last bill check for the month of September. It our gas bill for $4.00. So our basic bills for this month ran us $144.71. But of course I had our yearly home owner insurance of $583.00.

Plus I've been paying off some lab work. I wrote them a check for $71.89 and still owe them about $101.00

On the lab bill I talk to company and promise them more then $20 a month. Well I been sending them well over $20 a month.

Confession time...I have know clue what I spend of food.

Last Friday I tried to fire the smaller kiln of greenware but it didn't fire right. I just sucked up the power. I'm sort of thinking to give it anther try sometime over the weekend.

Murphy thought it wasn't shut tighten enough. I hope that was it, so easy to take care of.

So Today I had my T.O.P.S (taking off pounds sensibility) I feel I don't get much support from my husband. At time I feel like showing him and saying “See I weigh over fucking 200 pounds I don't like it and I fucking hurt”

But I have to say T.O.P.S taught me not reward my self with food. I think I got it down that now I don't have to continue to eat after dinner.

I've been more disappointed in a weigh in only a ¼ pound gain.

One thing we been doing in T.O.P.S we're having a contest on changing some of our bad habits. I won't going into much detail. Each of us picked 3 goals that would benefit us and each day we give our self a grade on how well we think we did.

My three goal I picked are

Walk down pass the skinny larch and back home (1 ½ miles)
No eating after dinner
drink 48 ounce of water
So far I'm doing really good on not eating after dinner.

Hubby is heading back to work for Will toward Porthill. It been a while since Murphy since been to work he been apply for other jobs but he is a lot happier at the tree farms. With the economy they haven't been doing all that well either.

In about 13 months Murphy can get his social security. Not sure if he will or not lot depends on whats going on.

A color for this week hunt. There were quite a few items that is yellow and I didn't want to use any of them. But this is what I decide to use

We have a yellow rope we use mostly for getting firewood. I know it was a little longer at one time.

I believe Sawyer our oldest got his dad this rope, but I'm not quite sure.

It showing ware and tare because it's been used. Actual I thought of getting Murphy anther rope like that for a present. Statement time...I haven't figure out how to wrap it.

There one more yellow item. A yellow shovel handle. I can recall people buying the handle to fix things such as shovels. But now there the same price to purchase a complete shovel.

We actual like the fiberglass handle then the wooden ones.

Murphette got an extra hour of care. Which makes my hour for the week with her 8 ½. But they got her under a different program so my pay scale will be different. When I'm doing home type of things I get $10.41 and hour. Then when it comes to personal care I get $12.47 an hour.

Opinion time...it sounds like a book-keeper nightmare. I would put everyone at $11.00 an hour. But I should'nt complain to loudly. Because lot of the home care agency that only pays minimum wage of $7.10 an hour.

Medicaid and or Medicare pays these home care agency here in Idaho about $14.00 an hour.

Last Tuesday I went to our company bi annual meeting in Sandpoint. We didn't get our so called bonus checks because the Idaho government but in a new software system that hasn't yet got all the kinks out.

See we get paid once a week. Now there thinking of paying us every other week or bi monthly. You should of seen the people wine about that.

Actual I wouldn't mine being paid twice monthly.

I told my hubby about that. He said “It would probably have more people running to the pawn shop or the pay day loan place if they didn't get paid weekly”

I've been close have to use a pawn shop or a pay day loan place, but no potatoes.

I sometime shake my head when I see people handle there money. Opinion time...I actual believe people doesn't know the different between a need and want.

Both hubby and I know the different between and want and need.

Yesterday was our oldest son birthday he 23 now. I haven't yet called him to wish him a happy birthday . I'm planning to call him Sunday instead as I'll be firing my small kiln which I finely got loaded.

Right now with this economy. I know it would be hard to make a living doing ceramics but a few extra dollars never hurts.

Actual this hunt sort of scared me. This may sound weird living in Northern Idaho where there plenty of timber and wood. I want to find something a little more then a tree or wood pile for this week theme of wooden.

Some time ago I did a ceramic train that has a wooden look to it. At one time the ceramics paint companies made a glaze that fired out to look like a wood tone. I'm not sure if they do make such a glaze any more or not.

One time I did a nativity set out of a wood tone glaze.

I'm not here actual I been busy on most Saturday during the hunt. I did fine something for Greasy. It best to have some fat on your steak to barbeque. So I bought a chuck steak a little costly, $4.09 a pound but there was a 50% off sticker on it.

Sure taste good with salad from the garden. I think we had potatoes from the garden also

At This Rate Either Side Will Come Out On Top

On Saturday the 27^th of August we went up to Roman Nose the way of snow creek. I found quite a few wrongs in the woods.

Some left a can in caribou creek.

But at first look into the Forrest everything my look just fine. But there plenty of wrongs in our Forrest mostly do to with policies.

One time our local community ran on timber dollar. Yes, the timber industry was king which would consist of logging and the sawmills.

At times clear cutting an area is actual necessary. Still they need regulation on forest management. Opinion Time... Out of section of timber no more then 5% should be total cleared. If there is a need to clear cut more anther 5% in a section it should be brought to the community of that county where national forest land is located. I know national forest is own by the entire country and there voices need to be heard also.

No more then 10% can be clear cut in a section and this can only happen once every seven years.

I would also add no land swap between the national forest and timber company for 25 years.

You see the national forest and timber industry swaps lands. So once it private land timber corporation has less regulation and can do more damage. “You know private rights”

But to me it is wrong to only selected the strongest species and best genetics. Then leave the weakest species and genetically defected. Now our Forrest is full of disease and deform trees that are dieing off.

Statement time...the timber company took the best and drove off with money in there pocket and now our little town is struggling.

But on the other hand the environmental don't want a tree to be cut. This is wrong. Simple because trees are a crop like any other crop which needs to be harvest.

Letting things go isn't good stewardship either. Not having proper lumber harvest can cause on healthy trees for future generation.

What you exactly end up having is bunch of tooth-picks for trees and the trees don't make proper growth for things like plywood.

Sure one can make press board but the stuff the use is toxic chemical for everyone.

Statement time..So saving every little tree is doing the same as lumber company did.

So both our wrong

Opinion time...Our woods need to have a major thinning. I would take 25% of every thing under 4 inches in diameter on every other section of Forrest land.

Then on the other section I would take out 15% between 6 and 8 inch in diameter.

Actual no one won or winning with managing our national forest. Truth be known there both side our digging them self in a ditch.

I was wonder if we where ever going to have summer or not but it seem like the last week of August summer came out of hiding.

The last of August a thunder storm came in and dumped all the rain in one sitting.

I notice the second cutting of hay seem to be less then most years.

The Cat and The Fiddle

This what I plan to post today was Aug weather report. The fact is our home computer is having issues. So here I am at work typing away.
I guess sometime or day the computer won't be having issues. I guess everything has issues including me.

First of all I thought I was going to put down zero rain fall but the last day a thunder storm came though and dumped an 1 1/2 inches of rain.

I still been trying to make it to end of the field. Haven't yet made it. Haven't gave up either. Well I went in to my weight lost support group I was down a 1/2 of pound.
I'm trying not to eat anything after dinner and if I have to I eat plain popcorn.

So over Labor day weekend. Murphy, His sister Faith and her hubby Heinz with two of there grandchildren went and hiked into the second lake. The first lake one can drive too but I've never been to the other lakes up at Roman Nose. Hopeful next year I can see the third lake.

Both boys are back in college and still going to North Idaho College.

I think it would be easy to teach my to cats Ziggy and Rosie to play the fiddle then figure out why in hell I can't get one line.
We still have Dial up so I'm taking in my external modum and see if that causing me issues.

Hey Diddle Diddle Dee

I actual want to post a fairly length post on this blog. But who really want to hear bunch of blah, blah and more blah.

When I first set up my blog. First time I posted something I believe it was only one line or maybe it was two line but I know it wasn't a three lines.

Then I posted nothing then at later date I start to post more and more but not regular base. I know one year or more then one year I started to post on daily bases.

Out in dink toolies we're dial up is the norm. But when I move here most people had party lines on their phone. That when more then one resident shared a phone line and when one want to use there phone had to see if there phone line was clear. So one could listen into other conversation but I thought that was just plain rude.

If I was going to take educated guess when the party line end out here it would be 1982 to about 1984.

The weekend of August 20^th we had our county fair. It amazing how many what I would call right wing political and religious orders had a booths up. But the main reason I actual go to the fair is to see the exhibits such as knitting, sewing, quilting, woodwork, breads, cookies, fruits, and veggies. Then of course animals.

There the 4-H and FFA animals which is sold as market animals. There was one youngster who market animal sold more then one time. It was to help raise money for this man legal defense for shooting a grizzly bear.. I won't go into much detail. There this family who lives in Porthill area and a grizzly bear came unto there place and he feared his pigs which is part of there lively hood was at risk. But mostly his children was at risk.

Statement time...Any sow “Mother bear” is nothing to mess with and these are not pets. Plain and simple there wild animals

Idaho state game thought they should be no charges against him but the federal government does.

I tend lean to left on political views and for most Idahoan I would be consider a wacko. But in this case this person was protecting his family.

Info time..those who lean to right in there political are consider “Nut Jobs” and those who lean to left is consider “Wacko”

I'm still doing my walking and not stuffing my face after dinner. Haven't yet made it to end of the field yet. But last three weighing in at TOPS (taking off pounds sensibly) I lost weight.

We're loosing little over a minute of sunlight in morning haven't yet figure out how much we're loosing in evening. But now it finely feeling like summer is trying to give a blast of heat

Sometime after the 20^th I notice there been quite a few spider web covering the ground.

Hubby and I put up 7 pints of pickle beets.

In ceramic world I'm still casting ornaments and about ready to go though anther box. Then also casting the miniature. Well I got the first level full of green-ware which consist of ornaments mainly and some napkin ring holder. Just barely start to lay a second round of green-ware on top of the first. One can pack green-ware tightly in a kiln. I brought anther piece in to paint, a kitty.

I don't think any of you notice I been doing some changes on my sidebar to the right. Coffee drinker and sleeping ones.

Photo Hunt (Symbolic)

I thought this week photo hunt of symbolic would be very hard to do. Just quite the opposite but I decided to use only two symbols.

One is the free mason symbol. On my dad side I believe most of them where free mason. I know my great grandfather Duane on his tombstone he has the free mason symbol. His wife Dora has the eastern star symbol on her tombstone.

I took the picture of the mason symbol off my dad masonic papers. He was a free mason in Michigan. Not much for free mason up in Bonners Ferry and the closes Eastern Star I could join is in Sandpoint.

Last Sunday Murphy and I went to the gardenia center in Sandpoint for there Sunday service. I'm not sure if this is symbol or not. But it up at the front.

Phoro Hunt (Drink)

This week theme for the hunt is drink at first I thought of taking a photo of “red beer” when I was young I couldn't stand the taste of a red beer.

When I was young I used to experiment in my moms' kitchen and would come up with some contraption I would call my magic potion.

Confession time...A few time my mother lost it complete when I made a major mess.

Well my hubby and I at times don't see eye to eye on how we should eat. Statement time..I should give the devil its due. Compare to most men he eat pretty darn good. I don't think there is a veggie he really doesn't like.

I like to juice and make smoothie. So if one wants or needs to know anything one can just google it.

So I googled in what I believe was these four things. “what is the best food for a liver cleanse, what is the best food for a gall bladder cleanse, what is the best food for a kidney cleanse,, and what is best food for spleen cleanse”

This is the best food for the liver.

one garlic glove*

three or four carrots*

one grapefruit

Note time...I been told that red grapefruit is better for ones liver. But if you can't afford grapefruit now and have to purchase the juice. I notice around here all the red and pink grapefruit juice has high fructose corn syrup. But it seem quite a few of white grapefruit juice doesn't have high fructose corn syrup.

This is the best food for the gall bladder

half to one cup of cabbage. Note time...I use kohlrabi* from the garden

2 inch of ginger root*. Note time...I really like ginger root and would add a little more for my personal taste.

There Was a Time When We Wrote Letters

I'm one who remember having pen pals. Someone one you never met before and correspond by what now is called snail mail. The other day I was visiting some of my blogs and stop in at “Home Spun Pagan Mom” blog. Her posting is called witch and wiccan pp

If one is uncomfortable with Witch or Wiccan. One could search google or facebook for a pen pal under any category here is a few examples. Buddhist pen pals, Christian pen pals, Muslim Pen pals, New york pen pal or any state, cooking pen pals, bird watching pen pals, gardening pen pals, and the list could go on and on.

So over the weekend Bart came up and help Quenella put up a tarp on the North-side of her A Frame. I was going to bring my camera but it sat comfortable on the living room coffee table.

It hard to explain what Quenella place look like.

Murphy also was there and two other gentlemen.

Bart was the one who went to the peak of the roof and pulled up the tin and latched down the tarp. When he was in high school he earn money roofing.

Also I want a picture of Quenella “cowboy coffee” for next Saturday photo hunt.

I been pouring more greenware. I been pouring mostly ornaments and miniatures. But up coming it looks like I will be casting some of my tooth pick holders.

After looking at them I need to re-figure how I'll be pricing an inside glaze job. I was going just base it on one dollar didn't matter the size of the item.

I've also sat up a facebook page for my business NIce and Nifty Stuff

but at this time it doesn't look like much.

The one an only Benny (Benjamin Morris) the cat. This is Murphette Cat. She needed a picture of him. So the housing authority knows what he looks like.

So he was laying in the mowed down iris. Statement time...The maintenance Man told the yard crew to mow down the laying down Iris leaves. In my opinion I think it a little early because they need to put energy in the rhizomes.

One thing Benny likes to do is watch a yearling fawn (Last years) I guess he dreams about hunting big game. I think mice and gophers is his speed for now.

That Way the Cookie Crumbles

We're sure not bring in the dough neither one of us are. I'm bring in a little over a one hundred dollars a week. Hubby haven't done much in line of tree nursery work. The figures I have read about boundary county unemployment is 15%. On the local bulletin boards they sure seem to be a lot of homes for rent, $400 to $600 a month.

So we been trying to get in some firewood. I know we have enough for us to get though a winter. But what we get now is gravy.

I been casting some ceramics mostly my smaller pieces. This what I want or hope to do. My friend Alice does our three holiday local shows and I'm hoping she can take some of my finish ceramic pieces.

The reason I don't get a booth is. I know I would need about $600 worth of inventory. In reality this is impossible.

Most of what I'm doing is Christmas ornaments.

I know there not much cash floating around but at this point the ornaments would sell for $2.60 each. But who knows how the economy will dictate the prices.

So this way if she willing to take my pieces we could make a little extra cash possibly.

Saturday an old friend of Murphy passed away. There where pose to be a memorial service for Milt at Memorial field.

We couldn't find where the service was being held.

But Murphy said he was the king of the hippies.

As we where over at Memorial field in Sandpoint I notice they have a arboretum and took a brief tour. If I have known all the interesting or cool things what was around memorial park I could of taken some cool pictures.

It seem like everyone was saying this should be a bumper crop of huckleberries. I've been wrong but I could see the weather wasn't right for huckleberries.

What the ideal weather pattern is a wet spring and hot summer. Starting some time after the fifteenth of June the sun can just shine.

We didn't get any heat to end of July and first part of August.

Anything that needs to make height in garden sure hasn't like my hollyhock flowers actual I'm still taller then they are.

Artichokes are just spreading out. Usual around here there about waist high not this year. There above the ankle and below the knee.

But there is some fruit coming on.

I'm still walking down in field. I'm up to the set of Alpine firs. Daisy and I went out for walk Sunday Morning. We scared up a doe and her fawn.

Well it scared Daisy so she started to run toward home.

I know the doe wasn't please with us, she made a snorting noise of being pissed off.

I've been casting more pieces then painting. I'm trying to get anther load ready to fire. I don't like firing non filled kiln. It's to costly.

I thought this July would have been a lot cooler but it wasn't. The night time temperature ones was quite a bit cooler then normal although no damage to the crops.

A brief note can 17 pints(8 litters) of carrots and froze 5 quarts (4.7 litters) of greens.

Confession time...I like weird combo together when it comes to food.

So for dinner last Monday I decided to clean out left over grains I had to right of my kitchen sink. All of these bags had less then ½ cup.

So here is the ingredients.

Pearl barley, lentils, brown rice, onion, garlic, celery, jalapeno peppers, almonds, cilantro, soy sauce, pork, lemon juice, and egg.

See I like strange things together

Now listen to this.

This isn't a turd.

But I like to mix peanut butter and powder sugar together. I eat this put first I have to play with it.

Chicken Little Spot In Idaho

I never looked as my self as Chicken Little

the one who went around yelling “The sky is falling” I have no trouble be prepared for anything that may come my way.

Or have your ducks in a roll.

I believe everyone knows about the budget trouble the United States is having and needs to come up with something by August 2, 2011.

But some people.

Murphette who lives on the south hill senior/disable apartment. One of her neighbors in the complex with her called up social security to find out if the checks where coming in August.

I'm assume he been hearing the news about the budget.

Well the person on the other end was probably and everyone who works for social security was told to say “We don't know if the checks will go out in August or not”

So this put Murphette in “The sky is falling mode”.

She was afraid that the land lord would kick them to the curve.

If this is true they would have to kick well over 90% of the residents to curve. A few may have a little more the social security but it would be just a drop in bucket.

Like my check around about way it comes from the government also. So does the management of the senior/disability housing in Bonners Ferry.

Thursday I drove Faith around and as she was doing her shopping. I went into Starbucks and have some coffee. Read in my book

When I Was Gone

I understand some of the main tree nurseries couldn't keep people working enough to collect unemployment this fall and winter.

I know Murphy has an old claim he can reopen this winter.

But like lot of people he isn't getting enough time in to open a claim after the first of the year.

We did make a wood trip up on Harvey Mountain above Robinson lake. Up on the Mountain we would try to figure out what lakes, creeks, or river we where looking at.

So far we have about four cords of firewood mostly larch and red fir.

At any time we could be looking at Robinson lake, Round Prairie Creek, Miller Creek, Moyie River, or any other water ways.

Toward the top of Harvey we could look down on East Port

the United States Border into Canada. On the Canadian side it called Kings Gate

When Murphy and I was up above Robinson Lake up on Harvey Mountain. I notice a lot of wild flowers grew in patches.

Such is yellow clover. I notice there little bit of white daisies mixed in.

Near the international border USA and Canada. There a patch of daisies

On the down off the mountain I notice a patch beautiful delicate bell flowers which are purple. These flowers where growing where little dirt is on rocky edge.

Our strawberry patch had bumper crop. Froze over 20 quarts of berries and did up 7 pints of frozen strawberry jam.

Plus plenty to eat fresh.

All My Love For Berries

I'm so glad my two weeks are done filling in. Usual the client aren't that bad. But it irradiates the hell out of me how medicaid runs home care.

Oh good AH-HA it can be come one good gravy train.

Murphy and I took a ride up Trail Creek to check out a spot we get huckleberries. None really ripe yet. Usual by now we are picking full force.

But this morning as I was at work he went out and pick some strawberries. I knew he put some in the freezer.

Notice some thimble berries are just starting. Not enough to even put on your cheerios, which I really like doing.

We went over to his sister Faith to pick some cherries and got a gallon. I even had to force my self not to eat them.

We took her some greens.

Even with work I mange to get in a walk or too. Only walked down to the gate.

Worked on the ceramic dragon and the next thing I'll be painting its wings.

I'm doing a fill in for Ida. They took a trip over to Oregon coast. When I say they I mean her mom Alice and her dad Marim.

Actual the whole gang went which consist of 4 children one of them had to stay and work

I believe 4 grand-kids also tag along. One other girl that lives in there home.

So to best my count there was 11 of them traveling to Oregon Coast. Yea I know Oregon Coast isn't near me, to those who live in New York I'm a lot closer then they.

Ida client lives near Montana. It would be a little over 20 miles from the south hill in Bonners Ferry. I'm about 3 or 4 miles south of Bonners Ferry.

So I drive by Herman Lake, a private lake. Last time I knew any thing about ownership it was own by some big wig from the Pepsi Company. They would fly on small private jet into the Bonners Ferry Airport, just east of the three mile junction .

Anna who I'm temporary taking care of. There pump to the well went out so there no running water in there home. So I have to heat up water on the stove for dishes. Plus there no washing machine. So I been using mine which is near by. So close right in basement.

Sawyer showed up with his dog “Boo” he was heading camping with some friends and found out someone was allergic to dogs. So he brought Boo to stay with us.

I kept her near our place. I didn't want her roaming to far.

Not sure what Daisy thought of Boo. But it really didn't matter. Daisy is a dog that really can focus.

Daisy doesn't really leave the place. In her mind there no place like home and one can't get into trouble or hurt on ones home porch. Or hiding behind ones couch.

What Do I Know

I think summer heat is here. But what do I know. I can briefly talk about the weather and gardens. Everything is sort of running late. The 5^th of July was our 1^st time hitting the 90 (32.2) mark. But last time it got up in the triple digit was in 2008. Oh I'm not saying it hasn't been hot a few times in last few years it been hugging a 100 (37.7)

If I was just starting this blog instead of calling my hubby Murphy. I know his name would have been “Asshole” Wednesday evening is his day to interrogate me. We had spaghetti for dinner.

It started about some Onion.

I forgot about the onion and we both like browned onion in our ground beef.

Murphy thought I purposely didn't but the onion in, because it was free. Only would use food that we had to spend money on.

I looked him in eye and said “I forgot about the onion and if you don't believe me, to bad. And shut the fuck up”

Now for the flowers is doing ok. I can't say the “Royal Sunshine” flowerbed is in somewhat is state of weedy mess. At times I should just start over but I invested time and money. But now I'm realizing what could be planted in there in hope to choke out the unwanted items

Things sure seem to be happening in the Hodge Podge flower bed. Like the hollyhock now have buds on them.

I didn't do any glads or dahlias but I notice one was coming up in the flowerbed,

Like the Allium and the Lilly.

Now for the veggie garden we been picking Strawberries, not enough yet to make jam. Munching away on the greens.

It seem this month we been having on going battle with gopher. Hope they move on. The hay field that hit our back yard just got it first cutting this week. I didn't notice much alfalfa among the grass. I don't know why this is.

Instead of doing Jam. Hubby been put some strawberries is freezer bags.

He went over to his sister Faith and picked some cherries off her trees. So now he are dehydrate them. He told me when they where young at one time government food commodities gave away dried cherries.

The only time I every had any of the food commodities is when the railroad was handling it fright and the train crew would bring it home from work.

I remember my father at times brought stuff home off the trains.

I sort of slipped away form smoothie and juicing. Wednesday when I got done with Faith. I finish up some juice I started.

I don't recall how much of what I use

carrots

left over juice from some can regular beets

apple

cucumber

2 tomatoes

2 inches of ginger.

I add about a good tablespoon of spirlina

If I thought of I would put in some celery.

I know the beet juice part was over powering.

So part of my photo hunt will be what going on.

The warmest days in June between years of 2010 and 2011 was almost the same 2010 it got up to 87.3 (30.7) for 2011 it got up to 86.9 (30.3) actual it less the degree different.

Last hot June we had was in 2008. It even got up to 100(37.7) on the 29^th.

Mountain Spring Church

We been visit variety of different religious services. The last two was picked by Murphy and Quenella. There a local church on the south hill of Bonners Ferry it seem to be the jumping joint. So I told Quenella I would meet her in the parking lot to south of church building.

So she told me it was down at fairgrounds and they was having a barbeque. So we went down there and there was a band playing and I have to give it 5 whistle blow.

Quenella and I stood quietly in the back. Murphy didn't come he went to work instead. I never new the pastor but I had heard his first name and he shook Quenalla and my hand. I told Quenella that he was the pastor of Mountain Spring Church

which is somewhat like a Calvary Chapel

I also found out this church has some type of endorsement from moody bible radio stations

Though more then one source I heard this church has a connection though a Calvary Chapel in the

San Diego area.

I sure hope all the teachings from Mountain Spring Church sure doesn't always angle toward “guilt trip”

I find using the guilt trip and or the fear factor is “pretty low” to me it form of control.

I don't know how many time I've heard a pastor base his services from Luke 15 (11 to 32)

the story on lost son. Every pastor I every heard do this story sure takes it from a different angle.

It one who had two son and one demanded his inheritance early and went out in blew out and ended up coming back home.

Statement time..I don't know if these verses wasn't his cup of tea. He may be great at other verses and do a fine sermon.

Some other time I may post my thoughts on this bible verses.

Well after the sermon a few people or should say quite a few of flock want to be baptized. They do the dunking in water.

So I said to my friend Quenella lets get a bite to eat and split this joint. So we ate and left.

It sad that they have to use or least this sermon and play the guilt trip card. Statement time.... I don't think much of using guilt or fear to get what you want. This church does so much for our local community. I known people here in our local community that they help, big time.

They even help people outside of there flocks that more then I can say for other churches.

If someone was looking for evangelical church in our local area and conservative I would suggestion Mountain Spring.

It sure wasn't my cup of tea.

So I would give Mountain Spring Church 2 tea cups and just barely pass the half way mark on the third cup of tea.

Editor note...I only attended one service and it wasn't there regular service.

If I didn't know about there involvement in our local community I would of gave them less tea cups

John Birch Arboretum

I wasn't sure when I was going to get this posting. I came conclusion that I enjoy journal or for me in this world a blog.

Not everything in one control. Which I don't even mind.

Murphy and I went and visit our son in the Spokane Valley which been a while.

I grew up in the Spokane Valley and we went up what is called the sunset hill so we could visit

John Birch Park

One tree I always enjoy in flowering Hawthorne my parents had one and I could say that ole tree had a peaceful way about it.

The one in front of my parents home was a red one but I have to say after see the

double white English Hawthorne it hit a spot for me. But a lot of people don't care about them because of the porkies.

Recently I been thinking and realize I only knew three creeks in Spokane area before which was Hangman (Latah), Chester, and Deep Creek.

I knew there was creek that ran though Finch park but never knew what it was called but now I know “Garden Spring Creek”

There where plenty of trees to look at.

I want to see the lilac collection and I did.

I really don't know if the men folks of family really enjoy it at all. Or they was trying to get to me. Like Murphy telling the boys they ought brought there fishing poles.

The rude remarks about the traffic noise. Confession time...The traffic noise was very distracting. The park was right beside the freeway. I would guess the park was there before freeway went though. President Eisenhower in the 50's put in our freeway system here in the United States and the park was put in 1949.

Regardless of there smart mouth comments. I enjoy the beauty of the park. I even found a tree with such long branch, the longest I seen.

Wonder what the tree could grab and hug. But I took a few minute sat under it on park bench.

What cause bruises?

I recently bruise my leg on one of our wood gathering adventures

When we loading the pick-up bed one of us and this time it was me in back of the bed of the pick stacking wood.

Some how I got hit buy a piece of firewood.

Statement time...The wood was being toss into the pickup gently.

I had my annual physical and there was no way that the doctor wouldn't see the bruise. But she thought it was a pretty nasty bruise.

But I had some blood work done and my numbers concerning my liver was good. If I understand right they might be some connection between liver and bruising.

They drew anther vile of blood and was going to do some other type of test.

I believe my last photo hunt I posted in “looking down” which I posted a picture of dirt road that Daisy and I been walking.

Confession time...I thought I would have been down a lot father then I am.

Poor Daisy it was last Wednesday her and I was doing our walk. Some big yellow dog attacked her and drew blood.

Daisy isn't a fighter. That dog drew blood. I had to chase it away. It followed us up Pleasant Valley loop for a while. I carried a stick so I could protected Daisy.

You see Daisy isn't a alpha female and she easily intimated. So most of the day she hide behind the couch

Wood Hunting Adventure

Work isn't going all that smooth for Murphy. His employer Will has quite a good size tree nursery. Up towards Porthill Idaho which is really the first town when you come into the United States.

Also Will has a few residents he rents out

His renters can't pay there rent so there working the rent off.

So in the mean time Murphy and I are taking care of things around here. Like getting firewood.

As we get older we look for firewood that is easy to get. But if we had our way it would load it self in back of the pickup.

But we really don't work that hard for it anymore.

We even found a place to just sit and watch the creek go by.

It seem there an adventure sometime in getting wood or story to be told. Oh!!! How I wish it was smooth going.

Murphy located this larch dead of course. Which it was.

It look like it would be an easy fall.

Murphy tramped up the hill to fall the tree down with all the supplies like chain saw, hammer and hedge.

It seem like it to the saw longer to cut then I thought it would.

Then the tree was down.

Murphy had to come down resharpen the saw. He said the tree was “stringy”

So after the say got sharpen we both went up so the log could be cut into rounds and rolled off the hill side.

Which was joke in it self.

Between the two of us we do pretty good getting fire wood. I pretty much know where to stick something under the log so it remains off the ground and can help him roll the log to be cut.

Well once I actual pushed and it started to roll. Lucky the saw was on ground and stopped before it really became a mess. You see Murphy was in front.

The rounds should of went straight down the hill but it seem to get caught on every little thing or a few of rounds had a mind of there own. Went into the brush and new growth of trees.

I believe the saw needed resharpen about 3 times or so.

To even load the wood it needed to be split in half. But being stringing that was anther chore in it self. Murphy did the splitting but I got them stood up an ready. Confession time...I used to chopped fire wood but I let my self get out of shape which is no one fault except mine.

But it took Murphy plenty of time to chop up this wood.

Like I said it was stringy.

It did finish off the load for the pick up. We where so glad we didn't have to walk back up the hill to finish off the log that we fell.

Murphy made a remark that he was hopping that there would be enough down on road so we wouldn't have to go back up. Because he wasn't into sharpening the saw.
