I'm so Happy For The Cow That Jumped Over the Moon

Well I been busy not doing anything with great importance but yet busy.
So I thought I would catch you up on the news.

The other day when I was in the thrift store I found this carrot juicer for $4.99 and it worked great.
Made a some carrot juice but when I make carrot juice I add some other veggies in it and this time I even add a jalapeno pepper it sure gave it some kick

I told you I was going to make up two Santa bags one for adult and the other one for kids.
I was planning to purchase 3 gifts a month and they all needed to be under $2.50.
Well I’m doing stocking stuffers the same way.

So other day I got some decorated for under $2.00 each which will go in my boys stocking.

I was in safeway and they had a discount shopping cart and got a two pack of scotch tape for $1.00 it seems like anyone can always use a roll of tape.

Well I join tops and we finely had our Christmas party and it was fun at our one of our local café called the chic-chop.
We had a gift exchange and I got a wash rag and a oven mitt

After the party I went up and got my friend Quenelle and took her into town she is the one who just lost her hubby.
She hasn’t drove in years and she need to do some errands around town.
So I drove out to Katka and got her.
Wishing time…I sure hope everything goes well for her she has an strong spirit and she is 61 and can apply for her widow benefit but hopeful it will go though and this Aug she will be 62 and then she will get a little more then.
Like us their expense wasn’t all that much

I have some late breaking info there a valentine give away over at Pea it looks like all sort of goodies to many to list it worth checking out.

I just talk to Quenelle and she had good news about her social security widow pension and she will be getting a little over $1,000 a month.
I was worrying about how much she was going to get. Her husband got hurt on job in mid 80’s and has on disability (S.S.D) and she never worked out before.
I wasn’t sure how social security would handle her as a widow

  2. I'm sad for your friend loosing her husband, and happy for her that she'll get that much money per month. That will help her a lot. That's about what I get per month on my disability pension. Not easy to live on, but one can do it. Now she needs to get driving!!

The juicer looks good. Lucky find.

    Have a wonderful day.

  3. That is good news about the benefits but still so sad at the same time. I'm glad you found those treasures Peppylady! I love shopping at thrift stores, I miss that. I'm glad you have ceramics to give you that creative energy and outlet. I am grateful for the peace that I have at home, especially during this bitter winter.
