And these two are part of metamodernism and to me it looks like mostly the people on raft was from a painting way back when.

I guess there all sort of ways of doing a manifesto. Question time...Have you every thought of doing a manifesto? I would say mind would lean toward ECONOMIC EQULITY and which to me means no free gravy.

Interesting post, Dora. I have some familiarity with various manifestos, from Das Kapital to Mein Kamph and must agree with Bertrand Russell's comment, "All movements go too far."
ReplyDeleteI always thought manifesto was a fancy word for agenda, and manifest was like a list of things, like the cargo on a ship, or the passengers. Never bothered to look it up, now my dictionary says manifest is a document stating a ship's cargo and destination, while manifesto is a public declaration or proclamation.

ReplyDeleteManifesto - the word sounds nice, and it means no harm - just a public declaration of one's intent. In the hands of politicians , however, it could become very harmful. History proves that.
